TITLE: PAGE EDITOR NOT WORKING BECAUSE OF AVADA BUILDER.

I manually migrated my website from edaa.org to l4s.883.mytemp.website. The website frontend is working perfectly fine on the temporary domain (l4s.883.mytemp.website)

However, when I try to open the page editor, I get a “Page Not Found” (404 error).

I have already checked everything:

- Updated all links in the database - Reviewed the .htaccess file - Cleared cache - Verified other possible settings

But the issue still persists.

Interestingly, when I deactivate the Avada Builder plugin, the page editor opens normally and wordpress default editor opens. However, the website design obviously breaks in that case.

My main concern is: Why is the page editor not opening on the temporary domain (l4s.883.mytemp.website) when the Avada Builder is active, while everything works fine on the live domain (edaa.org)?

I have also:

Unregistered the Avada license from edaa.org Registered it again on the temporary domain

Despite checking almost everything, the issue remains. Whenever I activate the Avada Builder plugin, the page editor does not open for any page.

If anyone knows how to resolve this issue, please let me know.

Thanks!

Hello @jjpragency

This is surely not an issue that can be replicated on our end, from what you have mentioned in the email, this seems like an issue due to some other website’s own settings or resources.

Our team will need to take a closer look into this and will require you to open a support ticket.

As the Themeforest comments section is meant only for pre-sale questions and generalities, we are not able to provide detailed support here. Please create a support ticket using the link below and our support team will gladly assist and guide

If i open a support ticket then will your team resolve my website issue by logging into the wordpress dashboard?

Hello There

That maybe a requirement depending on what the issue is, our team can log into your dashboard and troubleshoot this further :)

Thanks

Howdy!

Not sure when this issue started (i.e., Avada version number), but the ToTop button (function) does not work on tablets (e.g., iPads). It does work on desktops.

When I click the ToTop button, the screen does not scroll. I disabled ALL plugins, except Avada and cleared cache. Still doesn’t work. Can you please look into this and confirm?

Fix (patch) appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey Ammar,

May I ask: What devices did you use to test the issue I reported? I can confirm with 100% certainty (with all plugins disabled except Avada’s) this issue is present.

Can you kindly ask three other Avada team members to check this?

Thank you!

Hello There

I checked this on browserstack myself, which specific iPad model did you check this on?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I encourage you to use a REAL device or devices. iPhones and iPads have native functions that cannot be replicated by BrowserStack. At our end, we use iPad Pro. Again, in Avada, set the ToTop settting to Desktop mode only; you will then see the ToTop icon on iPads and Desktops, but the screen will not scroll on iPads when you click the ToTop icon.

Is there an issue with Events Calendar plugin and Avada Builder plugin? When I deactivate the builder, the calendar displays as expected.

Hello @Charlimmtc

There is no issue between both plugin(s) however from what you have explained it could be that you have assigned a layout to events archive pages which might be resulting in this issue.

I will recommend you checking your layouts and making sure that the events archives are not set to any of your layouts.

If you still need assistance with this, kindly open a support ticket and our team should follow up.

I am using the latest version of Avada and following all recommended setup steps, I’ve been unable to resolve a critical issue for days.

The Avada Builder consistently breaks core WordPress functionality — I couldn’t create posts or add products while it was active. As soon as I disabled it, everything started working normally, which clearly points to a serious conflict or bug within the builder itself.

I’ve tried everything:

Resetting permalinks Clearing caches Increasing memory limits Changing PHP versions Disabling all plugins

Nothing fixed the issue while Avada Builder was enabled.

For a premium theme of this level, this kind of instability is very disappointing. Losing days trying to fix something that should just work is not acceptable.

I really hope the developers address this soon, because right now it’s not reliable enough for production use.

Hello @ademin

That is surely not an issue with Avada and you should be able to create your posts or products without any issues, this will require our team to take a closer look into your website to see what might be causing this.

Our team will gladly assist you with this, kindly open a support ticket with your website details and this should be resolved.

Been promoting Avada for years, just getting tired of it now. I’m providing useful sales feedback as sales advice for future purchasers – people like me who are tired of waiting forever for the basics to be included. So we aren’t wasting time with glaringly obvious missing element controls constantly preventing us from achieving what should be simple designs and functionalities. Your dynamic Button url CANNOT BE UNABLE TO HANDLE A DYNAMIC MAILTO LINK!!! Just Fix it so I dont constantly have to write code snippets, just to have basic functionality!

Hello There

We appreciate the feedback, not all ACF fields are supported by Avada at the moment, the ones that you can use are listed here => https://avada.com/documentation/how-to-use-acf-pro-with-avada/#toc_supported_ACF_field_types

however, you should be able to get this done using the text field and then using the before and after field in the ACF text field to create your mailto link => https://cln.sh/1X3SN4Q7

We are facing an issue updating Avada (Avada Builder and Avada Core). The update fails with the following message:

“Failed to download. Unknown error encountered. Please try again later.”

Our license is valid and the theme is properly registered. Previous updates worked without issues, and there were no recent changes on our server.

Before renewing support, we would like to confirm:

Is there any known issue on your side affecting updates? Have there been recent changes to the update system or download endpoints?

We want to ensure this is not an internal issue before proceeding with support renewal.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi

Currently we have no reported issues for updates. Users are able to download/update from the WP admin area without issues.

I would suggest that you please take a look at the manual method of updating the site, https://avada.com/documentation/how-to-update-the-avada-website-builder/#toc_Method_2_Update_Manually_via_FTP

You can also create a staging URL as per the whitelisted URL format and test the update process on the staging site, https://avada.com/documentation/avada-registration-and-licensing-faq/#collapse-1-864011

Why are there no device specific options for Sticky Container Offset on containers.

This would be the very first container that should receive usable responsive design control? A sticky offset it primarily set by a headers height, which is always different on different devices, yet in Avada one cannot set a different offset!!!!

Head in hands!!

Hi

You can offset a container not just by a specific value but even using a class name. You can use the header CSS class name and use that to give the offset value

Alternatively, you can add different container for mobile and desktop mode and using conditional rendering to only load the container on specific device. You can then add different offset for different container (specific to the device)

Hello @Darcosolutions

Thank you for your feedback.

Getting this error after update: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () Please help me to resolve this!

Hi

A 403 error means permission is being denied. This generally happens due to a security plugin or host security setup. We would request you to please backup the site and disable security plugins and make a check or get in touch with your host to check for security measures added

Hi Team, I have checked with the Host and diabled all plug ins, it is happening for Pages with TOC (table of content)??

Error: /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 ()

Hi

This would still be a security block. Avada has no blocks added in it to causes a 403 for admin-ajax. We would request you to please check your plugins and check with the host once again

Not good responsive theme. Very basic. There are a massive amount of missing responsive controls, the basics, such as for example, you cannot set a button width to span only on mobile. If you set span on mobile, it will apply to all screens. So bad!!!

Hi

Avada does have several responsive options that can be seen in detail here, https://avada.com/documentation/category/responsive-design/ You can always add the button in nested column, span it to the nested column width and adjust the width of the column for different devices

My point isn’t specific to one element. Avada is missing a VERY LARGE AMOUNT of the basic responsive settings that should have been available out-of-the-gates – but so many years after you first implemented device control, is just not cool.

We understand some omissions after a first release or two, and support you because we expected the obvious major gaps will be deployed timeously.

I cannot begin to understand why there wouldn’t be something as simple as button span / not span per device. Why on earth would we have a button that spans on desktop? 99% of the time it only makes sense to span a button on mobile. Same as large, small.. etc button sizes. Isn’t the button size very likely to be best served at different sizes on different devices?

Sure, nested columns can solve some things – but please don’t get me started on how much more usefully nested columns could work!

I mention these missing button settings as general examples for the LARGE AMOUNT of the basic responsive setting omissions, I don’t need a specific alternative solution to this, my message is finish the device specific dev already, so we can build better sites that elementor!!!

hello please i need your help, i have had my avada theme for a while and havent used it. i tried to use my purchase code now and its saying The purchase code is already being used on another domain. and i dont have another domain using it. even on my avada support account i cant register the purchase code. can you help with this issue please. thanks

Hello @Glamon

The purchase code maybe registered multiple times so that’s why its registration is limited. Please reset / unregister the purchase code from your support account -> Licenses – My Avada  You must be logged into your account to see that page.

Do not remove the purchase code from there but click the blue color Link Icon. Now try to register purchase code on your actual website and see if that works?

If you need further assistance with this, kindly open a support ticket and our team should follow up.

I want to buy your template, but I have a question about the site loading speed report. Diagnose performance issues. In mobil: 81 – performance. In desktop: 85 – SEO, 87 – accessibility. Is there any way I can at least improve those metrics to 90? https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-avada-website-avada-builder/vj6efso8ep?form_factor=mobile

Hello @aeceul

The prebuilt websites are not built to show the speed or performance that one can achieve with Avada, the purpose is to show the variability of the product and kind of designs or layouts you can achieve with them, performance is something that Avada gives immense attention on and you can surely get amazing pagespeed scores with Avada following our guidelines in document post here => https://avada.com/documentation/avada-speed-performance/

We will be happy for you to be a part of this Amazing community :)

Hello there, I have a licence that I can access on themeforest, but when I try to import it to my.avada it says there has been an error adding this licence. I’ve tried with importing from Envato, and pasting purchase code from my invoice – nothing works. I also cannot submit support ticket on my.avada.

Hello Team,

We want to create a Post Category Collection Slider and display it on the homepage of our website.

However, we are unable to find any relevant element in Avada Builder / Avada Elements that allows us to create a slider specifically for post categories or category-based post collections.

Could you please guide us on:

1. Which Avada element should be used to create a category-based post slider? 2. Where can we find this option in Avada Builder or Avada Elements? 3. How can we filter posts by specific categories and display them in a slider/carousel format on the homepage?

If this requires using Post Cards, Blog Element, or any specific Avada feature, please share the recommended method or documentation.

Thank you.

Hi

There is no option in Avada to create a collection of sliders based on category and then filter it. Doing this will need custom code

You can create a slider for a specific category using the postcard element but this will not have multiple sliders that can be filtered based on taxonomy terms

hi guys, i do have a license from my original purchase, but i’m working on migrating my site now. can i activate this license temporarily on a new staging site without causing the old site to break? thank you

Hello @Fromm

Surely you can, however once the site is migrated and ready to go live, you will need to remove the license from older site as one license can only be used on a single website.

If you need further assistance with this, kindly open a support ticket and our team will get back to you further.

Good morning, I’m interested in purchasing Avada and using the All Courses – Avada Online School template. However, I have a requirement and wanted to know if it’s possible before purchasing: In the avada.website/online-school/all-courses/ section, I need to indicate that the courses are free. I don’t need it to appear as if they are free; I simply need my users to be able to view the classes and access them as if they were attending a free course. In other words, I need to remove the purchase option from the courses. Is this possible? Thank you. I hope you can respond as soon as possible.

Hi

Avada does not have a native feature where users can record course progress You could in some sense use a multistep form that shows progress as the users move to the next step but it has not membership features where user progress is recorded and course completion details are shared (unless custom coded)

Thank you

OK thanks for the reply.

You are most welcome :)

I need support, I have purchased an extension for support but my account still says support expired… Please advise. Thank you

Hello @ricrucial

You will need to apply the extension in this case, more about this can be read in our documentation here => https://avada.com/documentation/extending-and-renewing-avada-support/#toc_How_To_Apply_A_Support_Extension

This should help you out.

Thank you for the prompt response!

You are most welcome :)

I have a general question that I couldn’t find a direct answer to within Avada Help Support.

I’m currently developing a site, with a valid Avada license of course, on another server/domain because the current site, authored in Wix, is on the Wix server with no WordPress hosting. My question: What should I do when the new site is migrated over to current site’s domain? The staging site is not a subdomain, and obviously not on the same server, so I’m assuming that Avada registration will then show an error message that another domain is using the registration.

Once the WordPress install is deleted off the staging server, will this solve the registration situation? I’ve never been in this particular situation before; usually I use a /dev folder or a subdomain on the same server to stage an already extant website. Is this something that I would need to file a ticket for?

Hi

Once you move to a live site/server, you can unregister the domain against your purchase code from my.avada.com. (using the unlink icon in the licenses area). Once done, the purchase code can be used again. For staging sites, we request you to follow the whitelisted domain format, https://avada.com/documentation/avada-registration-and-licensing-faq/#collapse-1-864011
It doesnt need to be.a subdomain always
