It does not use any custom AJAX or theme-level domain search handlers — all lookup logic remains handled entirely by WHMCS through its standard functions.

Regarding the WordPress integration:

- WHMCS Bridge is fully optional and not recommended. You do not need it. - WHMCS can run completely independently — not just on a subdomain (e.g., portal.example.com) but also on an entirely separate domain if preferred. WordPress would simply serve as your marketing site with no dependency on WHMCS. - Since we do not recommend using WHMCS Bridge, we cannot confirm how it behaves with domain lookup endpoints.

A couple of additional points to be transparent:
