Hi, I ‘d like to ask something.
1- I couldnt have time to search about it, but i want to know if my data going to change if i drag and drop (replace) the updated 3 folders? 2- I couldnt find the icons of the top menu (home,wish list, account etc..) I would like to have them on my theme, dunno how to set. 3- E-mail notifications have your footer copyright info, even though i’ve changed by your main theme module + admin/controller/common/footer.php + catalogue/controller/common/footer.php , couldnt find what a setting else to modify this issue. Thanks You!
Hi,
1. Your data won’t change, just drag the 3 folders over replacing any existing Journal files. Make sure you download the latest version.
2.The icons path may need a refresh. They are in image/data/journal/ Just click on the icon field in your Custom Menus tab to refresh the path.
3. Store information is in System/Settings/General and /Store. Also check Control Panel/Footer/Custom Text. There’s no need to modify core files for this, it’s coming in from the admin.
Please file a support ticket so we can have a look at your installation in case you need more assistance.

I think i will do it by tomorrow, bc i have no custom menu in main theme module. When i creat one, all the previous menus disappears, but anyway, i will create new custom menus. But before doing it, i need my SEO fixed. My host company made a great support also, but there are still problem with SEO URL, i need to work on it. Thank you.

Hello, going to buy, currently testing on your demo.
1. Bugreport Please check and correct ASAP. In latest Opera (Ver.:12.15 Build:1748) top category menu does not work. It’s impossible to use top category menu. Tested on 3 different machines. For example: After mouse above top category, second layer category opens, but when you wish to click on it and move the mouse to it, second layer category disappear (as soon as you reach banner border) and it works as your click on banner. Tested at Layout 2_3
2. Layout question Same Layout 2_3 Looks like YES, but want to confirm: Is it possible to turn the right column (with categories) ON? May be by changing the zoom way or whatsever? I need to switch right column with categories menu to be ON at all products pages.
3. Points question Same Layout 2_3 Looks like YES, but want to confirm: At the product page I can turn ON: points price, points get and tags? From menu or by EASY editing the file…
4. Language/currency flags question Same Layout 2_3 In the header – if I add MANY languages and Currency to the shop, how much icons will fit at one line? If I add more what will happen? It will add second line for icons below or ruine the whole design?
5. Left column layout question You say that you are working on left column layout. Can you tell us about the release time for this or other major difference theme upgrade? Not exact date, but at least say as you can: “next month” or “in summer” or “not in nearest 3 month”? I plan to modify your theme and want to know when I would receive an update that I will need to change everything again… Thank you

1. We’re checking on that right now, it’s an Opera bug, works fine on all others, we’ll let you know as soon as we’ve nailed it.
2. Yes, you can have the side column present on all pages.
3. You can have any options available in the OpenCart system, these aren’t theme related. I think this product has all options available.
4. If you have too many language flags you can turn it into a select dropdown. It involves some custom work at this point, but we’re considering implementing this as an option in our upcoming updates.
5. Left column is coming in version 1.4, should be up before the end of the month.

1. Apparently Opera can’t display nested divs within a parent li, if that element is styled as table-cell. It’s not ideal markup, but that’s how the OpenCart default menu is made. We have to use the table-cell styling in order to achieve the flexible menu design we went for. Anyway, we have implemented a fix for this now, please check it out again. Thanks.

Hi, you can install any language you want. This is default OpenCart functionality. Coincidentally our Journal III example has the Spanish language installed. Click on the flag icon in the header to activate it. Cheers!
I love this theme and just before i purchase would like to check if the the theme can be viewed as by desktop view on a mobile device?
Hi, yes, there’s an option in the Control Panel to turn off the responsive layout. We turned it off for the third preview. Check out Journal III on your mobile device, it wil display like on a desktop. Cheers!

Hi, sorry. So you’re referring to a button somewhere in the frontend that switches the views. That should be possible but it requires some custom work. It won’t be a simple refresh of the page, there are variables that need to be loaded in the session to account for such change. Is this what you’re asking? Thanks.

Any reason why on my top slider the left and right arrows are on the outside of the images and on your then hover over the image? Have I not set a dimension correctly somewhere?

Hey! I just bought magiczoomplus for opencart en for some reason it won’t show on the productpage. However I got it working on the category page…(jeuh!). I copied the custom css and js to the backend and it still doesn’t work. I’m relay hoping you could help me out!

The reason I like to change this is because I need to transfer 5000 fabrics and can’t upload new pictures (taken me weeks to do so). So thats why I need to custom the zoom window.

Hi, behing the slider there is a menu which shows some modules (new arrivals, featured, etc), is it possible that CATEGORY NAMES can be shown here? (instead of “new arrivals” for example, show “men” and when I clic here the products of this category shows below?
If this cannot be done trough the admin panel, do you think it will require some deep modifications to make it work? Id like to have this but i only have intermmediate skills on programming. Thanks for the answer.
Hi, unfortunately this is not possible right now. Those sections are customly created from the Control Panel. You can name them whatever you want and attach any products to each section but you have to do it manually. It will indeed require extensive work to make it pull the main categories automatically. Hi, I think we’re referring to different things. Go to System/Settings/Option and turn off Category Product Count. Is this what you’re looking for?

Just a suggestion, but “add to cart” is always a nice feature on opencart instead of the scroll up it does as standard. Maybe this is already one of the added extras

By default Opencart when an item is added to the cart the page scrolls up and a line appears to say product has been added. The is an “add to cart” mod so when something is added a small box opens in the middle of the screen and says “xxxxxxxxx has been added to the shopping cart (with a picture of the item) and the options continue shopping, view cart, checkout”
I see, this is not implemented right now but we’re planning on updating the notification system in the near future, but can’t tell you an exact timeframe. It’s definitely on the list though. Thanks!

I just prefer the overall style of yours which is why I am going to buy it. I think with the extra bits the theme would be perfect! 
Yes, we’ll have a nice notification system for “Add to Cart” in the near future. The mega menu, however, needs extensive work as it requires modifying OpenCart core files and so far Journal does not replace any original core files. We’ll keep it in mind for future updates. Thank you!

Very interested in this theme, but is it possible to make more space in the header for a larger logo and full size banner/header image?
Hi, yes, we’re actually finishing up v1.3 which includes a wide screen option of 1220px. Right now it maxes out at 980px. The logo area is also increased on this new layout, but you can easily enlarge it more with custom css. The slider module can have any dimensions, so if its width exceeds the browser width it will resize itself to always be at the edges.
