Why does my blog post / journal still have a white background. I have the Cartographer background loaded and have inserted the CSS code for the Cartographer style also. Your sample page show a transparant background for this style. http://demo.megathe.me/skylab/journal/

I haven’t read through all the comments to find out if this issue has been addressed yet but did you know that the ‘Portfolio Visible Titles’ does not show any visible titles in Firefox, however it does in Chrome?

I have made my images 1600 w x 1200 h as you said, but my images are still being cropped in the full width slider on the home page. HELP!!!! for example, the image with the tree and the guy….the guy’s feet show and the blue sky above the tree shows in the image before your theme attacks it. I cant have it being cropped.
If you dont check on this soon, the theme will be deactivated as I can not have it appearing this way until solved.

I am noticing on your demo site images are also cropped when using the full width slider. NOT GOOD! super smooth slider doesnt fill the screen with the image so that is not an option for me.

It is BAD when important parts of an image are being cropped. Heads and feet….for example!!
Align your images to center of slides. You can find this option in “Slider Settings” meta box.
I have already aligned to center….not aligned to center…aligned to center again…it does not fix the cropping issue.
Aligning option works just fine for us.
do you have align to center option set on your demo site for the full width slider?
No.
well if you look at your images they are cropping also at different screen settings….try dragging the corner of your window to different sizes and you will see what I mean by cropping parts of the images…. I guess there is just no way to make the full image show on this theme with the full width slider unless someone can come up with the exact height/width of the images we need to upload.

How do I make the post that appear on my blog take up more room width wise. I dont have time to sit and read through all these comments to see if it has been asked before. (searchable comments would be wonderful!)
And how do I make my Gallery in my post on my blog appear BELOW the title of the blog.
I have read the documentation for both of these and do not see my answer.

NOT GOOD!!! Why would a title of a blog post be below the start of the post???? Why can the width of the blog post pages not be editable???
It’s possible to do but would likely need the help of a developer.
consider making the width an editable field (and many more fields) as most other themes have!
Sorry there aren’t any plans to make fields editable.

Would you mind adding another number version when you release an update? When I did the last update I was at 1.0 and now I am still at 1.0 … But the css modification I made in the “theme option -> Style” doesn’t work anymore… My background was black and now it is dark purple…

Hi there, I just wanted to say first off – this is an amazing theme and I’m really happy with it! I do have one quick question though:
Is there a way to limit the responsiveness of this theme? I really don’t like how it puts in the menu bar above the content when viewing it in a small browser window or a tablet or phone. I’d much rather the responsiveness was limited so that when viewed on a phone it just resized the whole window to fit it on the screen. Then users can zoom in as they wish. It seems a shame to have such a nice website if all of the pretty stuff is lost when it’s viewed on a phone. Is this possible to achieve?

still trying to install and make this theme work. when I go to the download button there is an option for MAIN FILE and an option for INSTALLABLE WORDPRESS FILE. Is there any difference in the skylab.zip file in these two. which do I upload or ftp to my site?????

It is in both of the MAIN and INSTALLABLE downloads….at different file sizes…that is the reason it is confusing.

i have several questions…. 1. on a portfolio, below the content, i would like the categories under ‘filed under’ to be linkable to the portfolio page category filters. is this possible? 2. is there a way to use a URL to point to the various category filters? 3. can the main portfolio page default to a category filter, instead of showing ‘all’? 4. on a portfolio, in an image gallery, can i use one of the theme’s gallery styles, or am i stuck with the default wordpress gallery?
