Hi, I didn’t find any document or descriptions about the terms used in full width section with parallax background: Left Top, Left Center, Left Bottom, Center Top , Center Center, Center Bottom, Right Top, Right Center, Right Bottom. What’s the difference among these positions? and is there any difference in the parallax effect if one section locates in the very top of a page and another section (identical to previous one) locates in the very bottom of a page?
Hey futureguitar! The selection for background position does not apply when using the parallax option – the background position for parallax sections gets calculated automatically. However when not using the parallax option, that property to determine how your background image gets aligned. It’s css parameter that’s good to have control over

Any plans to add a simple image slider? You have Image with Animation short code, but I’d like to use the carousel functionality in one column to slide images – presentation would be exactly as it’s done on a multi-image portfolio page.

Your theme is just awesome! Big Up! I use it for my portfolio and absolutely love it. In my case it would make sense to get rid of the the two options for the mouse over an image in the portfolio menu. Instead of choosing between “watch video” or “more details” it would be nice to just get directly to the details page when you click on a thumbnail. Is that possible without messing up your nice code?

Absolutely amazing theme, loving it immensely so far. I was wondering, is there a way to add the ability to scroll through the portfolio once it shows up in the lightbox? To clarify, on the portfolio page you can click ‘View Larger’ on a portfolio item, but then the user must click the ‘X’ to return to the page and then choose another photo. I would like to add maybe arrows that would allow the user to scroll through all the portfolio items without having to exit back out.

Hey Zachary! Unfortunately there is no gallery support by default so in order to add that functionality you would need to do some custom development. I will see what I can about that in the future though

Unfortunately there is no psd available at this time. They’re very few image icons being used anymore anyway they’re mostly icon files.

HI I use your theme on amultisite and I need to remove the sidebar from the main site pages only . I did it for the posts pages but inside the posts it still appear is there a Custom CSS to use to remove the side bar completely from the main site?
Hey yahya_amd! There’s actually an option to hide the sidebar on the posts page just select the full width layout inside of the blog options tab in the theme options panel
I already hide it for posts page but when I click on the post to read it the sidebar appears again

What’s the best / non-destructive way to update your theme on my live wordpress site when the new version comes out?

You can update your theme by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new. You won’t lose any content or theme settings because it’s all stored in the database rather than the theme itself. The only thing you would have to watch out for is if you modified the files themselves..as long as you didn’t do that you’re good to go

Hey sungsoo, you install the theme through ftp the same way you install any other theme. Place it in the unzipped theme inside of the (/wp-content/themes/) directory. You don’t even have to use ftp – you can upload the zip right into WordPress in the admin panel by going to Appearance > Themes and then going to the install themes tab.

Hey Mr_Da! What version are you on? there was a bug in versions prior to the latest couple releases that caused the link format to not link correctly.

Quick question … is there a way to modify/make default the ‘summary text’ of a post chosen by Salient in the ‘Recent Posts’ short code? Currently, its taking the last paragraph of text from my posts (which happens to be all the same).

You can use the excerpt box when creating your post. If you don’t see the excerpt box make sure it’s checked to display in your screen options on the top right hand of your screen

There is a problem with the viewport on the iPhone. It still allows you to zoom. It does not fill the iPhone screen.

1. If you don’t want the user to be able to zoom, simply open the header.php file and change this line:<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1" />to this:

Hi ThemeNectar, I am trying how I can get my store as shows in your demo http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/shop/?sidebar=true but the page I created it doesn’t look as your demo. Here is my link where you can check what I did http://dsign4.dyndns-home.com/shop/shop-with-sidebar. Could you tell me what I am doing wrong when I created the page “Shop with sidebar”?
You need to set your shop page as the actual WooCommerce products page and then select the sidebar layout inside of the theme options panel > woocommerce options. Just using the shortcode with a regular page sidebar layout is not how it should be done.

Is there something I have to configure to get a mobile redirect plugin to work. I have tried multiple plugins, I also deactivated every plugin and It won’t redirect to my mobile version of the website.
