Our other theme, Newspaper, has better RTL support than Newsmag. Newspaper has three RTL demos ready to install https://demo.tagdiv.com/select_demo/newspaper-prebuilt-websites/?demo-type=rtl which we recommend using. Without installing one of these demos, the RTL design will have to be created manually by adjusting the elements with the composer. Please let me know if you have more questions.

Is the theme compatible with Wordpress 6.9?

We haven’t found any issues between the theme and the latest wordpress version. But please note that there could be issues with other plugins, such as Woocommerce or Yoast if you use them. If there are updates available for plugins that you are using on the website, please update those as well.

Sorry t hear that. If there are major issues after updating the theme I suggest restoring a website backup. Backups should be done before updating a theme. Or in case you don’t have a website backup, you could try restoring the theme settings from the theme panel https://prnt.sc/7vmXfE7X__wq But if neither a website backup or a theme panel backup are available, then there’s no way to restore the settings, they have to be made again. If you don’t have a backup then there’s no way to restore the theme settings to how they were. Although it should take very little time to configure the theme panel to how it was, the Newsmag theme isn’t that complicated. How to show all posts on one single page in the category page?

The number of posts that is displayed initially in a category page is the number set in the wordpress reading settings here https://prnt.sc/cOQKGCs6nB-E If you set a very high number of posts there, that could make the page load slow. Usually 10 posts or a bit more are showed initially, and then there is pagination to see the rest https://prnt.sc/tOlHpyEdALto

Why don’t you make the Newsmag theme a little wider? Or add a new widget section in the left, as Newspaper has? I also have the Newspaper theme on another website, but there are people (as I am) that developed and optimized the Newsmag theme in a way that it’s hard and not willing to change the theme.

The Newsmag theme has a fixed width of 1021px. It was intended to have a magazine style and design. The grid/border layout it uses, and also the blocks, depend on that fixed width. Increasing the width with customization may not be so simple as the design could be broken. I am very sorry for the inconvenience, but we don’t have plans to redesign the Newsmag theme at this time.

All the vulnerabilities were fixed in the latest theme update. The confusion is related to the version of the composer, which should have been 5.4.2, but due to a mistake on our part the composer remained at version 5.4.1. So to make it clear, the plugins included with theme version 12.7.2 contain the fixes for respective vulnerabilities. The composer is still 5.4.1 but it contains the fixes. Please disregard the notifications as we will change the version of the composer in a new update very soon. The composer will then be 5.4.2.

There will be an update soon for both themes, it contains mostly fixes. The user review frontend system is available only for the Newspaper theme, which uses cloud templates https://forum.tagdiv.com/user-reviews/ The Newsmag theme uses standard templates and it doesn’t have any frontend submission capabilities. In this case if you use the Newsmag theme you could use a plugin for providing a user review system, there should be plugins for it.

What Ad system do you use? We use Better ads plugin now. Can you share some info about how the system works?

The theme provides ad spots in the theme panel, like this https://prnt.sc/g7_R3LB3S3uz You just have to enter the ad code there and the theme will load the ad. For pages or as a widget, you can also use the ad box https://prnt.sc/2nDKMlLA0Lp3 and select the ad spot you want to use from the theme panel. It’s a simple ad management system. Dedicated plugins will have many more options for displaying and controlling the ads. Such plugins usually work fine with the theme, if you want to use one. Yes, the ad panel in the theme is the same for both themes (Newsmag and Newspaper).
If you have a plugin like ad rotate, then yes, you can make the ads rotate and display randomly, our theme does not show these options.

While the themes are similar, there are still many differences. Creating a design that looks like Newsmag, with Newspaper, is possible. But it may take some work, it depends on which demo you would like to replicate. How would you like the website to look exactly?

The theme can be used on any wordpress website. It will however have little purpose since I see the respective website contains just 3 pages. But if maybe you plant to redesign it or expand it, then you can use the theme to do it, no problem.

Lockers from our plugin can set on regulars posts, pages, and custom post types. For custom post types you must activate it in the theme panel, for example https://prnt.sc/3ipxtdZrZ86G
The composer provides elements for building forms https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-frontend-submission-form/ You can create a page for example and add the submission elements you want. Hi, I’ve never really noticed this until now, but when on a category with a Category top posts style, each page clicked the posts in the Category top posts style remain there while the post lists are updated. Is there an option that can be enabled or change in the theme options to not let that happen or it doesn’t exist as of now.
