I may be mistaken, but when testing the demo I selected a user account and set a username. I then posted a comment on one of the directory listings. However, when I later wanted to change my name, I found that there was no way to do so in the settings. Is it therefore true that a user will always appear under their originally chosen one-word username?

Hi,

Username can’t be changed, you can change the display name however in account details

There is no such field for a display name. See your section my-account/edit-account in your demo. I cant see that option nowhere. Please instruct me where it is.

Site admin controls which fields display there, we didn’t add display name field in the demo. I have now added it and you can see it here: https://main.mylistingtheme.com/my-account/edit-account/

Will there be an update where the the blog post will be much faster, page speed/lighthouse for blog post is really slow/errors, also checked other sites, almost all newer wordpress themes have high speed for blog posts:

Hi,

How many blog posts do you have in your site?

I renewed support but the change isn’t showing on my account to submit a question so I’m submitting here.

Hi. I would like to order my advance search by Open Now, Nearby but still show other results after there are no more Open Now.

To recap, I would like results that show:

Nearby → Open → Closed → Farther

I’ve tried different order variations but always get a mix of Open and Close instead of Open listings first and then Closed listings. https://lamafiapr.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/Screenshot-12-01-2026-at-14.55.jpeg

Hi,

It’s not possible to have the custom order you want. Open/closed is available as a filter but it can’t be used under ‘Listings order’. To achieve your desired order it would require modifying the order by logic in the theme files.

Hello, good morning and happy 2026. I have a question: how do I display category filters and tags for products created in WooCommerce on the shop page? I’ve already gone to the theme tools section, shop page, and selected the shop sidebar, but it’s not showing up.

Hi,

1. Wp admin > pages > edit the shop page > change template to ‘Sidebar + content” or “Content + sidebar”

2. Theme tools > theme options > shop page > select the sidebar you want to use

3. Appearance > widget > add the filters you want to use in your selected sidebar

After latest update, my editor is not working anymore in listings, visual is empty, code is ok, if i create a text in visual and make it H2, it creates this when switching to code: qweqwe

I just updated my theme from 2.12 to 2.13 and the individual listing page layout just broke down and is displaying a critical WP error. I disabled the server caching, disabled all plugins, disabled all other things like custom css and tried in different browsers both logged in and logged out, issue still persists. Did something drastically change in 2.13? I had to revert back to 2.12 and everything is working as normal.

Also not sure why footer text has had the html formatting removed as I had the legal hyperlinks to terms of use and privacy etc in there as part of the design and having no alternative place to put those at the bottom of the page really is a poor choice. It looks like I’m going to stay on 2.12.

Hi,

Do you have any modifications in child-theme?

All Google Maps Links need a rel=”nofollow” Attribute.

For the SEO is not good, we have so many external Links and have no nofollow:

Example:

href="http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Bergkramerhof+Weg+1%2C+82515+M%C3%BCnsing%2C+Deutschland" target="_blank">Get Directions...

to:

href="http://maps.google.com/maps?daddr=Bergkramerhof+Weg+1%2C+82515+M%C3%BCnsing%2C+Deutschland" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Get Directions...

How can i edit this parts? Or can you add this default in the Theme?

Thanks

Hi,

You can modify this file in child-theme templates\single-listing\content-blocks\location\interactive-map.php and add the nofollow attribute on line 64

nice and thanks! Plz add the nofollow to all adress-external-links by default in the theme. thanks!

Hello! I’m considering purchasing your WordPress template for a directory site, and I have a few questions before I decide. First, is it possible to configure the template so that users can search for both accommodations and various services (like medical, legal, and so on) all on one site? Second, is there an option to filter listings by region, for example by cities or provinces? Finally, are there additional filters available for things like amenities—for instance, if someone wants to find pet-friendly housing or other specific criteria? I’d like to know if all this can be done within your template before making a purchase decision.

Hi,

1. Yes you can do that, you can create a different listing type for all your services

2. Yes, you can use the region taxonomy for this. You would need to add your regions manually in backend for this. You can also use the location search filter which uses google maps / mapbox /osm

3. You can create custom taxonomies for this purpose, e.g. you create a custom taxonomy for amenities, add amenities in that taxonomy as terms. Then you use that taxonomy on add listing form when you create listings and as a filter on search form

Thank you!

Hello we update from version 2.69. to 2.13, almost everything was good except the locations are missing and maps therefore does not show anything. We actually found your guide and and executed as instructed , first running the options in the Performance tabs and it did not work, no errors, then we deleted those options in the database and still nothing. When we run the Migrate locations in the Performance tab, it says No Locations Found. the location table seems to have all the locations. We were wondering if you could provide any tips so we can fix it. We are aware that our support has expired but hopefully you can refer us to some guide somewhere. Thank you

Hi again, not sure if you were planning to give us some ideas and tips to try ourselves while our support have expired! . Just to let you know that we could find a solution. So no worries.

Hi,

Did you try using the snippet we provided here: https://docs.mylistingtheme.com/article/listing-locations-and-or-work-hours-not-working-post-update/

When you go to wp admin > listings, do you see the location of listings in the location column?

Hi, when updating a tag and assigning a listing type, it appears to now save the value as a string in the database after the recent update. This means that the tag isn’t showing up in the select box within the listing. I can’t raise a ticket as my support has expired, but have examples of the bug and database values should you need them to pinpoint the issue.

I tested this both on frontend and backend but wasn’t able to reproduce the issue. Is this happening just on explore or add listing frontend as well?

On the explore page. I just tested with the Places listing type. There is a ‘coupon’ tag. It showed on the explore page until I went into the backend, saved the tag, it then disappeared from the explore page. I have no modifications to the theme, apart from the snippet of code you provided earlier in this thread.

Hi, I left a support request on the 21st, I came here to leave a comment because I added some more questions then realised that probably pushed my request to the bottom of the queue. i assumed you were on Christmas and New Year break and that’s why you hadn’t answered, so patiently waited, but looking on here I see you have been answering questions. Please can you answer my support request. Thanks.

Hi,

We will reply all remaining tickets in the next 24 hours. Thank you for your patience

Hello, we are planning to purchase another license. We were wondering how the theme works with the FSE concept and the components ( 27 > xxx) you have can be used in the block editor?

The idea is that we prefer not to use the elementor as it is becoming bloated and the native WP block editor is fast and fully capable, so the question is can we use the components without the elementor and apply your components to the block editor ?

Thank you in advance for such great theme.

Hi,

You wouldn’t be able to use those widgets without elementor unfortunately

I dont know if it is normal but in edit listing from backend i dont see with new version the box for select the package previously created always from backend, how i can manually insert the package indide the listing in edit listing ?

Hi,

We have replied in your ticket

dear team, thank you for this beautiful theme before purchasing i have presale question, can we add the location in the search filter?

Hi,

Yes you can add location as a search filter. You can check it in our demo here: https://main.mylistingtheme.com/

Hi Team,

I’m using the MyListing theme and facing an issue with YouTube videos in listings.

When I add a YouTube URL to the listing video field, the video does not load on the frontend and shows “Error 153 – Video player configuration error.” The same video plays fine on YouTube but fails inside the MyListing video section.

Please add Stripe subscription, so we can convert old and expensive Woo-subscriptions. I would rather pay Stripe than use WooCommerce.

I wanted to close this year with sincere and heartfelt thanks to the 27collective team for creating this template. I hadn’t fully understood its flexibility and power. After five years of sacrifices my business has finally taken off with strong profits, and everything is changing. I tried other listing templates in the past, but I’ve always felt at home with MyListing, and there’s nothing I haven’t been able to achieve with a bit of customization. Over the years, every developer I’ve worked with already knew MyListing, and even those who didn’t were able to customize it extremely quickly. There are also many developers selling incredibly powerful plugins made specifically for MyListing. There are templates that aren’t just templates — they’re money-making war machines. And I’m sorry for the other themes, but MyListing was born a winner from the very beginning; when it was created, it must have been blessed in some way. There are only a few things that could be improved, nothing urgent, and in fact most of them don’t even exist in other themes. But adding them would be absolutely WOW for my business:

The ability to set a minimum number of images required (as well as a maximum) in the gallery.

Bulk management of listings in the admin area. For example, if I have 1,500 listings and I want to view only promoted ones, I can’t filter them. Same for featured. Or if I want to select all promoted listings and extend them by three weeks, I can’t do it. I also can’t filter listings expiring next week, or in two weeks, or only those that expired last week — which would be extremely useful to contact advertisers and promote a relisting. The same applies to user list columns: it would be very useful to have a column showing the listings assigned to each user and the packages they purchased.

File type control for uploads, ideally directly inside the listing-type image block. Right now you can only set MIME types on the “file upload” field.

Customization of the cover image size and position when a custom cover is set inside the individual listing.

Review permission management. For example, if I want to prevent advertisers from reviewing others, I can’t do it natively. Or if I want advertisers to only reply to reviews they receive, without reviewing themselves, that isn’t currently possible.

An Elementor widget that displays all reviews on the site, with filters by listing type — something visually appealing showing the listing logo, star rating, and the first few lines of the review.

The ability to choose which “action buttons” appear in the My Listings user frontend control panel (for example, hiding “Delete” without needing custom code).

Phone number field in registration: even if handled through WooCommerce, it would be great to require a phone number and set it as “unique”, preventing two users registering with the same number. Ideally, the phone number could automatically populate the phone field in listings — e.g., if a listing type is set to “use registration phone number”, the advertiser cannot input a different number in that field (with the number still editable in account settings).

Explore Map SEO behavior. It’s excellent, but there’s currently no text under listings. If I create regions and click “Rome”, the page isn’t SEO-friendly: there’s no H1, and although text is visible on desktop, it disappears on mobile — so on mobile Explore Map isn’t SEO-suitable. To solve this, I had to exclude Explore Map from Google via robots.txt and create Elementor pages for each city. Another issue: the Explore Map URL becomes pretty only for one field. For example: yoursite.com/explore-map/rome But if I also filter by listing type “car”, it doesn’t become: yoursite.com/explore-map/rome/car It would be ideal if the pretty URL combined region plus one taxonomy or listing type for better structured URLs.

There should be resource-loading controls inside the theme options — e.g., disable Google Fonts, disable Font Awesome, or if OpenStreetMap is selected, disable Google Maps JS. A visual resource manager would be perfect.

There should be native control over listing social icons. You can add them via functions, but it’s complex to handle icons. For example, adding Linktree requires coding and manually loading the icon via child theme and CSS. I want to stress that all these things can be solved with a few days of work on functions and the child theme, and once implemented they can be reused across projects. Still, it would be wonderful for me to have them already integrated.

Many people request subscription features, but in my opinion they aren’t essential, because the WooCommerce Subscriptions plugin is excellent. Even though it’s quite expensive, it works very well and is perfectly integrated with MyListing. I think it would be more interesting to implement a bump-up system instead. For example, creating a “bump-up” product type that automatically pushes a listing back to the top, either on a schedule or when the user clicks an action button inside their listings panel. Or, using the existing packages, add a “number of bump-ups” field — for example setting it to 5 — and letting the user choose whether they should be automatic every X days, or manual, based on the package settings. Another interesting feature would be a credit system, meaning users purchase packages that convert into credits which can then be spent on different functions. For example, buying a 1-month package might cost 20 credits, and so on. However, this would be quite a large development and not easily implemented.

Hi,

Thank your for your message, there are some nice ideas there. We will look at them. Also a new update will be released within a few hours, we have sent it for approval.

Hi, does this theme paid listing recurs subscription packages automatically?
