How to remove “Posted by” & “No Comment”
I can remove it in the single.php for single post, but it still show in the blog archive list.

I just wanted to say congratulations on the release of the update and thank you for all of your incredible work. Just when we thought this theme couldn’t get any better you exceed all expectations – love it!
PS. The new slider seems to get stuck on the live demo site (it just keeps preloading on the homepage – using Chrome on a Mac)

As for the issue you’re having – I actually am checking it out right now on my macbook in chrome and there should be no issues loading. Have you cleared your cache since the update hit?

The search result indeed show the image now, but it is still in 3 column grid view. The image is very small and the sidebar make the image even smaller.
I’m using the full width blog without sidebar, but the search result page show the sidebar which is not follow the same style of my website(no sidebar).
How can i show it in normal LIST VIEW without sidebar ?
Any simple way to make the image bigger ?
How to do it in search.php ? 1 column and remove sidebar.
You would need to edit the file to remove the sidebar div and then change the content container to be a class of span_12 instead of span_9. You will then need to remove script at the top of the page and also change the css for the #search-results .result div in the main stylesheet.

I just wonder why you go for this narrow grid view result, the default listing way is the perfect way, but you make it worst not better. I really hope you can change it back to the wp default way. Remove the sidebar if the user is using full width.
The span_12 is working good. I remove all widget in sidebar, so the sidebar seems invisible now instead of push down. The script and css is difficult to me, so far i’m ok with the result. Thank you

Now that’s a SOLID update to a theme that was already one of the best out there.
I still haven’t used it in a project, but have played many many times with the demo.. Hopefully a client of mine will choose this template soon

Great! Thanks for your response and interest. While we’re on the field of notes, do you know what would would be realy great (and me thinks it would be kind of simple to do)? To have titles and, mainly, social share icons/buttons enabled for the resized/shadowboxed pics/items when we click and select them, this way we could share pics ans such. Thanks again.

Still have some problem in google chrome. The video background can’t be displayed. The menu with submenu has two arrows.
Clear your browser cache and are you saying you can’t see the backgrounds on the demo or your local setup? They will work in all browsers when the correct formats are supplied, it’s been thoroughly tested.

do you just overwrite the folder in themes? I would think that that would wipe out all the customization I have done. Thanks in advance!

I wanted to upgrade my current Salient theme to what I’m seeing right now on the live preview. I downloaded what’s attached to the themeforest site right now but it doesn’t seem like it’s been upgraded or I could be wrong?

Hey Pochiba! You can indeed link icons by wrapping the shortcode in a regular html link in the text tab on your editor. e.g:

Amazed how well the Slider looks on mobile devices, a lot of sliders look poor – not this one. I will admit that it takes a few swipes to slide from one to another, might just be my phone but I am a big fan of this theme!

just purchased the theme and installed it.
The blog posts on my main page are not showing the “Read More” tab at the bottom. Instead the entire post is showing up in the column for all of the blog layouts. How do I limit the number of words shown and get the Read More button?

Hey Adamantium511! Have you inserted a more tag into your post where you want the read more button to appear? Alternatively you can just use the excerpt box as well.
hi, salient is more than a theme.it is best theme that i have ever seen.i think if salient has a beautiful drop-down login and subscribe box in top of theme it wil better.if you ad dark background it will better,too. thanx so much for this theme.
