Hi Pagick,

1. there seems to be an issue with how the chat should open. in datebook > messages > I select either yes/no on open the chat in a new window. both options open the chats in a new individual windows which ends up with having a couple of chats open (with all conversation) instead of one chat window with all conversations.

2. Is there any update on the chat calculation?

3. Can we maybe implement a beta-version that allow professional site owners to access a version pre-release to test if the implementation will cause other things not working and maybe report it? I personally prefer to test a release and decide for my self if I should update it or not based on if the release makes it better, less worse or kills it and I’d rather wait for the release then updating to a version that causes other things not working. For users having essentials features not working looks very bad and business owners are forced to soothe them by giving out vouchers and freebies.

Hi LeonGeb. 1) I just checked the chat windows on our side. The chat windows open in new windows. It is ok. Perhaps, you use some cache or SEO plugin that removes/changes the target attributes in the links.

2) Yes, the update with fix for chat calculation will be available tomorrow or later.

3) Good idea. But how to realize it? I think it is impossible to test a pre-release update on a production site. It is better to create a special test website for such test purpose.

ad 1: i only installed SEO tools after that and as always I’m testing on staging without any plugins activated. the problem is not that the windows i not opening in a pop-up, the issue is that no matter what setting i use, it keeps opening a new chat in a new pop-up instead of opening a new chat in an existing pop up

ad 2: superb!!!!

ad 3: my proposal would be:

1. post or send pre-release version to whoever is interested 2. In my case, i will copy down my PROD to my staging and install the pre-release there where i can test everything I need to test 3. maybe include feedbacks to a page or direct mail 4. categorize the remarks as minor/trivial/major/critical/blocker (where blocker would IMO initiate a code review from your team) 5. get rid of the criticals and blockers as they most likely decrease the quality of the release

basically, all we need is the pre-release version and maybe a weekend to test it (if you want feedback prior to release)

Here is a guide on how to backup and restore the settings:

  1. First, save the theme settings as you do usually. Go here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> click on the Save button.
  2. After that, reload the page. A new backup file will appear at the bottom of the settings.
  3. Click on this ⤓ button to download the backup file onto your desktop.
  4. In the future if you want to restore the settings, upload this backup file into this folder ”/wp-content/uploads/datebook-options/”. Actually, you can read at the bottom of the settings where backup files are stored. “All backups are stored in this folder /home/yoursite/public_html/wp-content/uploads/datebook-options/”
  5. Delete other backup files if they exist.
  6. Go here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard.
  7. At the bottom of the page, click on the backup file (Example of file name: 1) 10 Aug 2025 05:22 (67 KB)). It will be restored automatically. The theme settings will be automatically restored.

I noticed that the selected languages ​​(those provided natively by the theme) are still a mix between the predominant ENGLISH language and the other selected language (German, Spanish, French, Italian, etc., etc.) despite the latest version of the theme and plugin installation. Not to mention the only custom file I manage with LOCO Translate (Italian language) that doesn’t work at all (it used to work before).

Why haven’t the translations been fixed and made to work as they did before WordPress changed the settings, even on the latest version of the theme 4.9.5?

Other problems encountered with the latest version include the disappearance of the “search” button in the site header, as well as all the icons being italicized (SOME HAVE JUST DISAPPEARED).

You mentioned that the language mix was a known issue right after WP version 6.8. You say the problem has been fixed. Frankly, you should tell me if you’ve tested the theme’s native translations with your active child theme, not just the parent theme, to see if they actually work as they should.

Have you tested with the CHILD THEME?

There’s a conflict with Elementor regarding the icons, causing some to be bent and others to disappear.

Activate the child theme on your demo site and go to any page on the website, entering “Italian” or Turkish or German (or any language other than English) as the language, and you’ll instantly see if everything is working correctly—that is, the entire website will be fully translated. (If you could attach a video confirmation, I’d appreciate it.)

Hi Pagick, There seems to be a general issue with “yes, this needs to be hidden once used” subscription setting.

Not only is it not hidden when the setting is on (as mentioned by others) but its also not purchaseable once I purchased it and the setting is off.

Hello, We have an issue with profile display on the site. For all users, the public profile shows the message: “The user has not filled out the profile yet”, even though the description actually exists in the profile. If we go to edit the profile and simply click “Save” again, then the description starts displaying correctly. However, the site already has more than 19,000 profiles, and most of them appear empty, which makes the platform look like a fake or inactive site and discourages users.
