The Exertio theme doesn’t use WooCommerce Bookings or any other booking plugin. It has a built-in system that supports:
Service purchases and project purchases
Custom offers between freelancers and employers
Freelancer proposals for projects
Employer invitations to freelancers for their projects
Everything is managed directly within the theme; no third-party booking plugin is required.
Ok,I understand. Here is my next presale question – the point is, that I dont have a classical freelancer/employee case. In my case its kind of B2C/B2B project, that means I am looking for a theme where I can offer relocation services like assistance with relocation to another country or city, including apartment search, administrative formalities, registration, and school enrollment and a lot more and on the other side businesses who help them and I am going to bring them together. So the ‘freelancer’ is the one offering help and employer would be the ‘seeker’. Is there a way to set up kind of % commision for businesses when a job is done? ty

Flow of Work
1. User Roles Setup You can easily rename the default roles to fit your concept:
Freelancer → Service Provider (business offering relocation assistance)
Employer → Client (person seeking relocation help)
This can be done using the Loco Translate plugin.
2. Registration
Service Providers register and create detailed profiles showcasing their services (e.g., apartment search, administrative support, school enrollment, etc.).
Clients register to post relocation requests or browse available providers.
3. Service or Project Posting The theme supports both workflows:
Service-Based Flow: Service Providers create predefined service listings such as “Apartment Search Assistance” or “Administrative Paperwork Support.” Clients can directly purchase these services from provider profiles.
Project-Based Flow: Clients can post custom relocation requests (projects), and Service Providers submit proposals. The Client selects the preferred provider and proceeds with payment.
4. Payment and Commission
When a Client pays for a service or project:
The payment is initially deposited into the Admin Wallet.
The Admin Commission (percentage) is automatically deducted.
The remaining amount is released to the Service Provider after completion or milestone approval.
Milestone Payments: For larger or multi-step relocation projects, clients can divide the total payment into milestones (e.g., “Apartment Search”, “Document Processing”, “School Enrollment”). Each milestone payment is held securely until that phase is completed and approved by the client.
5. Communication and Completion
Both parties can communicate through the built-in messaging system at any time, both before and during the process.
Once the service is completed, the provider marks it as done, and the payment is released accordingly.

I just purchased the theme, and I’m getting pretty frustrated.
1) The sticky header doesn’t work, even though it’s enabled.

4) When I register, I’m automatically an Employer. What if I’m a Freelancer?
I found out that I can switch between Freelancer and Employer, but I’d prefer users to be able to register either as a Freelancer or as an Employer directly. Is that possible?
5) I get the message “You are not allowed to create a project. Please verify your email first.” — but there’s no link to verify my email. The welcome email only says:

Hi, when you have activated a paid project submission, then the system will not allow anyone to submit a project without purchasing a package. That is why it is taking you to the package page. As you suggested I wrote to Envato once more and still haven’t received any answer before the amount was taken from my account! This is unacceptable. I have not been using your theme from the beginning – I only downloaded and installed it, tested it for a couple of days, realized it doesn’t work for me, and uninstalled it immediately. It is my right to change my mind if the theme does not meet my requirements. To simply sit out my refund request is bold and outdated. I cannot recommend either your service/support or your theme. This is outrageous I am very disappointed with such practices these days.

These were only the bugs I found within the first few hours of using the theme back in october. It would take weeks/months to uncover all the remaining issues, and I do not have the time or patience for that neither the obligation to do that. This is not a matter of “fixing the item.”. Let me be absolutely clear: I am NOT USING THIS THEME ANYMORE AND I WILL NOT USE IT – do you understand that? Why are you forcing me?
The author is saying to contact you for refund, so he is willing to refund, so why are you blocking? Is this how you make money by refusing refunds and damage your reputation because of $79.00? Frankly, this handling is shocking.
If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will proceed with escalation, including a chargeback through my payment provider and formal complaints through your platform’s support channels. I will also document this experience publicly. I feel like I’m being deliberately messed around. This behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. Showing absolutely no goodwill in today’s business environment and making such an issue over $79.00 reflects extremely poorly on your company. Scriptbundle, are you supporting this practice? I dont want any fixes as I decided almost same day taht too many bugs and fixes needed, I want my money back…the reasons I did provide over and over again. Hope we can find a solution

Who can create milestones for projects?
In the Exertio theme, only the Employer can create milestones. This gives the Employer full control over defining project phases, setting deliverables, and managing payments. Freelancers do not have access to create or modify milestones — they can only view the milestones created by the Employer.
Milestone feature not visible on the demo site?
You’re right, the Milestone feature is not enabled on the live demo site for demonstration purposes. However, it is a fully functional part of the theme and can be easily enabled from the admin panel.

Yes, both freelancers and agencies can register. We use a single registration form where users must select their type during sign-up (freelancer or agency). Based on the selection, they will be assigned different dashboards. However, we currently do not support sub-accounts for agencies.
Our wallet system is available for both freelancers and agencies. Freelancers can withdraw their earnings via PayPal, Payoneer, Stripe, or bank transfer. They need to submit a withdrawal request, which the admin processes manually. At this time, direct payment options are not supported.
We’ve integrated WooCommerce for wallet top-ups, so you can use any WooCommerce-compatible payment method to add funds to your wallet.

Secondly, can we set up a fixed commission model instead for example, similar to Fiverr where 20% is automatically deducted from the seller’s earnings, and the rest is available for withdrawal?

No, they are different things.

Everything will function automatically. Freelancers will receive payments in their wallet(website account), and they can request a payout, similar to how it works on Upwork. The only manual step is that the admin will need to review and process payout requests.

If the freelancer adds a contact link or any other way to be contacted, the administrator currently cannot prevent said proposal from being sent by the freelancer, as they can in the services the freelancer posts. This feature is important. In fact, in previous messages, your team confirmed to me that this feature would be added in a new update. I should also update the documentation to somehow understand how to use the new features of this theme update.
