hi, regarding the page loading indicator it still does not seem to work on portfolio or single post when you click the close button. am running 1.2 and i have cleared the cache, i hope you can fix this.

Ah ok, yes, Categories and tags are now working, however IE8 still has problems with displaying the Samba theme, I noticed this not only on my own site, but also on your preview site.

first at all i have to say: realy beautyfull theme!
But… i have an issue in combination with wpml string translation. I dont get it working with the theme. After installing the core and the string plugin, i activate the option in the samba settings to use wmpl. Once back in the string plugin i cant set wmpl to use the translations, it wont be stored after saving. Its just possible to use the way with the .mo translations.

Installed the latest version and it works with a few issues. I am able to use string translation but just if i deactivate visual composer, otherwise the string translations will result a blank window. Once translated deactivating the composer and all is fine. Just a lil workaround but works on this way.
Sorry, once again a issue. Trying to reactivate the composer results:

My Memory Limit on the server is 64mb… so usually enough to reactivate it…
Deactivated all wmpl and reactivating of string translation works. But all translations gone even if i reactivate wpml again.
Can you give my hint wich value is needed for: load_theme_textdomain in wpml with this theme?

I’m having problems installing the Samba theme, which I just purchased. I am a novice, but have successfully installed other themes and plugins already. I can’t get the Samba theme (extracted from zip file) to open. I installed the Samba-child file after I couldn’t install Samba—but it needs the parent to activate. Thanks for your help.

So, I am trying to create two ‘portfolios’ one traditional, and one for case studies.
I created a ‘case studies’ page and gave it the ‘portfolio-titles’ template (easy enough) including checking ‘case study’ category in the portfolio template custom options: http://pixelneer.com/case-studies/
I created a ‘portfolio item’ with the skill ‘case study’ (note a 404) the URL is directing to portfolios. http://pixelneer.com/portfolios/color-blind-accessibility/
I created a sub-page under the case studies (this of course works) http://pixelneer.com/case-studies/color-blind-accessibility/The disconnect clearly is making the portfolio item on the case study page using the portfolio-titles template resolve to the /case-studies/.. URL’s instead of the /portfolios/.. URL.
Am I misinterpreting the concept of ‘multiple portfolios’ as it was intended?

I could not wait till the weekend before I purchased your lovely theme… and have done so and worked a bit on it late last night. One thing I was not able to make it work was the widgets tools to be activated on left bottom side bar… with Pixia theme, I was simply able to drag and drop what i wanted.. but in this case, it is greyed out…. any help? and i am now on 1.2 version… and its fairly smooth.. although the menu bar is not as quite smooth as your preview option… if you could look into that, it would be fab! many thanks!
Hi again, dont worry about the widget…! it has decided to work again (maybe because i was using safari..?) but with chrome it has allowed me to add. but one more question… which is can you adjust the width of the menu bar? or alternatively have the logo positioned somewhat in the middle or on the right hand side of the menu bar? it is because my logo is more of a square… and looks a bit odd if it is on the left hand side… cheers

About the logo: the available width is 220px so I would say that you can use a png file with a transparent background and place it wherever you want to. If you prefer it can be done with css too.

it is a brilliant theme and has so much more functions that Pixia.. and gives me more flexibility and creative layouts I was after! so thanks for that!! as for logos…. i was thinking of that but was not too sure if that would ruin for smaller devices… or would you then have normal square one for the collapsed menu and just 220px wide with transparent background with logo positioned where i want wihtin that as an alternative to go around rather than playing with css to avoid having to tweak it every time the theme gets updated?
and lastly any luck with smoother scrolling with menu bars?

I recommend you to stick the 1-click install sample content feature, because the XML import does not work perfectly on all servers. Also, I can help you with setting up a specific page/content if you can’t figure it out.

Did you refreshed the page and/or cleared your browser cache? I know the origin of that problem, but it’s fixed now. If you still have trouble, can you try with a similar device? I still think it has to be a cache problem, because it’s working here with the same exact device and browser.

Hi, I’ve just purchased this theme, installed it on WP, activated the theme and installed the recommended plugins, and then my site went blank.
I renamed the samba folder to deactivate it and managed to get into the dashboard. I tried activating the theme again and Wordpress has come up with an error that says:
“Cheatin’ uh?”
Which makes me wonder if something within the theme is intentionally making my site crash because it thinks I’ve stolen it? I just paid NZ$71 and don’t expect this kind of problem with a Themeforest theme!

If you google for “Wordpress Cheatin uh” you’ll see that this has nothing to do with this theme. About the problem you had before: please try turning off other plugins you may have before trying again. Also, make sure that your Wordpress is updated and maybe repeat the theme upload process.
If you still have trouble, please set the debug mode to true (http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress) and tell me what error do you see.

Yes, the portfolio can show a filter on top (the preview shows only some sample pages and you can mix their properties).
As for SEO, I don’t see any problem, but if you prefer you can install the Yoast plugin. Also, if you are worried because of Ajax page loading, this is not a problem, because it is controlled with jQuery so Google Web Crawler will go to the links the same way (Javascript is off). Anyway, if you fell more comfortable, you can turn off the Ajax loading thing.

1 – Mobile mode 3 bar: please check the preview (it should be ok now and this fix is included on the 1.2 version that’s currently on queue for approval);
2 – If you are talking about the social icons I decided to hide them, because there’s no space;
3 – Go to Samba Options>Menu Bar and remove the color from the menu right border option;

Considering the portfolio half layout: would it be possible to constrain the picture height for vertical images, so that it remains within the screen boundaries? Of course this would imply to reduce picture width if necessary. Thanks !

Instead of adding extra scripts for this, if you want it always to be visible (or mostly visible) the easy way is to “convert” it into a landscape image. To do this open the image on Photoshop increase the canvas width and keep the background transparent. Save as .png to keep the transparency and you should be ok.

Not convinced by this trick, it wouldn’t adapt to client screen size … and above all I don’t feel like doing this for hundreds of pictures ! It might be possible to get available height x width and size the slider from that ? but you’re right, that means additional script.
