No, the problem isn’t with the script – the popup is opening as you can see. The problem is that what your gallery items are linking to are not images, they’re linking to the attachment page so prettyphoto can’t open it. If you want, I can log in and verify you have it set up correctly – just open a private ticket on the support forum with your info.

I just purchased your theme…..I always prefer to create a child theme so I can freely edit the css and not have the changes overwritten in updates. I reference the css but I think I need a template reference. Any ideas what I should push over into a child theme folder?

You only need to create a stylesheet and import the parent theme’s stylesheet; nothing else needs to be brought over in order for the child theme to work.

If you check out that screenshot of your source code, the highlighted line in blue is the culprit. If you can remove whatever you have in place that’s adding that image then the space will go away. Looks like it’s something from nojsstats.appspot.com

It’s not going to be inside the template file itself, as that image is obviously not a apart of Salient. It’s getting inserted by a plugin most likely.

Masonry Blog > Format video > embedded vimeo video code. I’m trying to have preview image instead of 1st frame of my vimeo video showing. I have uploaded the image (960 ppx wide) – it’s showing on edit page but fails to show on main blog page and the individual page. I tested this with self hosted video and the image is showing no problem. ???

What you’ve described is normal behavior. You can only use a custom preview image for self-hosted videos because the player is being created on your site instead of being embedded in an iframe. If you want to change the preview image for vimeo video you have to configure that in your vimeo account, there’s an option for it On your video’s page in vimeo, go to Video Settings > Basic > Thumbnails

Terrific, looks fine, however I have one issue to start with, in the “home slider” if I try to upload anything…nothing happens. I have re-installed the theme, I am using wordpress Version 3.5.1…and nothing. I can not upload anything. Also, on the left side of the wordpress menu, Salient has a black cross (image missing I guess) if that can help…I have tried with IE9, Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Any idea? Best

Does the image shown on the portfolio thumbnail have to be the first image on the details page or can those be different? Also can you turn off the view larger option in the thumbnail? Basically I’m trying to create a thumbnail different than any image in the details with no need to zoom in on that thumbnail.

P.S. Can you substitute your own icons/buttons in lieu of the default ones? I’m guessing no because it’s a short code but thought I’d ask before purchase.

1. It’s pretty easy to remove the thumbnail image from being the first image on the more details page – just need to delete a line of code in the relevant file.
2. Yes, I’ve already posted a CSS snippet to remove the view larger button in the forums
3. It would be hard to add your own icons and have them behave in the manner the default ones do without creating some custom CSS rules. This is because the ones that come with the theme are a font file and not images you can easily swamp or add to.

Open up your functions.php file and search for ”# Image sizes” (should be around line 173 depending on your version) Modify the portfolio-thumb size. You’ll need to recreate all the thumbnails for your projects as image sizes are created upon upload and won’t effect any previously uploaded images you have. There’s also a few plugins to recreate image sizes as well if you don’t feel like reuploading everything

Ahhhhh – found it. You knew I would, didn’t you? I found it in the Main File(s) download. It was not in the Installable Wordpress File zip that I downloaded immediately upon purchase. I had to go to my download page which is where I found the other available downloads including the Main File(s) download. Woot! On my way now….

hi there
im having alot of trouble with the home page slider. it is importing my images and cropping them. also it puts a border between the bottom of the slides and the info for the panel underneath – this border is also inconsistent in size from slide to slide (sometimes approx 10 pix, sometimes approx 40 pix)
can anyone please help me out?

Sorry to be asking a really basic question but can’t figure out why the home slider is not showing on home page. I’ve imported all the dummy content, everything works fine, assigned menus, created hope page as static page – and have all the other content on home page except the slider. Is there an option to choose home page without a slider that I might have accidentally activated?

As of now the only parallax element in the theme is the home slider and as its name implies, can only used on the home page.
