Hey guys,
So I created a portfolio section and everything was working fine, but then I came back a few weeks later to post some more and now for some reason every time I make a portfolio post there is a big black box at the top of every new post that I create. The previous posts that I made weeks ago are fine, but all new posts have that black box. I have no clue why this could be happening. I thought I would try updating to the most current version. Right now I’m running 1.5.1, but there is another issue, it won’t let me download the update without paying for the theme again. Is there something about the license I don’t understand? Am I only allowed a certain number of upgrades before I have to pay again?

The black box only appears as a placeholder when you have not set a featured image for your projects.
Regarding the update – I don’t see your purchased tag which would display if you had bought the theme already. Is it possible you purchased under a different account name?
So I feel like a big dumb dummy 
The black box is obvious now I don’t know why I didn’t think of that. Too many sleepless nights in front of the computer I suppose.
And about purchasing the theme, apparently I have two accounts with user names that very similar. I purchased your Salient theme under (squareinch) not (square_inch). Yet another boneheaded move. I was able to grab the most current version of the theme. Thank you for you help even though you had to simply state the obvious. You guys probably have headaches from rolling your eyes at us so much. lol

What version of WooCommerce and what are the errors?
It’s Version 2.0.13
These are the errors, I replaced the directory names here to ‘BLANK’

Very strange, all of those errors are coming from the plugin itself rather than the theme. an you verify your WooCommerce is working when the theme is not active?
So I tried to activate another theme and the plugin and its not working either. any idea what might be the problem?
Okay, then it sounds like there’s an issue with your plugin alone. I would recommend downloading a fresh copy of it as it might have been corrupted somehow.

Hey, what would it take to get a boxed version with a background image? That’s pretty much all I’m missing at this point.

There is already an audio shortcode to drop your self hosted music files wherever you desire. Have you played with that already or do you need something more robust that can handle playlists or something?

It’s should be near the bottom of the shortcode generator labeled “Audio”.

You’d have to edit the files inside of includes/post-templates-pre-3-6 to remove them. There’s no containing div to hide them with css alone.

Congratulations on a terrific theme and big thumbs up for including the option to choose colors for the bar graphs, very useful.
Is there a way to add the Portfolio Page Header to the Project Categories and Project Attributes results page from the Tag Cloud widget (like it does for the post Categories and Tags in that it adds the Blog Page Header to the results)? Also the post-content masonry results on the Project Attributes page has padding-left: 95px, is there a way of overriding it on this page only?
I know you’re a busy man but any pointers would be much appreciated.

I thought this might be the case. As the Project Attributes page comes up with the Blog Page Header (instead of the Portfolio Page Header) I’ve decided not to use this widget for the Project Tags so no need for the css snippet. I shall ponder on an alternative solution. Thanks for the offer though.

Yes, you can set that page as your front page and never use the home page template at all if you don’t need it
awesome Bought it! I do have a problem while playing a video if you click “watch video” from the portfoliopage. A banner keeps popping in and going away.. How do I fix this?

I’m using chrome version 28.0.1500.72 m! I checked in internet explorer and it isn’t happening over there… so I guess it’s a chrome bug.
I’ll try to explain again: - In chrome - Open the live preview of salient template - go to portfolio tab – 3 rows - “Flippin Bird – Video” hover over it and press: “Watch video” - Press play
If the video starts playing, on the right a scrollbar appears and disappaers constanly. Blinking in and out of the screen. Like it re-adjusting the ratio of the video pop-up constantly..
Kind of a weird bug if you ask me..

Hello, the theme is really nice, but i have a problem with “sort portfolio” button. i create project categories and ordered them, but there is no sort portfolio button on my portfolio page. how can i create that button? is there any setting?

Yes, you have to check the box “Display Sortable” in your Portfolio Display Settings Box on the right hand side when you’re creating/editing your portfolio page.

Just about done with my site..it’s looking great thanks to Salient. My question pertains to image borders. I’ve added in some photos in the main content areas. I’d like to change to border colors. Where in the CSS specifically can I find where to make border edits? I don’t want to mess up styles for other images by messing with the wrong styles.

it appears that your images have inline styles creating the borders directly on them. When I inspect the code I see:<img width="300" height="197" src="http://ciom.crushitstage.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/shutterstock_111097151_1copy-300x197.jpg" alt="shutterstock_111097151_1copy" style="border: 4px solid black;" class="size-medium wp-image-872 alignleft" />
Why not just modify the
style="border: 4px solid black;"
to make the edits? If you’d rather use css classes, just assign each image a specific class to target with a css rule to apply your desired border styling.

Hi,
I checked out your live preview – really beautiful theme! Love it! However in regards to the pricing table I really miss a feature (if it’s not possible in the control panel). I’m wondering if it’s possible to add a category table to the left of the pricing tables. See this illustration: http://www.screencast.com/t/8OpLdDapEnfI hope the illustration makes sense (ignore the Standard, Advanced and Premium columns). Is this possible?
I’m asking since having this category table to the left would enable you to save space by avoiding repeating yourself, and instead be able to add a much more specific feature description.
If it’s not possible yet, any plans on when it will come?
