Users keep sending me emails again about chats not calculating correctly. I tried this with my girl and seh only messaged 2 people and although her subscriptions allows 20 Users per day, it gives her the chat restriction message. I checked your releases and this was supposed to be a part of the august 6 release.

for the GDPR compliance I was trying to install CookieYes plugin which then lists me all the cookies my site (your theme, plugin) uses. It lists me 2 cookies which are uncategorized.
So we need to know if they are necessary and information of what they do.
If not necessary – then if user don’t want to accept them then we need “Script URL pattern” to block them (https://www.cookieyes.com/documentation/implement-prior-consent-using-cookieyes/#1_Adding_s_1).
The cookies are – 1) datebook_visitor_timezone_set, 2) datebook_redirect_to .
Could you please help.

Hi bellsfasta. These cookies are required by the theme:
1) datebook_visitor_timezone_set – This cookie detects the visitor’s time. The theme then displays the time in profiles, chats, blogs, etc. based on the visitor’s country time.
2) datebook_redirect_to – When a visitor goes to the login page, he logins, after that he redirects to the page he came from.
Both cookies are not very necessary, but it is up to you.

How do others should get theme updates in general? Other plugins get updates directly in my WP dashboard. I have no troubles at this time but a question and maybe I just don’t know the process.

Hi. The profile types means that you can create different types of profile. For example: profiles for dating, profiles for agents, profiles for doctors, profiles for teachers, profiles for students, profiles for pets, and so on. Actually, this is experimental functionality. We are still watching how those types should work. Try it and leave your opinion about it. Thank you.
By the way, different profile types can have different forms and fields.

Hi. Check if the home page is selected here: WordPress -> Settings -> Reading.
Also, check if the home page has a DateBook template selected in its settings. How to do that. Just go here WordPress -> Pages -> click on the Quick edit right under the home page title.
Also, re-save the theme settings here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard.

There is an incompatibility whith the module https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall/ and your theme When we use this module and then try to connect to our admin account, it refuses to let us connect. The theme has some security options. Perhaps , they block access. Try to disable then here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Dashboard -> Security.

But if you have fewer than 30 profiles, then profiles will not be displayed on the home page at all. As a solution, you can select 15 profiles.

Hi. Yes possible. You can have sites only for gays, or only for straights. This is sexual orientation. You can add/remove sexual orientations here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Fields -> open the Sexual orientation field for editing.
These fields (looking for sex, looking for friends) are simple fields. You can add them here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Custom Ffields -> click on the Add new button -> fill in your field.

Hi. Some theme pages are not editable. The classifieds page is not editable. But the text on the tours page can be edited. Just open the Tours page for editing in the administration area and change the text.
Why can’t we just use tha pages ? That would be a lot easier if your theme used the basic functionnality of WP. You code added to the normal page as an exemple.
DateBook pages are specific pages. Those pages have lots of specific functions. If we add code to normal pages as you said, then it will be nightmare for your servers in the future.
But may be, I do not know something. Perhaps, you know better way to develop pages that will run fast and not overload servers.

Hi. The gender field can have only 2 icons for female and male. Those icons are already implemented in the theme. It is impossible to add other icons.

First, enable your language here: WordPress -> DateBook -> Languages
Second, go here and and create a new menu for your language: WordPress -> Appearance -> Menus.
On the the same menu page, add items from the left side to the right side. Also, select the Main menu with the language below where your items should appear.

I have a couple of questions:
1) I’m wondering if, besides the object cache and static content cache (CSS, etc.) that can be enabled on the dating site, is there any other form of caching you’d suggest, even if you could use some workarounds? I read some comments below where you said to create an empty page, assign a URL to the cache, and activate cron every minute on that page (if I remember correctly, it said something similar). I’ve already enabled the custom cron every minute on the website server, but I don’t have any form of page caching enabled. Could you explain more?
2) I also wanted to ask about caching: is the logged-in user cache a good idea, even with many logged-in users? Do you think it could cause problems even after excluding pages like subscriptions and the like from the cache?

Also, I had looked at a hypothetical PWA app, but to make it one, the website needed to be cached.
Otherwise, it wasn’t worth using a plugin that would allow me to create a PWA and then have all the content uncached.
This would be an aspect you should consider for a step up.

Hello, on my website the Gender selection popover is not visible in the main search page. So when user clicks either gender, it is not clear what is selected by user. This is on all the form where gender is selected. This same right from fresh demo installation. I tried it to use custom styling but has no effect on this one. Here is a simple logic on my mind. Since we already have a complete list of countries, we could select COUNTRY from the list then do bulk add of STATES OR REGION then upload. For bulk City, NEXT user can select a region or state then bulk add cities (a text one per line). I think it would be a good update.

What I am really sad about is the lack of literally “Support” of your userbase. in 3 pages of the posts, I am (without being smug about it) the only one who is tagged as “supported” which means who pays for your support.
I’m not sure if this is a bug or there are other means to support you that do not show that tag but if not, this is just very very sad. I paid 27 euro to get 6 months support. Thats one game or 1 dinner less in 6 moths and returns and improves a theme that is 8 years old, constantly get udpates and is just amazing to use…
