However, I have a problem with the portfolio single page. When i choose “Full Width Portfolio Item Layout”, I turn on the “gallery slider”, my gallery disappear instead of becoming a slider. I just have a blank space instead.
Did you find a way to fix this?

this is a known bug that will be taken care of in the upcoming release – if you want to use a slider on the full width single portfolio page, just use the Nectar Slider for now

I am currently browsing themes and have a pre-purchase question:
On the home page where you have section “Recent Work We’ve Completed For Our Amazing Clients.”, is there a way to actually present there ‘latest posts’ and the posts would show exactly like “Recent work…”, so as a grid of images, preferably 3 rows 3 columns, also preferably with exerpt text sliding up once the mouse is hovering over the image. Is that something possible to implement in your theme ?
2. Are the looks fuly customizable without editing code ?
3. Do I have a choice when importing pictures to a blog post to present them either one below each other like in regular standard posts or to have a slideshow with thumbnails ?
4. How is the whole parallax home site SEO optimized, are the text fully recognizable by web crawlers and would you consider this theme as good for SEO ?
5. I need the site to be trnslated into polish – does the theme offer translations or would I need to translate the theme files manually ?

1. There’s a recent posts shortcode, but it only offers a basic display as of now – I will be extending it in upcoming versions to offer more options though.
2. The looks are indeed highly customizable – colors, fonts, sizing you name it. However, I don’t know what you’re trying to accomplish so I don’t know if you’ll need custom css for anything.
3. You can use as many images you want in your blog posts and you also have the option to use a gallery like this: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient/dining/porttitor-porttitor-mollis-vitae-placerat/
4. Yes, all the text is readable by bots and I would consider it good for SEO but you can also use an SEO plugin like Yoast to squeeze all the performance out of it possible.
5. The theme has a .po file included for translation, but you would still have to translate all the strings.

Finally made my site live—though there is much to be built.
http://wantedhero.comRead the manual several times, watched videos and played with a test site first. I have a few issues I can’t seem to resolve (yet). They are:
- There is a white gap between the top of the slider image at the top of the home page: http://wantedhero.com/
- I created a contact page and combined it with my newsletter. Unfortunately I can’t use the cool map feature in your default version—as my site is fantasy, not reality (though if you ever design a fiction version, I’ll be the first to use it!!). However, there shouldn’t be a problem, as I’m just dropping in two forms…one for the email, one for the contact, right?
Nope. There’s a huge gap at the top of the page—as if it’s trying to use a header that simply doesn’t exist. Or the map on the cool contact page example. http://wantedhero.com/contact/
- The blog page has a couple items: http://wantedhero.com/category/blog/ A) I’d like to take off the “Blog” page name, as it takes away from the header art and title I’ve put into the custom field.
I use the masonry option—but each time you view a post, the faded effect increases when you go to the main blog page, making it near impossible to see. Can that fade effect be taken off? I’m hoping there’s a button I have missed somewhere!
C) Is there a way to make the type in the header art dark? In the “Page Header Settings” it says: For a full width background image behind your header text, simply upload the image below. To have a standard header just fill out the fields below and don’t upload an image. But that’s not what it does… The name of the page is still there.
Same thing with my shop page, “The Black Market”: http://wantedhero.com/shop/ I didn’t want it to say ‘The Black Market’ twice, so I just out up art and left it as is.
Am I missing something?

Ok, not sure what the problem was with the contact page—but I made a new page, called it something else and it works fine.

Ok, I bought your Theme. It`s really great. But I still have some questions about it.
Is there something like “related posts” and if not will it be in there in the future? It`s pretty important for bloggers with a lot of content. 
And another thing is, when I activate the layer slider plugin on a page with a shortcut, it has always a blank space between navigation and slider. Also how can I show a layer slider with parallax function? I just need it for the first page.

2. Does layer slider have a parallax function? The parallax functions built into the theme sliders are specifically tailored for them and are not transferrable to external sliders. If you give me your URL i’ll help you with the gap though

You can assign the portfolio layout to any page, but i’m adding a shortcode for it in the next release coming in about a week so if the layout doesn’t work the way you want (in regards to placing it in a specific area) just sit tight

it does not work.

you need to paste the embed for your video not just a link and you need to do it in the text tab on your editor as well like this:

The visual tab won’t parse HTML.

hi ThemeNectar i have a problem about icons. these do not work in IE. only IE (facebook icon, google icon, search icon etc..)
but Windows OS & Chrome can show icons Windows & IE disappear icon-images

there should be no difference in IE from the other browsers in regards to icons. Can you also not see them load on the demo in IE? If you can, the issue is something with your specific setup and i’ll need you to open a ticket here: http://themenectar.ticksy.com/ with your info so I can check it out

Hey mahiette, you can create a different page that could just display those categories instead of them all using the Portfolio Display Settings box. If you are trying to still show all your categories on one page, but just having a different starting category you’ll need to modify the page-portfolio.php file.

There is a page break on my site but I’m not sure how to remove it. I’ve looked into the code but I’m seeing any apparent errors. I just started to really build out pages and it continues on every page. The link to my site is www.fourfourbeatproject.org.

I looked on both and didn’t identify any extra spaces. It seems to be happening on every page I make.
Interesting, maybe a plugin is placing it there somehow? In any case, if it’s happening on every page it would easiest to just place this into your custom css box to remedy it:

Text size is tiny in the sliders when on a mobile device, it would be great if it could be bigger or controllable without a lot of coding.
Hey tartan, the text sizes scales down proportional to the rest of the slider to ensure no clipping on the image. The new slider was coded this was based on popular demand as the home slider lost a good deal of the image on mobile. This is also the same method of scaling as other premium sliders like Slider Rev/LayerSlider – if you want to change it you just need to alter the few lines of css for elements in that viewport, it’s not a lot of coding
Look for these rules in the mobile viewport in the responsive.css stylesheet located in the css folder.

I appreciate the fix provided, and i understand how and why the text scales with the slider. However, there is a need for a solution because you cannot read the text in mobile view. The whole point of responsive is that things are scalable to be read on mobile devices. I love this theme, it’s one of the best I have seen, but this is something that would be great to see fixed.
If the text gets bigger, the images will need to be cut on the sides – there’s no other option. I’ll try and make an option for this in a future update for users who want the size over proportional scaling.

Thanks, yes i understand the constraints, it would just be nice to have options. I think the slider is awesome, but I don’t know if we can use it if stuff is going to show up so small on a mobile device. Here is an example of what I’m talking about: http://bit.ly/HEhJbP. I believe the home slider cut off the image on resize and thats ok. We were designing our backgrounds accordingly. We love nectar slider because it has more features and would love to see this fixed! I have a long page that has 3 sections. I’d like to link to each section using id anchors.
When I link to the desired section, the page scrolls as desired, but given the fixed nav at the top, the top of the content ends up being hidden behind the nav.
How should I account for the nav height when linking to a section on a page? I’d love there to be some sort of padding that doesn’t affect page layout, only scroll destination.
