Hello, I have a question regarding a job agency’s registration for submitting jobs. Can one user post multiple jobs under different employer names? Thank you,
Yes it can
Hi
can the theme doing the auto apply for the jobs or NOT?
could you please elaborate more about that,
I mean the theme auto apply my CV to the available jobs in Linkedin for example Hello,
I have a question about the job theme you provide. Does the theme allow visitors to upload their CV, and then the website automatically apply for available jobs on platforms like LinkedIn on their behalf?
For example, can the system automatically submit applications to around 30 jobs per day for the user without requiring any manual action from them?
I would appreciate it if you could clarify whether this feature is supported or possible with the theme.
Thank you.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in the Careerfy theme.
The theme allows users to create profiles, upload their CV/resume, and apply for jobs directly on the website that uses the theme. It is designed to manage job listings and applications within the site itself.
However, the theme does not support automatically submitting job applications to external platforms such as LinkedIn or applying to multiple external jobs automatically on behalf of the user. This type of automation is not included in the theme’s features.
If you need such functionality, it would likely require a custom integration or a specialized third-party automation tool, as it goes beyond the standard capabilities of a WordPress job board theme.
Please let us know if you have any other questions—we’ll be happy to help.

Hello Support Team,
I would like to ask why the activation code emails are being delivered to spam folders. Several candidates have informed me that they cannot find the activation code in their inbox, and later discover it in their spam folder.
Could you please advise how we can configure the system or email settings to ensure that activation codes are delivered directly to the inbox instead of being marked as spam?
Thank you for your assistance.
Why Activation Emails Go to Spam in WordPress
If activation emails are going to spam, it is usually because:
- SPF, DKIM, or DMARC are not properly configured
- WordPress is using the default PHP mail() function
- The domain has low sender reputation
- Email authentication is missing or failing
Step 1: Check Email Authentication in Gmail
- Open the activation email in Gmail
- Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner
- Click Show Original
- Check the results for:
- SPF: PASS
- DKIM: PASS
- DMARC: PASS
If any of them show FAIL, DNS records must be configured correctly.
Step 2: Verify DNS Records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Login to your domain hosting provider (where DNS is managed) and check the following:
SPF Record
- Type: TXT
- Name: @
- Value example (Google Workspace):
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
- Value example (Hosting SMTP):
v=spf1 include:mail.yourdomain.com ~all
DKIM Record
- Type: TXT
- Name: default._domainkey
- Value: Provided by your email provider (Google, SendGrid, etc.)
DMARC Record
- Type: TXT
- Name: _dmarc
- Value:
v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:admin@yourdomain.com;
After testing, you may change policy to:
v=DMARC1; p=quarantine; rua=mailto:admin@yourdomain.com;
or
v=DMARC1; p=reject; rua=mailto:admin@yourdomain.com;
Step 3: Install SMTP Plugin in WordPress (Required)
WordPress should NOT use PHP mail(). You must use authenticated SMTP.
- Login to WordPress Admin
- Go to Plugins → Add New
- Search for WP Mail SMTP
- Click Install
- Click Activate
Step 4: Configure WP Mail SMTP
Option A: Using Hosting SMTP
- Mailer: Other SMTP
- SMTP Host: mail.yourdomain.com
- Encryption: TLS
- SMTP Port: 587
- Authentication: Yes
- SMTP Username: full email address
- SMTP Password: email account password
Click Save Settings and send a Test Email.
Option B: Using Gmail (Recommended)
- Select Google / Gmail as Mailer
- Create a project in Google Cloud Console
- Enable Gmail API
- Create OAuth Credentials
- Copy Client ID and Client Secret
- Paste into WP Mail SMTP settings
- Authorize your Google account
- Send Test Email
Step 5: Use Professional Email Service (Best Practice)
For better email delivery, use:
- SendGrid
- Mailgun
- Amazon SES
- Google Workspace
These services improve:
- Inbox placement
- Sender reputation
- Email authentication
Final Checklist
- SPF record added
- DKIM record added
- DMARC record added
- SMTP plugin installed
- Test email successful
- SPF, DKIM, DMARC show PASS in Gmail
Important: Always use a domain-based email address (example: no-reply@yourdomain.com). Do not use free Gmail as the “From” address when sending from your server.
Will Woocommerce version 10.3 break anything in Careerfy?
Please delete the WooCommerce plugin and reinstall it. The current update appears to have an issue with the WooCommerce plugin itself, not with the Careerfy theme.
You can log in to your hosting control panel, remove the WooCommerce plugin completely, and then perform a fresh installation. This should resolve the issue.
Your theme (Careerfy) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:
Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version. If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.
This is just an FYI NOT A SUPPORT REQUEST:
careerfy/woocommerce/single-product/product-image.php version 9.7.0 is out of date. The core version is 10.5.0,
Hello,
Thank you for your message.
As mentioned previously, this is only a system notice from WooCommerce and not a critical bug. It does not necessarily indicate a malfunction, but rather that the template file version differs from the current WooCommerce core version.
Please note that technical assistance, file updates, compatibility adjustments, or custom modifications are provided only to customers with an active support license. Since your support period has expired, we are unable to provide further assistance on this matter.
If you would like us to review and update the theme files for full compatibility with the current WooCommerce version, please renew your support, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE: 23rd January 2026 Version 10.3.0 & Jobsearch Plugin Version 3.2.2: After this update ALL CANDIDATE UPLOADS have gone missing! Did anyone else ‘test’ this update before pushing it through?
In wp-admin → Candidates list, the plugin outputs candidate photos as
(numeric attachment ID) instead of resolving the URL via wp_get_attachment_image_url().
This causes broken images and removes “Open image in new tab”.
Reproducible immediately after latest update.
Please fix admin list table image rendering.
This is a known class of bug.
While this exact line is not yet reported publicly:
> Careerfy / WP Jobsearch has a history of image-handling regressions
> Admin list tables are custom code, not WordPress core
> This kind of attachment-ID vs URL regression typically appears after refactors
You have hard proof now — not speculation.
Thank you for your report.
This behavior is intentional and not a regression.
In the admin candidates list, the plugin stores and renders candidate images using
attachment IDs via a custom handler, rather than resolving public URLs
with wp_get_attachment_image_url(). This design exists for
privacy, security, and compliance reasons.
Candidate profiles often include personally identifiable information (PII) such as photos and CV documents. If these assets are stored and exposed through the WordPress Media Library, they become publicly accessible, indexable, and potentially discoverable by search engines or third parties. This directly conflicts with GDPR and data-privacy requirements.
For this reason:
- Candidate images and files are not exposed as public media URLs
- They are not indexed or browsable
- Access is intentionally restricted and handled internally
- “Open image in new tab” is therefore disabled by design
Admin list tables in this plugin are custom implementations, not WordPress core components, and do not rely on default media rendering logic.
We understand the UX difference compared to core WordPress behavior, but in this case privacy takes precedence over convenience. There is no bug to fix here.
If you require a custom implementation that exposes media URLs publicly, that would need to be handled via a custom modification, and it is not something we can enable by default without violating privacy standards.
Thanks for your understanding.

Hi,
does your theme offer a way to restrict viewing jobs only to paid subscribers, or you have to buy additional plugins.
Which plugin would be able to integrate with your theme to allow this feature, only allow paid subscribers to browse jobs and view job listing details.
thanks
candidates need to pay for package to apply jobs so can restrict for apply to jobs only to paid subscribers, no need to buy additional plugins.
WOOCOMMERCE: Hello Team, it seems like the JobSearch plugin is creating these fields in WC https://snipboard.io/cK0ajo.jpg. Just wanted to bring to your attention. Is this a bug?
More specifically it is the JobSearch Resume Export which is creating this issue.

Hi,
I have got some presales questions:
1. Does the theme allow to customize the candidate and employer registration forms? 2. Can admin approve / reject candidate/employer registrations? 3. Does the theme support login with mobile number and OTP? If not, would you be able to guide? 4. If answer to any of the above questions is no can we use another plugin for login or registration? Will there be any constrains or limitations from the theme? 5. Does the theme allow to customize job application form? 6. We need to send the candidates data, job applications data etc. to our CRM (using APIs). Does the theme provide any hooks to use in the child theme for this purpose? 7. Can there be custom job application statuses (other than Shortlist / Reject) like Interview Scheduled, Contacted etc?
I’ll appreciate your earliest response to the above queries.
Thanks, Rajeev
Hi Rajeev,
Thank you for your questions. Please find the detailed clarifications below:
-
Question: Does the theme allow customizing the candidate and employer registration forms?
Answer: Yes, you can add custom fields to both the candidate and employer registration forms. -
Question: Can the admin approve or reject candidate/employer registrations?
Answer: Yes, the admin has full control to approve or reject registrations. -
Question: Does the theme support login with mobile number and OTP?
Answer: The theme supports OTP verification only during registration using Google Firebase.
Login via mobile number + OTP is not available. The current login methods are username or email only. For mobile OTP login, custom development would be required. -
Question: Can we use another plugin for login or registration? Will there be limitations?
Answer:
– You may use any third-party plugin for login only.
– For registration (Employer or Candidate), you must use our built-in registration forms.
– Design customization is limited to the layouts provided by the theme. For advanced visual changes, you would need a developer or child theme customization. -
Question: Does the theme allow customizing the job application form?
Answer: Yes, you can add custom fields to the job application form. -
Question: Can we send candidate data, job application data, etc. to our CRM via API? Are hooks available?
Answer: The theme does not provide built-in hooks for CRM integration.
Custom development is required to send data to your CRM. Our team can assist with this integration if needed. -
Question: Can we add custom job application statuses (e.g., Interview Scheduled, Contacted)?
Answer: No, job application statuses are fixed (e.g., Shortlisted, Rejected). Custom statuses are not supported.
If you need custom development such as OTP login, CRM integration, or design modifications, our team is available to help.
Best regards,
Alan
Thank you Alan for your detailed response to each query. Appreciate it!
you welcome
THIS IS JUST FOR YOUR INFO, YOU’RE WELCOME:
The plugin is attempting to perform subtraction (-) between a string value and an integer value.
PHP 8+ throws a fatal error for this because PHP no longer silently converts strings to numbers unless they are strictly numeric.
The fatal error: Unsupported operand types: string – int (wp-jobsearch/includes/common-functions/employer-functions.php)
Why this happens frequently in WP JobSearch
WP JobSearch & Careerfy have a known pattern of:
> Storing mixed types in meta fields > Not validating or sanitizing meta before arithmetic > Not handling “unlimited” or empty values safely > Breaking under PHP 8 strict type enforcement
This is not caused by your server, Cloudflare, Hostinger, or NGINX. It is a plugin logic flaw combined with bad meta data.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FROM CHATGPT:
Patch code to prevent crashes (recommended long-term)
Around line 2939 the plugin likely has:
$remaining = $total_jobs – $used_jobs;
This should be wrapped safely:
$total_jobs = intval($total_jobs); $used_jobs = intval($used_jobs); $remaining = $total_jobs – $used_jobs;
This prevents future crashes even if meta becomes corrupted.

Hi, Hope you are doing great! I’m glad to hear that you were able to identify and temporarily fix the issue using ChatGPT. However, we will not be able to implement the changes you suggested. ChatGPT does not have access to the complete plugin architecture, and it is not capable of fully understanding or modifying a complex job board framework like WP JobSearch.
Regarding the points you mentioned, we can confirm that the described issue does not exist in our system. The plugin is fully compatible with the latest PHP versions, and any such behaviour would not be caused by the core code of WP JobSearch.
If you still experience the problem on your website, it is most likely due to corrupted or modified meta values, third-party customizations, or external code interfering with job package data. In such cases, we recommend checking for:
Any custom code added to the theme or child theme
Third-party plugins modifying employer or package meta
Old or manually edited database values
We will be happy to review this further if you can provide exact steps to reproduce the issue on a clean installation. Thank you for the sincere reply, since you are one of the leading job-board platforms, I wanted to bring this to your attention. One observation we made during our troubleshooting that I would like to share with you is that the value of one of our packages had changed from 0 (zero) to o (letter O). This only effected one package for some reasons. How did that happen, is a mystery.
