Q1. Video Protection (Prevent Copy/Download)
A theme cannot technically prevent users from copying or downloading videos.
Any video played in a browser can still be downloaded using browser tools, screen recorders, or extensions — even if right-click is disabled.
You can improve protection by using:
Vimeo Pro / Vimeo Business (domain-level privacy, disable download, etc.)
A third-party plugin to disable right-click: https://wordpress.com/plugins?s=disable+right+click+
These options increase security, but no theme can provide 100% video protection.
Q2. Custom Code & Theme Updates
If you edit theme files directly, your changes will be lost after updating the theme. To keep your customizations safe, use:
UpStudy child theme, or

Hey, I love your theme, but I’m still not sure about the licenses. Could you please clarify if I can use it with a Regular License for the following cases?
a) Presenting my live Zoom courses, selling them via an external PayPal link, and then giving the course later externally on Zoom.
b) Presenting my live Zoom courses, selling them via my internal website shop, and then giving the course later externally on Zoom.
c) Presenting my pre-recorded courses, selling them via my internal website shop, and giving customers automatic access after payment to an external platform where the course is hosted.
d) Presenting my pre-recorded courses, selling them via my internal website shop, and giving customers automatic access after payment to the internal Tutor LMS area that comes with your template.
So, in no case is access to the whole website or a part of it is behind a paywall, because the courses are actually hosted on Tutor LMS (or externally), not directly within the website template itself. Is that correct?

Yes, you can use the theme with a Regular License for all the cases you mentioned (a–d), as long as you’re using it for one single end product (one website/domain).
Here’s how it applies to your examples:
a) ✔ You can present and sell your live Zoom courses via an external PayPal link. To integrate Zoom with Tutor LMS, you can check the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tuPCbzVm3O0
b) ✔ You can sell your Zoom courses directly from your website using WooCommerce.
c) ✔ You can sell pre-recorded courses and provide access to an external platform after payment.
d) ✔ You can sell and deliver courses directly through Tutor LMS inside your website — the UpStudy theme is fully compatible with Tutor LMS (and 2 more LMS plugins).
In all these cases, a Regular License is perfectly fine if you’re running one educational website for your business or institution. A Extended License is only required if users are charged to access the theme itself or if the website is used to create new websites for clients.

I’m using the UpStudy Education WordPress theme with an active license. and I am writing to report two issues I am currently experiencing:
1. Demo Template Layout Issue: The demo template layout appears broken and does not match the example/preview shown. The layout is distorted and differs significantly from what was displayed in the demo.
2.Missing Upstudy Element Addon: The Upstudy element addon is not appearing in Elementor. I cannot find or access this addon in my Elementor panel.
Could you please assist me in resolving these issues? Any guidance on how to fix the template layout and enable the missing addon would be greatly appreciated.

I’m using the UpStudy Education WordPress theme with an active license.
The issue occurs only when activating the child theme — plugins like Join.chat and Click to Chat don’t display the WhatsApp floating button.
When I switch back to the parent theme, everything works perfectly.
It seems that the child theme doesn’t trigger the wp_footer() hook, so those chat scripts are not loading.
Could you please confirm what needs to be added or adjusted in the child theme files (footer.php, functions.php, etc.) to make it work correctly like the parent theme?

If I purchase a theme (upstudy-education-wordpress-theme) and first use it on a demo website (for example: demo.example.com) for development or preview purposes, and later move the same theme to the final live website (for example: example.com), is that considered acceptable under the same license?
Also, if the original client decides not to continue with that project, can I reuse the same theme license for another client or domain, or would I need to purchase a new license in that case?

Already tried it, but the widget added under upstudy Learndash single page only applies in the course section, not in the lesson/topic/quiz. So, whatever widget like custom html for affiliate link I add, it will only show in the course section details, not in single pages like in ht elesson/topics/quiz.
I want a sidebar display at the right side of the lesson/topic/quizzes.

Really like the features. But there is a problem with importing demos. First, I installed the theme, activated it (was using another theme from themeforest), I followed the instructions (even watched the video in the documentation). Didn’t get any errors and it said everything was imported. But, the homepage was blank. I tried it again, still blank. I installed WP Reset, reset the site and activated the theme again, ran the setup, it installed required plugins and I imported the demo again. This time it is not blank but missing lots of images, style, design etc. It is like 1/3 of it is imported (tried this twice btw) and still not importing properly.
