Hello, I’m coming back to you because my theme’s page builder cannot be updated. It remains in 8.0. The following message is displayed when the update fails: “An error occurred while updating Page Editor: The download failed. The URL provided is invalid.” I would like to point out that all updates have always been carried out correctly and that no modifications have been made to the site for several months. Do you have a solution to offer me? You already told me that you check every update but there apparently is a problem. My site is in French, installed on hosting in France. Kind regards.

Hello! I hope you are doing great. I just bought a new copy of your theme for my new website. Your theme is excellent on various points.

I have an important suggestion for your Porto theme, if your team consider to implement it. As a wordpress user the biggest problem every owner faces is SPAM (Fake) registration by various spammers. It leads to junk users data in wordpress website.

My suggestion is if you add Phone OTP verificaiton during registration of the user. Firbase is very famous and easy to install and I have a few themes that are using this feature in their themes.

I have a few website and the sites where I am using phone verificaiton there are only real and genuine users registered. On the other hand the sites that doesn’t have Phone verification, its user list is big and maximum users are SPAM.

I hope your team will consider to add this important function in this theme.

In the Mobile header there are two issues: first on the My Account Icon the link is not working and second the My Wishlist is not visible on the mobile menu.

I see the section for Mobile header in Header Template builder, and if I change if the logo is centered or not, that shows on the mobile, but even though I see My Wishlist Porto Info box, I do not see the My Wishlist icon on the Mobile menu and also, the link for My account is not working (it is acting as if there is no link but the link is set in the Porto Info box for My account icon, and it is valid).

Please tell me how to solve this.

Hi,

I thought it might be a good time to use Porto again. This is my third license. I had no issues with the first installation many years ago—that shop still runs smoothly and makes money for my clients. While updates occasionally caused minor hiccups, they never required major work.

By the way, I’m a beta first-generation WordPress user. So please, don’t tell me to clear my browser cache or varnish on my servers…

I decided to use Porto for two of my clients because it seemed like a good way to quickly set up a decent shop. The clients weren’t willing to spend money on full, clean development. I did some testing, and honestly—what have you done?

Changing colors in Elementor often doesn’t work, especially on product page backgrounds. It’s a mess! I’ve had to tinker with CSS just to make it functional. This isn’t something I can deliver to clients.

Additionally:

Transparent images aren’t handled properly in the product slider, no matter what I try. There are so many small but frustrating issues. It’s become such a pain to work with. You should have stuck to your own editor instead of adding both Elementor and WPBakery on top. I know I can add custom CSS, but come on—why include a page builder if I still have to hack into the CSS?

Looking at the comments, it seems like response times for these issues can be slow. Plus, the documentation is either outdated or hard to find.

I’ll give it another shot on Monday during work hours. If I can’t fix what needs to be fixed, I’ll kindly request a refund.

I wanted to let you know that there are a few link errors to demo themes. Shop 1 Dark, Shop 2 Dark and Shop 4 dark links are pointing to the wrong themes. Install dark 1 and your get dark 4 theme. I would fix this asap please.

We have a website that is already configured with additional product fields using ACF. These fields:

Appear in the WYSIWYG editor when editing a product. Are displayed as extra tabs in the product’s TABS section on the frontend. Could you confirm if the theme is compatible with this setup?

Hi, we’re having an issue upgrading a site from version 4.2 to 7.1.

We are working on a staging copy of a website built years ago with WPBakery.

The issue is that portfolio – projects do not work as before.

We created a Layout with Template Builder Single and we need to create a block that allows customizing the text for each new project.

In the documentation, we noticed that “Porto Content” feature exists, but we cannot find it while using WPBakery.

Do you have any solution?

Updating from version 4.2 to 7.1 can be quite complex for an already built site, as you’ve missed many theme updates between your current version and the latest one. We’ve added and removed several features, and the theme’s design has also changed significantly. I recommend cloning your site to create a test environment. Update the theme and plugins there, resolve any issues that arise, and then migrate the changes to your live site.

Hello, The Porto theme has been working great for our site so far, but we’ve encountered activation failures for the license on our staging website.

According to the registration guide: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/how-to-register-porto/, the license could be used for one publicly accessible production website and up to five staging instances. We've been trying to activate the license on our staging website, https://staging2.rootdomain.io, with access restricted using the .htaccess file, as mentioned in the guide, but we keep getting a licensing error:

This code was already used in another site. One standard license is valid for only 1 website.

Does anyone know how to overcome this problem? We would like to use the same license for both our production and staging website copies without having to migrate it back and forth.

We’ve already opened a support ticket for this problem but are still awaiting a solution.
