Hi Support Team,
First of all, thank you for providing such a wonderful theme.
I purchased the theme today and would like to start setting it up. Before I begin, I want to install the child theme to ensure that any customizations remain intact after future updates.
I’d appreciate it if you could clarify the following points:
1 – Is it completely safe and recommended to use the child theme instead of the main theme?
2 – During the installation process of the child theme, it asks to install the main theme first. Should I upload and activate the child theme after uploading and activating the main theme?
3 – Will the child theme function exactly like the main theme in terms of demo content, plugins, and templates?
4 – After downloading the full theme package from ThemeForest, I found separate folders for demo data, plugins, the main theme, child theme, Elementor templates, sliders, etc. Do I need to install the plugins and import the demo data manually after activating the theme?
I’d appreciate it if you could respond to all points so we can avoid going back and forth in follow-up messages.
Thank you for your support.
Kind regards,
Sorry for another comment, I uploaded both the main and child industry themes. and activate the child theme only. Install all plugins, but when I try to import the demo data, it gets stuck on that page for more than 30 minutes and not move forward
Thanks for using our popular Factory & Industry theme – Industrie.
1. Is it safe and recommended to use a child theme?
- Yes, it’s completely safe and highly recommended when you plan to customize your theme’s code (e.g., PHP, CSS).
- A child theme inherits all functionality, styles, and templates from the parent theme.
- Benefits include:
- Safe updates to the parent theme without losing customizations.
- Clean separation of custom code from core theme files.
- If you’re not modifying code, using the main theme directly is fine too.
2. Installation order: Main theme first, then child theme?
- Correct. You must install the main theme first, as the child theme depends on it.
- After uploading and activating the main theme:
- Upload the child theme via Appearance → Themes → Add New.
- Activate the child theme (not the parent).
- The child theme will automatically pull styles and functions from the parent.
3. Will the child theme function like the main theme?
- Yes, the child theme will function identically in terms of layout, templates, and core features.
- However, demo content and plugin setup may not be triggered automatically unless the theme author has configured the child theme to support it.
- In most cases, demo import tools (like One Click Demo Import) are tied to the parent theme, so activating the child theme won’t affect functionality.
4. Manual installation of plugins and demo data?
- Yes, you typically need to install plugins and import demo data manually unless the theme includes an automated setup wizard.
- From your ThemeForest package:
- Install required plugins from the “Plugins” folder or via theme prompts.
- Use the “Demo Data” folder or the theme’s built-in importer to load demo content.
- Elementor templates and sliders may need to be imported separately via Elementor and Slider Revolution respectively.
Ohh for last comment – normally it took 15-20mins depends on demo pages & media files used into demo. Demo import might get stuck due to several common issues. One of the most frequent causes is low PHP configuration limits—settings like memory_limit, max_execution_time, Post_max_size and max-file uploads may be too low for the import process to complete successfully. It’s also important to note that some themes require the parent theme to be active during the demo import process, even if you plan to use the child theme afterward, so it’s a good idea to activate the main theme temporarily, complete the import, and then switch back to the child theme. Another potential issue is missing or inactive plugins; even if they appear installed, some may not be properly activated or may have failed silently, so double-check that all required plugins—especially those related to demo import, Elementor, and sliders—are active. Additionally, hosting firewalls or limited server resources can block long-running import scripts, especially on shared hosting, so contacting your hosting provider to ensure the import process isn’t being blocked or throttled can also help resolve the issue.
Recommended PHP Configuration Limits:
Many issues that you may run into such as: white screen,400 error, 500 error, demo content fails when importing, empty page content and other similar issues are all related to low PHP configuration limits. The solution is to increase the PHP limits. You can do this on your own using cpanel, or contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:
Allow Url Fopen (allow_url_fopen) – ON
cURL library** – your server must work with curl or url_fopen.
OpenSSL must be enabled.
PHP memory_limit = 256M
PHP max_execution_time = 600
PHP Post_max_size = 128M
PHP upload_max_filesize = 128M
If still facing issues please try to create support ticket with purchase code and admin access so that our support can take care of it as quick as possible for you.
https://rstheme.com/supportThanks for the response. So you mean first I have to activate the main theme. import demo data. Then deactivate the main theme and activate the child theme.
So my question is, do I have to import the demo data again after the child theme activation?
Did you update following setting of your server:
Allow Url Fopen (allow_url_fopen) – ON
cURL library** – your server must work with curl or url_fopen.
OpenSSL must be enabled.
PHP memory_limit = 256M
PHP max_execution_time = 600
PHP Post_max_size = 128M
PHP upload_max_filesize = 128M
max_file_uploads =500
Did you able to import? Demo import related to hosting configuration. If still facing issues please try to create ticket. We will look shortly:
https://rstheme.com/supportHi there, thanks for the support. Really appreciate that.
Quick question, the demo is successfully imported, but when I visit the website, the home page does not appear, but when I log in to the admin panel and then visit the website URL, the home page appears. After I logged out from the admin panel, and visited the website URL, it would not appear.
If someone creates a homepage manually before importing the demo content, WordPress might automatically assign that page as the front page. To fix it:
- Go to Settings → Reading in your WordPress dashboard.
- Under “Your homepage displays”, choose “our demo homepage”.
- Then select the correct homepage from the dropdown — usually the one imported with the demo.
4. Save changes.
You can look our documentation link:
https://rstheme.com/docs/industrie-industry-factory-wordpress-theme/general-settings/homepage-settings/Hello, I hope this message finds you well.
There are tabs for services, portfolio, and teams where we can input these details along with categories and subcategories. The advantageous aspect is that shortcuts are already provided in the industry add-ons.
However, how can we achieve the same for products? In the theme, if we install WooCommerce, it offers product options, but there are no shortcuts or add-ons related to products that facilitate their addition to pages concerning categories and subcategories.
Furthermore, when we access Elementor, it indicates that we must purchase Elementor Pro to incorporate it into the pages.
How can we address this issue? If I utilize the services tab for products (as I only need to display the products with details, without pricing or other information), how can I modify the breadcrumbs since it will indicate services?
regards
For WooCommerce, we have options of customizer for disabling the cart feature – with price or without price. You can enable it from
Appearance -> Customize -> Industrie Options ->Woocommerce Settings.

Thanks for the response, but I think I didn’t make myself clear. My issue is that I’m unable to add products or product categories to any page in Elementor the way we add services or projects. Is there a way to display products on the website the same way?
how can i create the support ticket? there is no option of register or signup page on your website.
We don’t have addons for woocommerce. You can use woocommerce core features. You can create support ticket into following link:
https://rstheme.com/support.I have imported the main demo and worked on it, but now I realize that I changed the main page to another demo. Can we do that without losing data?
After keeping backup or exporting updated demo – you can try with new one. If need help try to create ticket we will try to assist you. thanks
Hello admin, can I ask for the Item Purchase Code?
Follow following link:

Deactivate the code from demo version so that you can activate into live version. Thanks
Hello. I have installed your theme but every tie i try to activate it with my license the page goes blank and freezes. I have sent a support ticket but would really appreciate a quick reply as this is stalling my build severely. Additionally, I am getting this error with the demo import:

max_execution_time =1000
max_file_uploads = 500

Hi, just bought the theme, demo import issue, have raised the support ticket, please check ASAP
I already imported demo data for you. Check the site and reply on ticket. Thanks
Hi, I’m working with the Industrie theme and have created two footer templates—one in English and one in Spanish. I’m trying to assign each footer to its respective language version (using Polylang) of the site, but I’m not seeing where in the theme settings this can be configured.
Try to install following plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/connect-polylang-elementor/Then try to translate header and footer also through polylang.
https://polylang.pro/how-to-translate-elementor-with-polylang/The thing is Polylang let me translate both Footers but the theme does not allow me to assign one or another to each language. On the Menu main menu i can tell if its Primary Menu Espanol or English but not the footer.
You have to translate also header and footers for everything working good. Thanks
but that´s the thing, Footer Main is not on Pages or Posts. There is no way to identify that for each language. Only thing is create a Template but then the theme is not linking that specific template footer only the Footer Main (which I don´t know where it sits)
On setting of Polylang check Header Footer Builder post type check. So that you can translate like pages or post:
https://prnt.sc/rJAlqbT9YUDsPolylang allowed me to translate two different pages. This was fine. Problem is when its done Industrie theme still looking Footer Main, which is not anywhere to link different templates.
I also tried to change the footer.php but still not reading this changes
<?php $lang = function_exists(‘pll_current_language’) ? pll_current_language() : ‘es’;
if ( $lang === ‘es’ ) { echo do_shortcode(‘[elementor-template id=”1234”]’); // Footer Español } elseif ( $lang === ‘en’ ) { echo do_shortcode(‘[elementor-template id=”5678”]’); // Footer Inglés } ?>
Create support ticket with admin access so that support team can look it.
https://rstheme.com/supportNo need custom code – you can manage translation through header footer builder plugin. Thanks
I can’t import demo data.
What message are you getting during demo import? Actually demo import issue because of hosting low configurations issue. Error 500,503,504 only happen during demo import because of hosting low PHP configuration. It may low max_execution_time or max_file_uploads. Try to set following configuration of your hosting for getting demo imported successfully.

Hello,
I just submitted a ticket at https://rstheme.freshdesk.com/support/tickets/7720 regarding errors importing theme demos.
Please check back as soon as possible.
Thank you.
I already updated the ticket for you. Please try to check now. Thanks
Quick question, how do i specify (and where) what menu is used for the mobile header please? I just want to set it to the main menu, but can’t seem to find a way to do so. Thx
Disregard, the moment I asked, I found it! Hahaha, typical.
Thanks
Hello, we had to delete the SQL database due to a demo import problem, but we are currently experiencing issues with theme licensing. Licensing is not possible. A ticket was opened yesterday, but we haven’t received any response from you. We request your urgent assistance, thank you.

Delay because of weekend. I just already reset the purchase code for you. You can try now. Thanks
thanks
Welcome
Got an issue with the main header – it’s not showing on mobile. Any idea why that might be please?
https://hangan-projects.uk/ohh just checked you removed the header from Header & Footer Builder. Create ticket:
https://rstheme.com/supportTrying to import the orange multipage construction dmeo but fails with the error 503. Are there specific server settings I need to set to stop it failing, please?
Yes, this 503 error only happen because of hosting max execution time or any setting getting low comparing to theme requirement. Try to update following setting of your server then try again:
Allow Url Fopen (allow_url_fopen) – ON
cURL library** – your server must work with curl or url_fopen.
OpenSSL must be enabled.
PHP memory_limit = 256M
PHP max_execution_time = 1000
PHP Post_max_size = 128M
PHP upload_max_filesize = 128M
All of my server PHP settings far exceed what’s requested, yet still returns a 503 error. Also, the Orange contruction demo isn’t bundled with the theme, so manually installing it isn’t an option either
Some hosting have limits max_file_uploads 20. Can you try to set it 500. If set only 20. Otherwise you have to click Import Demo Data again till getting success message. Or share site url and admin access to our support – we will help you.
https://rstheme.com/supportThanks for your patience.
That seems to ahve been the silver bullet. Thanks for the prompt help
How did you import it – can you share with me?
Sure, I just made all the PHP changes as per your suggestios and the theme documention – Hostinger already has extremely generous limits by default, it was just the max execution time & max file uploads that needed amending.
Thanks for sharing. Hoping yours this comment will help others customers. If you will like our response don’t forget to rate at themeforest. Thanks
How can I do RTL translation for the header and footer? I want to customize each language with its own header and footer.
Which multilingual plugin are you using??
I used the Polylang plugin.
Try to use Connect Polylang for Elementor.
https://polylang.pro/how-to-translate-elementor-with-polylang/I have already used these plugins, but in the theme, I did not specify which header should be displayed for each language. For example, I used the French header, and it always remains the same. I cannot set the English header to appear when the site is in English; it still shows the French header.
Thank you, I solved the problem. Thank you very much!
Connect Polylang for Elementor is a great plugin. Great to hear. What did you do can you share here?
The menu is fine, it changes according to the language, but the footer does not — it always stays in one language. For the menu, I went to Customize -> Menus -> then selected each menu I worked on according to its language in the header.
But when I do the same process for the footer, the header menu selection gets removed. Why is that?
I want to assign a specific footer for each language of the site.
no need separate one – as you used Connect Polylang for Elementor plugin. You can just set each language footer on each section or containter.
If you will have 3 language. 1) set one lanuage 2) set another language 3) set another one
Yes, I have already created 3 footers in 3 languages, but the footer always stays in only one language. How can I set it so that, for example, the English homepage has the English footer, and the French homepage has the French footer?
Create ticket with access – support team will look it. Thanks
please reply to the ticket i opened yesterday
I just replied to your ticket. Thanks
Hi, I’m facing a bug with the Industrie theme when using it alongside the RS Elementor Header & Footer Builder plugin.
The menu font size change is not reflecting on the live site, even though I can change it in Elementor and see it in the preview.
I’ve already tried:
Changing font size in Elementor
Regenerating CSS & clearing all caches
Switching Elementor CSS print method
Adding custom CSS with !important
Disabling conflicting theme settings
Nothing works — the theme seems to override the menu styling, and this looks like a bug or compatibility issue.
Please help fix this or provide a workaround. Thanks!
I already sent reply to your ticket. Please try to reply there. We have to look it. Thanks
How can I respond to your support messages? Also, how do I check my support tickets if I don’t have a login ID or password?
Just reply the message you received. Thanks

Yes, Thanks
Hi! Where can I change the base of the portfolio-category/ URL to Spanish?
Appearance -> Customize -> Industrie Options -> Post Type Url Change.
If still need more help please try to create support ticket so that I can try to check for you.
Thanks
That answer is to change the portfolio URL, not the portfolio category that appears as portfolio-category. Additionally, I need to change the color of the highlight because I already changed the main color of the theme according to the online documentation, but the highlight of the slider still leaves it in the color it came with.
