Having a huge issue with the slider and skill toggles. I think there is an issue with the javascript. I have not made any changes to the site and it was working just fine until yesterday. Now the slider is just gone and the toggles reflect as if they can’t read the java. This site was suppose to launch yesterday, immediate help would be really appreciated!!!! thanks

Hi – I have a strange problem, that I was hoping you could help me with. I just discovered that none of my portfolio items are appearing, only revealing the error message “No posts were found.” Everything was working fine just a month ago, and I hadn’t changed anything, other than the usual wp updates. I have tried disabling the plug ins, didn’t help.

it was permalink issue? Try to change slugs of portfolio page and category. Also, try to update the theme because I think this issue is solved in one of latest updates…
Only some of the buttons to insert shortcodes are working (columns, social icons). I thought it was a plugin conflict, but it seems strange that all of them wouldn’t be disabled.
(Themeforest really needs to add a way to search the comments.)
You’ll have to update the theme. Sometimes after updating old script is still in the cache, so clear the cache of your browser upon updating…

Hi – I have purchased this item and have almost finished my site however there is a square box around my portfolio items shaped as circles. I’d like this area to show the background texture (rough paper) as it looks silly with the white. How can I fix this?
You can’t do it easily. You can try to edit bigbangwp/images/mask-circle.png to match the bg pattern, but this is almost impossible to achieve
Hi there – When you choose yellow as the accent color, the words in the menu show up as white (just like they do for all of the colors) the only thing is, when it shows up as white, you can’t read it. How do I make the text show up black on the menu when the yellow block appears?

First of all, want to thank you for creating this lovely theme. In addition to using it for my personal portfolio site, I have now been recommending it to my students for purchase.
I’ve searched the comments on here, but have been unable to find an answer regarding photostream aggregation.
Is there a way to use your photostream page in a more curated way? For example, to assign a particular Flickr set/collection (versus user)? And if not, are there any plugins you recommend for that functionality with this theme?

Thank you for your response. Please excuse my thick headedness. I am still very stuck. I have set up portfolio items (I have two), portfolio categories (there is 5) and a parent category (there is 1, which all of the 5 child categories reside under).
I then go to the page that I have created where I would like the portfolio to be. I only have one line of text on that page. I then click on the Brankic short code pop up window that resides in the text editor area. I see no parent category to choose from in the shortcode pop-up. When I click on “portfolio” nothing happens.
Thinking I’ve got it confused I try something else. I have also tried getting the portfolio short code to appear in the text area in one of the portfolio items to see if I am actually supposed to put it there. No reaction there either.
I am not sure if I have not set something up correctly or if the code is somehow broken? I must note that most of the shortcodes I press do nothing. Only one or two spit out a line of code. Please advise! If you would like any of my passwords to get in the back end please let me know and we can do this via private message.

When you click on portfolio shortcode button you don’t have any category listed in “Category to show”. That parent category (and all subcats) must be there…

Thank you for your response but I am still having trouble. I have added more portfolio items. There is now 7 portfolio items and 5 categories and 1 parent category. Still when I go to click on the the portfolio shortcode there is no drop down that you speak of. When I click on the portfolio shortcode NOTHING happens. Nothing happens with many of the shortcodes I click. I suspect that the shortcodes are somehow broken? Can you please contact me via email at: sarita@awarewolfcreative.com so that I may give you my WP admins perhaps you can take a look back there and see if you can figure out the portfolio issue. I have noticed this morning that my site lovelydayinteractive.com has began malfunctioning.
I have no idea what could have done this however the homepage slider is missing, the shortcode is not working correctly, and much of the Java is not functioning correctly such as the slider bar graph and such.
I would appreciate if you can give me some pointers on what may have happened.

My problem was a plug-in. After some research I found that plug-ins can effect everything from shortcode to javascript. They can mess up a lot of features.
When plugin authors update their code, sometimes it can affect your site. In your Plug-ins Panel, try deactivating plugins one-by-one that mention they need updates.

Some plugins can be in conflict with some themes. General advice is to use only plugins with a lots of downloads…
