Hi there

if the product name is too long, could i make it move to next line??

thanks

What pagination are you referring to?

sorry, i mean the effect of custom sections; after setting up, there is no ’’effect’’ like the demo.

Perhaps it wasn’t set up properly, have you followed the instructions in our documentation on how that module works? Please file a ticket on our support page with your url so we can look at it http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks.

1. I go to the slider 2. Cashing button 3. Leave a message: “No Modules Created” What to do?

Hi, I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re saying, please file a ticket on our support page so we can look at your setup. Thanks! http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support

Suggestions:

1.) Add option to allow sliders/banners from modules to be added to more than just one layout page without having to make a duplicate of the slider. Or even an option to make a copy of the slider would be better than nothing.

2.) Be able to have different sliders/banners on individual product pages.

Yes, #2 has always been possible, you can put different modules on any page, including individual product pages – you just have to create a custom layout for each. Same goes for different products with the same name – you create additional layouts for each. Thanks!

Gottcha…...I remember seeing that before but I was confused as to what “Route” was at the time and totally forgot about it being there. While Open Cart is a great cart, it isn’t always the most straight forward. They need to learn some lessons from you guys about using visual help aides. :)

Hi, thanks a lot! It si a great cart but there’s a lot of room for improvement. It will come eventually, they’re constantly working on it.

BTW, what is blog manage meant?? is there any blog function?? and how could i put my FB on side box??

thanks

Hi, the Blog Manager means our theme supports the Blog Manager extension, sold separately here http://www.echothemes.com/extensions/blog-manager.html

To put your facebook on a side block, you have to generate your likebox code on facebook website and paste that iframe in the custom side block. Please file a ticket if you need assistance with this http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks!

thanks for ur reply. and i found out that the ’’menu category’’ looks different while i use IE to check the website. it seems like css problem i think.

Hi, that could be from a cross-domain misconfiguration. Please file a ticket so we can look at it. Thanks!

Hi

there is an error while installing this. when i paste $controller->addPreAction(new Action(‘module/journal_cp’)); the front show ’’Journal modules are not enabled!’‘

Hi, that means you haven’t installed the Journal modules in Extensions/Modules Please read our documentation (Activate Theme part) If you still encounter any issues please file a ticket on our support page http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks!

Question, I am getting ready to buy your theme but as I was playing around with it I found it that on the iphone and ipad your template #2 and #3 fail to load the background images, has this been brought up to you before and is there a fix available?

Thanks

Hi, this is an option from the admin – you can disable the fullscreen module on mobile devices for better performance, or you can leave them on, your choice. I turned them on now so you can check. Thanks!

Thanks alot for the info, beautiful theme btw, buying now :)

Thanks so much, let us know if you need any assistance with the theme. Cheers!

HI DA, Just bought your product last night. Great work. I ran into some problems. I am trying to edit the Information section to add some info since it is currently blank.(About us, Terms and Conditions, etc,) and what I encountered was that I am unable to get the description section to add my text. Is there something that is preventing this information section from editing. Second, Item, and I believe everyone who bought this wonderful theme would agree. Would you have a video tutorial available on utilizing your theme versus just the documentation you have available. I bet many of us would pay for the video tutorial. Maybe charge $20.00 and make it like a Youtube type video. This would be cool. Thanks Joe.

Hi, those areas (About us, Terms, etc) are not controlled by this theme, they are OpenCart default features and this might have to do with the way your user permissions are set. We could take a look at it if you file a ticket on our support page with temporary admin access http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support

Some video tutorials are a good idea, we’ll see how we can come up with those by our next update. They’ll be free of course :)

Thanks!

Wow! that was awesome on the response time. Super. Would you happen to know which permissions I would have to change what area should I look at in the html area (FTP) admin, system, catalog, image etc, )) and should I make the permissions 755. It seems to be an easy fix then just need to know which to modify? On another note, would you suggest to change all files to 755 if not why? Thanks

Hi, we don’t offer direct support here, please file a ticket for this on our support page and we’ll try to help you out. http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks!

Hello,

I’m having some problems with your theme on multiple store. Ex: 1 slider is defined for home page, on default store ok! but on second store slider is showing in everywhere.

By the way any plan to have support for multiple store on slider and fullscreen slider module?

Best regards

The multi-store is a global OpenCart feature that applies differently throughout the admin modules. We’ve recently built support for this feature in our Control Panel so people can customize their individual stores look but this only applies to the Control Panel.

The Journal Slider module works similar to the default OpenCart Slideshow module and that uses a different approach to multi-store. You have to create custom layouts for these modules. Here’s some info on how that works http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=34296 but you can file a ticket on our support page if you need assistance on how to achieve this and we’ll guide you through it. http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support

Thanks!

Hello,

Yes, I’ve figured this out after post my comment!! Sorry :) Thanks anyway!!!! Best regards.

Hello,

Would it be possible to have Catalog Mode on CONTROL PANEL of the Journal theme? Other existing modules that do this are not compatible with Journal theme.

Best regards

Hi, there isn’t a Catalog Mode option right now but we’re working on this feature for our 1.7 update. Thanks!

hi

absolutely loving your work on this theme we have begun to update our site with this fantastic piece of work! have a little question though is there a way to add a twitter feed in the footer to add to the facebook like box ?

regards www.gymgear.ie

p.s. thanks so much for the quick update to fix the guest checkout issue

Hi, thanks a lot for your kind words. Twitter feed can be inserted in the Custom Text area of the footer (or in the custom blocks). To place it right next to the Facebook likebox would require a customization. Get in touch on our support page to see how we can help you. http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks!

Hi, just installed the template. It is a wonderful theme. However I’ve found that, when a guest checkout or registers an account, “E-Mail Address does not appear to be valid!” is given at the Billing Details stage. I’ve tried the default theme, this bug is not there. Guest can checkout/registers successfully.

Hi, thanks, please make sure you have the latest theme version, 1.6.2. It’s available now for download on Themeforest. If you still encounter any issues after the update please file a ticket on our support page http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support so we can assist you. Thanks!

Thanks! Its working perfectly.

Wow… Did anyone saw Author has mentioned about Centre Logo; Mega menu & Revolution slider will be upcoming by next release 1.7? Amazing, all these extra features will make existing customers more happy and continue enhance entire theme to attract future customer.

AWESOME & GREAT!!!

Thanks adamngai, we’re hard at work making this the best theme :) Cheers!

Hi, just installed the template, the subcategories are not showing up in the drop down menu, is there a switch?

Hi, depending on which menu system you use – the Multiple-Level Menu has a on/off switch because it uses a different structure. The multiple-level subcategories are created in Catalog/Categories. Please file a ticket on our support page so we can better assist you http://journal.digital-atelier.com/support Thanks!

okay thanks, I figured it out. How can I find my purchase code?

Hi, your purchase code is in the Licence Certificate – click on Download and choose the certificate. https://journal.digital-atelier.com/support/img/code.jpg

Hi again,

Any plan for: - Mega menu? - Revolution slider?

thanks!

Hi, yes actually both will come in our next updates. We’re working on revolution slider with custom interface. Thanks!

hi, Any plan to have the option to have the logo to be centered also?

thanks!

Hi, many of our customers have asked about this so yes, we are considering the option for our next updates. Thanks!

Excellent! Finally a good theme

about the blog 1) is it possible to display lastest article(s) on the home page (like your banner)?

Suggestion 2) link latest comment to comments instead of articles -> blog/article&article_id=888#articleComments and not blog/article&article_id=888

Hi, that’s not possible in this case. The product grid is precisely measured to fit within the various responsive resolutions and would involve extensive css recoding. Thanks!

found an easy workaround: is it possible to add the home banner of journal I just after/under the welcome message of journal III ?

Hi, the Journal Slider module sits outside the main container so it can be made full-width to 100% of the entire site so that can’t be positioned below the Welcome module but you can place the Journal Static Banners anywhere on the page (top or bottom) and that way you can have one banner span the entire width of the main content.

Thanks for this template, every function and style element is well considered. ;)

Thank you dvweb, appreciate your comment!

Hi i from Malaysia hi.. i’m interested to buy this theme… but i want to know if this system have setting to link with payment provider for online payment purpose.

Hi, OpenCart has great support for payment gateways. You need to search for a suitable payment provider on OpenCart’s extensions page. A quick search for Malaysian payments returned this: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension&filter_search=malaysia

Let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
