Dear Salient developers, I should alert you that the latest WP release 6.2 completely wipes the shop page from its products. I don’t know if it’s a Woo or Salient’s fault. Please investigate (you can see my shop page here).
Hey Eluvial, Salient has been tested with the latest WP and WooCommerce without an issue like that showing up. Have you verified that your products display correctly when temporarily switching to the default WP theme? If so, please reach out via the contact form on my author page in regards.
hi, for some unknown reasons the problem just went away overnight. I cannot explain it, but thank you always for the tips. However, I think there is a design issue that can only be blamed on Salient (because my site is new, there’s nothing else except Salient+Woo installed), and it’s the empty cart products style, which doesn’t reflect any of the Salient Woo options. Do you have an idea what causes the issue? .
The problem in the shop page is still there. I have contacted you about this page. I hope you can fix it, it’s Salient’s bug and nothing else.
Moreover, the number of products added to the cart by javascript on the header icon is also not always appearing.

Hi. I have 2 navigation bar questions. 1. For a “Contained” navigation bar. Is there a way to control/adjust the width? 2. On certain pages my navigation bar is changing colours. I figured out the color issue but would LOVE to find out if there’s a way to control the width of the contain navigation. I’m looking to make a nice small one — not spanning most of the page.

1. The width will match the size of your main site container, as defined in the Salient options > functionality tab. Changing the width to something else would require CSS. If you would like assistance with this, please feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards
2. You can disable that effect in the Salient options > header navigation > transparent header effect tab via the “Header Inherit Row Color” field.

Hi, Is there a way to set the User Role so that Editor Users cannot see, edit and delete the GLOBAL SECTION that has been created by the Admin. But Editors can still view, edit and delete POSTs
We have tried making it with the user role editor plugin, if we make the Editor not allowed to see, edit and delete GLOBAL SECTION, then that has the effect of not being able to see, edit and delete POST too.
Is it because POST and GLOBAL SECTION use the same program?
Is there another plugin or other way to solve this issue?

You’ll need to register a unique capability for Global Sections via your child theme using the “register_post_type_args” filter. If you would like assistance with that, feel free to open a ticket on the support forum in regards.

I can’t get the background images to show properly on mobile. I tried playing with all of the settings but still can’t get it to work. The images are cut off and although they are as wide as the screen, the height of the image is only like 20 pixels. All of the settings are default. It is the image of a guy holding a bottle and the image of a sea salt caramel bottle. https://rb.gy/9fbsr0

When your columns display vertically, there’s currently nothing giving height to the empty columns where you’ve placed those BG images. You can set a height for mobile by adding a divider element inside the empty column and adjusting it to your desired height.

There is no built-in way in WordPress to specify the ID of a post when it’s created, as that is handled automatically by WordPress internally. If you’re referring to setting an ID on the div that is output to the frontend, you can use the ‘Row ID’ field when editing any of your rows within the page builder.

As of now there’s no option to use that effect on portfolio projects. However, you can link a project to a page which is using that by using the “External Project URL” field.

There’s a bug in the typography. Woocommerce single products style, they don’t apply at all (even if you specify them in the Typo general settings). They used to in previous version. It might be due to Woo’s latest re-work of the product and cart layout (as a matter of fact, typos don’t apply to any Woo page, fonts are too small). Please investigate.

I have just verified locally that all of the product typography options should have no conflict with the latest WooCommerce. If you would like to open a ticket on the support forum with your actual site information, we would be happy to take a closer look.
If you’re using the newer block-based cart/checkout, WooCommerce sets their own font rules for sizing on that which we do not override. The product desc and table headers are all set to 0.75em of what your main body font size is specified as.

I cannot afford to purchase support so I would appreciate any help from here. Thank you. I don’t use blocks so I don’t know why Woo is overriding Salient anyway. You can see that also the products styling is corrupted when the cart is empty.

Your cart page is currently populated using the new WooCommerce cart block instead of the shortcode. You can edit the page to use the [woocommerce_cart] shortcode instead of the block, which is essentially the reverse of this process: https://themenectar.com/docs/salient/using-legacy-woocommerce-cart-checkout/

It looks like you’re missing some CSS which is included by default. Have you tried to clear your cache from site ground and temporarily disable the plugin to verify that it’s not causing the issue?

hello, it looks like the default slider pulling out the shop cart doesn’t redirect to the correct shop page. The link “go to shop” does not fetch the page choose in Woocommerce as a shop page. Can you please check? Or, how to link the button to a custom page?

I shall check further. But please notice also that when you are in an “empty cart” page (with new products also not appearing in the choosen style), the slider doesn’t work anymore and the page refreshes.

When you’re already in the actual cart or checkout page, the mini cart link from the header navigation will act a regular link and only lead to the cart itself rather than loading the slide out modal.

You mentioned that the option to change the shop page redirect is under salient/woocommerce/cart/mini-cart.php but changing the “shop” slug to my custom page (and also amending the permalinks and Woo pages) does not apply.
You also mention that when I’m in the cart page, the mini cart link only leads to the cart itself rather than loading the slide out modal. But I think it should turn to be a modal again, since the cart is empty but the user might wish to start a new shopping experience and the only place to start from (since there is no “back to shop” button) is the button inside the modal.

1. There isn’t a built-in option to change the empty cart link—it’s always set to match the shop URL. If your changes to the file aren’t taking effect, I’ll need to take a look at your site from the backend, which will require a support ticket.
2. At its core, WooCommerce doesn’t load the mini cart widget when you’re inside the Cart or Checkout templates.
