Looks like we’re using 1.7.1 – is there an easy way to update that won’t cause a disruption in the site?

If you havent done any modifications to the files then the easiest way is to simply update the theme by downloading the new version, deleting the old from the server and then uploading and activating the new one.

This will take your site down for approximately a minute or so, depending on your upload speed.

After that update you have the option for auto updates which was introduced with the 2.1 version of the theme, so in the future this will no longer be an issue

Please add a link to the blog you want to have modified, a few extra css rules should be sufficient to remove those unnecessary elements via css

Please add a link to your site and also tell us if you have made any recent changes (modified code, activated new plugins, updated wordpress etc)

If you want to use it in a default section you can insert images in enfold->styling and then chose the area.

You can also use the template builder and insert color sections with custom backgrounds

Guess the easiest solution right now would be to simply place an empty text widget in there. this will also remove the default dummy and won’t require you to edit any code if we release an update

No worries Did you ever take a look at child themes? Its quite easy to replace most theme files with a child theme file so you should be able to avoid most hacks:

other than using a few external plugins I see no problems in using the theme as a membership site

Hey! This sounds like your server is missing the ziparchive class necessary for certain zip files to be managed.

I would recommend to ask your hosting provider to install/activate the php class, its fairly common right now so there shouldn’t be any problems with that. Once the class is available the upload should work fine

I guess within the next 2 subversions of the theme (2.5 or 2.6) we will add some more features for styling and headings but cant give any ETAs right now

Hey! The portfolio layouts are just samples, they are built with the template builder. you can create pretty much any layout you like here

2.) The theme doesnt support that out of the box, but there are a lot of plugins tailored for different needs that work just fine

3.) Same as 2. Not out of the box but most newsletter plugins come with newsletter signup widgets or shortcodes, and you can then place either one anywhere on your page with the template builder

Hey! Not without a html and css customization. You would need to edit the enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia_shortcodes/portfolio.php file and edit the output around line 274, then edit the css of the ajax_previous and ajax_next class to display those labels
