Hello, I was planning on buying this template, but i was wondering if there were any pages that i cannot edit with elementor
You can edit with elementor only homepages. Search results pages, jobs, tasks, resumes are not editable via elementor.
how would i edit those pages?
They are mostly non customizable as they don’t need to.
How to disable the creation of “Company”?
Disable MAS Companies Extension
Hi, is there a way to deactivate the tasks option everywhere on the site?
What updates have been added to this product?
A commission feature has been added, to what is this commission for? Will money be exchanged through the site? When is payment made?
You can check everything in changelog https://docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/changelog/
How can I make my jobs appear in google jobs ?
Please check https://docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/google-job-search-integration/ It includes the proper schema for making your job listings compatible with the Google Job Search requirements, but it doesn’t automatically submit your jobs to Google.
Hi there, can the theme allow admin to create resume’s on behalf of candidates (so candidates don’t need to create a full account/profile)? I think WP Job Manager > Resume Manager allows this, so presuming it can be done if I install it along with your theme? Thanks
Yes you can
Hi there, we are interested in purchasing this theme, can we check with you first below?
1. Is it possible to enable employers to view candidates listings but require login or, even better, a paid plan to view the candidate profile page?
2. In the submit resume/company/job/task pages, can we customize the fields (add/remove), rename the fields, and change the placeholder text?
3. In the submit resume page, under social sites, can we add TikTok and Xiaohongshu to the service list? Can we also remove unnecessary services here?
4. Is there any way to moderate the candidates/resumes in order to prevent spammy users?
5. Is it possible to change the “Candidate”, “Employer”, “Task” labels site-wide?
6. Whenever the messages are sent, will the intended receipient receive email notifications?
Thanks!
Hi,
1. Yes, both options possible
2. Sure
3. Possible, you could replace icon of social network you don’t want with tiktok for example
4. You can require admin approval before publishing resume/job
5. Of course
6. Yes
That’s great, thanks for your quick response!
Hi
I have a question before purchasing: We would like to have both candidates and freelancers. It will be free for Employers to post jobs and review candidates but we would like to charge a fee or % for users posting freelance gigs? Is this possible? We’ve read your support docs and it wasn’t clear. If it is possible are you able to assist with clear directions for the setup?
Thanks
The % commission is not for adding task/gig but for completing the gig/task. You can charge them either for adding the task (via a paid package) or by charging a commission upon task/gig completion.
That’s great thanks, we can work with that. We are happy to go ahead and purchase. Is it possible or are you able to assist with clear directions for the setup? So we can have both candidates and freelancers as seperate sections.
Check our documentation for theme installation and setup, there’s Setup Wizard included that will set your site just like demo is https://docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/demo-content-import/
As mentioned we did check your documentation and it wasn’t clear. We have also had a colleague test the wizard and the setup did not have both candidates and freelancers – just freelancers.
We are 100% happy to buy but would like support with this.
I am not sure what you mean by “just freelancers”. Each online resume in WorkScout is basically freelancer profile. People can create their profile pages and use it for applying jobs and use it as freelance profiles to bid on micro jobs. https://workscout.in/resumes-grid/
Sorry, to be clear. We want to use this for Candidates applying for jobs posted by employers and for Freelancers applying for gigs posted. Our colleague mentioned to us that after using the wizard they either had a set up for candidates or for freelancers but not for both.
I am sorry but I don’t know what that means and where he sourced our theme “Our colleague mentioned to us that after using the wizard they either had a set up for candidates or for freelancers but not for both.”.
I explained how it works. It doesn’t matter if it’s resume or freelancer profile, it’s just nomenclature
I understand that, from a technical standpoint, it may not make a difference. However, from a user experience perspective—especially for non-tech-savvy users—it’s important that candidates and freelancers are clearly distinguished. Users need to immediately see where they should go: one path for candidates and another for freelancers.
This concern was raised by our colleague, who has already purchased your theme and recommended it to us.
Can you explain how we can configure the theme to use unique terminology for both candidates and freelancers. If there is a guide or demo that demonstrates this setup, I’d appreciate it if you could point me in that direction. Once we have clarity on this, we’ll be ready to move forward with the purchase.
Thanks in advance.
It’s not possible. Freelancer = Online Resume in our theme.
Thanks for your response. I appreciate your time, but I want to clarify the issue to avoid any misunderstanding.
Initially, you mentioned that it was possible to have candidates and freelancers and the ability to take commission upon job completion. That worked for us.
However, we specifically need to distinguish between candidates (who apply for jobs) and freelancers (who apply for gigs/tasks).
From a user experience perspective, it’s essential that these two groups are clearly separated, as many users won’t understand that a “resume” also means a “freelancer profile.” Our concern is about guiding users effectively through the platform.
If your theme does not support having both candidates and freelancers as separate sections, can you confirm this definitively? If there is any way to achieve this with custom settings, modifications, or additional plugins, we’d appreciate clear guidance before we proceed with the purchase.
I confirm it definitely, it’s quite specific requirement never requested by anyone else so far.
I have questions before purchasing:
1. Is it possible to charge users for registration? I’d like to charge freelancers for making a profile on the site.
2. Is it possible to have the freelancer profiles without any tasks/bids? I really just want a straightforward job board with freelancer profiles that include messaging but without any bidding system. I’m not interested in splitting payments on work someone else is doing.
3. Is there a way to make an approval system? With scams out there, I’d like to make sure any jobs/profiles are legit before going live.
1. You’d need some aditional plugin for that like WP Paid Membership
2. Sure, it’s optional
3. Yes
Hi, the latest version of Workscout, does it support the latest WP Job Manager update which shows job stats in the job dashboard e.g. number of views, job alerts sent, applications sent? I can’t see any jobs in the admin demo so hard to say if the stats are available. Thanks!
Yes it does, make sure you have everything updated and in Job Listings -> Settings enable the Job Statistics module
Hi, I have been using this Workscout theme for a couple of years. When a job application gets submitted, the mail should be sent to the employer and the candidate too but it’s not working. Is there any specific setup for that? please help me with this.
We replied to your email.
Not received the reply yet but yeah will wait. Please help me.
Check spam then
Hi Just checking in, is the new update running smoothly, or have there been any major bugs reported? Trying to decide if I should install it now or hold off for a bit.
Hi, make an update in staging environment and test yourself. If you have 3.0 and want to upgrade then definitely do it on staging first. If you had 4.0 already I can’t see any risk
Hello, I would like to buy your theme, but I need advanced chat options. Here in comments I already read, that you work on it, but you answeard before almost 1 month and when I tried your demo, so chat is very basic (just writing). Can I know if and when it will be finish?
Here is conversation:
“Can freelancers and employers send files or images to each other while messaging? – Hi, we’re just about to integrate advanced system where freelancer and employer can chat with each other, send attachments, mark milestones, approve or reject them etc.”
Update was released yesterday https://prnt.sc/IYVobrWwdOe6
This is project page with chat between freelancer and employer. Messages feature remain basic but once employer chose freelancer for his project then have access to project page

I just sent it.
Hola,
Nice work, purethemes!
How can I charge for registration an employer?
Can I put a price like $1 on the freelancer’s page service?
I wanted to create a contact fee, that is, for the employer to be able to contact the freelancer’s services they have to pay a fee of $1, for example.
Is it possible to do this in your theme, how?
Thanks
Hi, You would need to use plugin like WP Paid Membership to charge users for registration.
There is no contact fee feature, you’d need to hire a developer who could add this functionality for you.
thanks
which php version this support to 7.4, 8.0, 8.2 ?
All
Any updates coming down the pipeline?
Yeah, this week
hell yes!
An error occurred while updating WorkScout: Update package not available.
Do manual update then https://docs.purethemes.net/workscout/knowledge-base/how-to-update-theme-and-plugins/
manually moved new files across, site is still saying older version (and i can’t see the new features like Login & Register Form Fields Editor). ???
Send support ticket with admin access please

What your ticket number? Nothing sent from with your nickname https://prnt.sc/6lV124JVhYNV
HI, How can I use the job search from home template 2 in home template 5. I prefer the latter layout but the job search layout for 2.
Already replied to your ticket.
Hi,
I just wanted to follow-up on two features mentioned in the comments and wanted to know their status: - the advanced live chat feature - the charge a commission on jobs feature
Both were expected to be completed relatively soon. Can you please advise when they’re roughly expected ?
Thanks
It’s finished but we also wanted to add drag&drop builder for login/registration form and push one update with all features. Editor is almost done.
Perfect, can you give a date estimate. End of February ? I’d just like to plan.
Earlier, within a week max.
Presale Questions:
1- How does the update process work for WP Job Manager paid addons that are included with the theme when new addon update happen?
2- What applicant statuses are available (e.g., Pending, Approved, etc.)?
3- Can I add additional applicant status ?
4- Is there an option to download all CVs in bulk for each job?
Hi,
1. If you want to receive updates for these consider purchasing license
2. The available applicant statuses in the WP Job Manager include: New / Interviewed / Hired / Archived
3. Yes via custom php snippet.
4. I am afraid no
