1). How to I get the the sidebar to show up on every page?

2). Can I change the theme to a B&W theme where the tabs and blocks are black and the page background in white? If so, where exactly would I go to make these changes?

3). How do I make it to where certain tabs link to specific forums?

Some header tabs are “unclickable”, and have no icon—Contacts, News.

Yes, you can change the theme to any color you want. All the colors are stored in theme .css-files. You can find theme here -

/styles/YOUR_THEME/theme/

So just find and replace colors to those you need.

All the tabs are inside ‘tabs.html’ template. Add your links there.

Okay, so I pretty much have everything done, but how do I get the “welcome” and “social icons” block to show? Also, even though I have the correct id’s for the tabs the icons are still not showing up.

Okay, so I’ve followed your instructions and have figured it all out with the exception of 2 things:

1). I’ve read the documentation and have followed the instructions in regards to replacing the nav-tab-id with a unique id but the icon still does not show up.

Where do I find these id’s? I assumed they were in the imageset folder, but I’m clearly not not doing something right.

instead of mchat I went with ishoutbox. I’m trying to embed the shout box into a sidebar. My sidebars now appear below right above the footer instead of on the sides. I’m guessing this is because my chatbox is too wide?? Do you think that is my problem? and if so what width should i set my chatbox to so it fits.

As I see you just didn’t install the sidebar properly. You should follow the steps from the documentation exactly as it’s written there. Now you sidebar is pasted below footer.

Now you have the sidebar code inserted after the footer. And it must be just before the main block. There’s a special comment inside the template -

So you just insert in below the comment. Read the documentation, it’s described there quite clearly.
