I am using version 3.2.28 of the Essentials theme and am experiencing a very specific saving issue. While the Elementor edits I make on the page are saved to the database without any problems, custom fields (meta data) such as the theme-specific “Page Options” (e.g., hiding the header/footer) and “Highlights” in Portfolio items are not being saved at all.
When I click the “Update” button, the page refreshes successfully, but all the information I entered is deleted and reverts to the default settings.

Hi ! We found a bug with your theme regarding cache. When we activate the cache on our website (Nginx cache as usual), all headers with WPML plugin are not translated… When we deactivates the cache, all is OK.
So seems like there is a problem with the theme and the cache (and caching is really important for a website).
Could you please see for that and fix this in the next release ?

Thanks for your reply, but this is not a “support question”. It’s for us a bug with the theme and theme headers with the nginx cache. Normaly it has to be OK with your theme when we activate just the nginx cache… But there is something that is not OK in the theme : translations are not working after that. So could you please check this and fix it in a new version ? Best regards !

We did again a test on our side (Nginx web server as normal, and Nginx Cache activated with the Nginx Helper plugin as usual) : we confirm that your headers stay in the same langage after that (only french). Nb : we have WPML and headers included on your theme in english. All is OK, but with cache activated it is not working… When we deactivate it, all is OK

I have the same issue on two domains for which I purchased licenses and you. Furthermore, the process of deactivating a domain for a license and activating it on another domain doesn’t work. Hello, I purchased 4 licences from you, I deactivated one licence but it still shown in the Pixfort hub that “License is already used”, even though the licence is deactivated from the website, because i want to transfer it to another website. it’s urgent please and the support is expired. Hi there ! We don’t succeed to translate with WPML the Header of our website. It always us the french header. It seems like there is an issue with the theme regarding the element Builder > Header.
Do we have something to add in order to make it works ?
Just to add : on WPML settings, pixheaders are OK (traductable). But it is not working (only the Menu is OK, not the links and buttons)
We found the issue : your header is not compatible with cache (nginx). When the cache is activated, no translations for your headers. Could you please see for that (as cache is very important) ? Thanks !

First of all, congratulations: Essentials is, in my opinion, the best theme on ThemeForest. It delivers outstanding visual quality, a strong design identity, and a very modern user experience. It clearly stands out from most premium themes.
After using it extensively in an editorial project, I would like to share a few improvement suggestions that could make your theme even more exceptional:
1. Portfolio presentation The article layouts are stunning, but the portfolio layouts feel less polished. Having portfolio templates as rich and visually refined as the article layouts would be a major enhancement.
2. Single post layouts At the moment, there is only one single‑post template. Offering multiple article layouts (magazine, minimalist, immersive, full‑width image, etc.) would be extremely valuable for editorial websites.
3. Blog widgets The current blog widgets are quite limited:
only one style
few variations
limited display control
no styling options for widget titles
More widget variations (popular posts, featured posts, alternative layouts…) would be very welcome.
4. Social buttons and widgets It would be fantastic to have:
more customization options for social buttons,
the ability to display them full‑width, as standalone sections, or in sidebars via widgets,
and especially social buttons connected to real follower counts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
This is a highly requested feature and would add great value to modern homepages.
Thank you again for your outstanding work. Essentials is already a remarkable theme; with these improvements, it could easily become unbeatable.

Final Message in English (Envato‑ready) Subject: Need assistance – Pagination issue inside tabs (Essential Theme)
Hello,
I hope you are doing well. I’m contacting you because I’m facing a persistent issue with the pagination in the Essential theme when it is used inside a tab system. I want to say first that my project is progressing very well and I truly appreciate the quality and elegance of the Essential theme. This is exactly why I’m reaching out for your help.
Initial context At first, I was using a third‑party plugin (Elegant Tabs) to display several categories of posts inside tabs on the same page. Each tab contains an Essential cards layout with the theme’s native pagination.
The issue: When I click on a pagination number inside a tab, the page reloads but always returns to the first tab.
What I have already tried With the help of a technical assistant, we tried many approaches:
creating a custom JS file to automatically append the correct anchor for the active tab
creating a small PHP snippet to load this script properly
using MutationObserver to reapply the anchor after the DOM is rewritten
trying to disable AJAX via JavaScript (stopImmediatePropagation, etc.)
adding PHP filters (pix_ajax_pagination, pix_ajax_enabled, etc.) to disable AJAX
checking all theme options (no visible setting to enable/disable AJAX pagination)
Unfortunately, none of these attempts solved the issue.
Advanced testing To isolate the problem completely, I then:
disabled Elegant Tabs
removed all custom scripts
used only the native Essential tabs
used only the Essential cards layout
tested on a fresh page
cleared all caches
And I discovered something very important:
Pagination works perfectly when it is placed outside of any tabs.
But as soon as the pagination is inside a tab (even a native Essential tab), the issue appears.In this situation:
clicking a pagination number scrolls the page automatically to the bottom (footer)
or resets the active tab
or prevents normal navigation
or loads the wrong content
This happens even with no third‑party plugins, no custom code, and a 100% Essential setup.
Conclusion It seems that the Essential theme’s AJAX pagination:
intercepts the click
reloads the posts via AJAX
triggers an automatic scroll
but since the container is hidden inside a tab, the scroll lands on the footer
and the active tab is reset
This suggests that AJAX pagination is not compatible with content placed inside tabs (even native ones).
My request I would be extremely grateful if you could let me know:
how to properly disable AJAX pagination in the Essential theme, or
how to use a non‑AJAX pagination that works inside tabs, or
how to prevent the automatic scroll triggered by the theme.
And if possible, I kindly request your direct intervention on my website to help me resolve this issue, as I have already spent a lot of time trying to fix it and I would love to move forward smoothly.

I can say without hesitation that yours is the best template on the entire platform. Essentials is a true reference: elegant, modern, stable, brilliantly designed — and above all, it continues to give WPBakery its full power, flexibility, and creative potential. Thanks to you, WPBakery remains a real gem for building professional pages.
I value your theme so much that I just purchased a second license — something I had never done since joining Envato. Version 4 is beautiful, and the level of quality you deliver is remarkable.
After more than three months of real‑world use, I’ve had time to identify a few improvements that would make Essentials absolutely perfect. I share them with great respect.
1) Improve the Blog section – Article layouts (editorial / magazine style) This concerns article layouts only, not widgets.
The Blog section would be even more powerful with true magazine‑style layouts, such as:
– a full‑width image banner at the top, like modern online magazines, – “featured” models with a large image and overlaid title, – editorial hero sections (one large card on top, followed by a grid), – premium magazine‑inspired layouts with large image, structured title, subtitle, and intro text.
These additions would allow the creation of professional, modern editorial pages.
2) Improve the Blog Widgets – Presentation, customization, variety Independently from article layouts, the Blog Widgets could be enriched with:
– left/right thumbnail + excerpt layouts, – full‑width or compact editorial cards, – more customizable excerpts (length, style, typography), – multiple image ratios (16:9, 4:3, square, vertical), – a more advanced Tabs mode (Featured / Popular / Commented), – a “Featured article” widget with a large image + secondary thumbnails, – different widget title styles, – more customization options (colors, fonts, alignments).
This would bring real editorial richness to sidebars and widget areas.
3) Improve the Portfolio section – Add the same card models as the Blog The current Blog cards are truly beautiful. It would be fantastic to have the same card models available for the Portfolio, including:
– same visual styles, – same layout options, – same presentation variations, – same image ratios.
This would allow full visual consistency between Blog and Portfolio.
4) Equal‑height cards – Blog + Portfolio An automatic equal‑height option for cards would be extremely useful for both Blog and Portfolio, to achieve perfectly aligned and harmonious grids.
Your theme is extraordinary, and I sincerely thank you for your work. If these improvements are added, I would gladly purchase additional licenses — Essentials is a true reference, and you are doing an exceptional job.
