When new people visit my forums for the very first time, the styles do not load for them. They have to refresh several times. This happens to the majority of new users.
I can access http://www.janusz.co.uk/phpbb/styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html just fine but come across problems when I try to access http://www.janusz.co.uk/phpbb/styles/metro_bw/template/overall_header.html
Why is that? Both have exactly the same CHMOD permissions

In fact, it might be worth reading over that phpBB thread as it has much more information. When using the Facebook debug tool on my site (janusz.co.uk) it actually is fine and brings back no 302 error

Is there any way I can remove the “Foes” feature? I run a gaming server and it might cause some tension if people are “foe-ing” other people all the time. Also, is there a way to make the logo scale depending on the size of the window? It works fine when the window is just slightly smaller than normal or when it’s less than half of the screen, but between that the logo goes over onto the buttons. Thanks in advance!

Love the theme! We’re just setting it up. One thing which we noticed was the numbering of pages in a thread. In a standard phpBB theme, the current page is highlighted like so 123456, making navigation intuitive, whereas on the metro theme, the current page is highlighted at the end of the list, which can confuse the navigation a little, i.e. 123564 Is there any way this could be changed? That’s strange. The numbers shouldn’t look like this. Did you install any addons or edit the templates?
We have Advanced BBCode installed and have replaced the header with our own, but have not done anything to affect the numbering. The site is here http://www.getoutofdebtfree.org/forum/index.php any suggestions would be appreciated

You’ve got a css-rule that breaks the pagination:
.pagination span, .pagination a, .page-numbers {
display: block;
float: left;
height: 30px;
width: auto;
}
display: block;
float: left;
These bold lines cause the issue. And they’re not from the original Metro css-rules. You seem to add them with a mod. If you disable them, you’ll get your pagination back.

Oh thank you now I have understood all this gibberish. There was no captcha_areyouhuman.html in either Metro template, but there was one in the prosilver one. I copied it to the template folders you suggested and it now works like a charm! Thank you so much!

Paste it inside the sidebar and style it as you want.

You need a mod that allows you to add additional category description. But I’m not sure whether something like this was ever released.
But you know, you can really use category descriptions for this purposes – it supports bbcodes, you can even add images. One thing – you’ll have to delete the ‘{FORUM_DESC}’ from the main page – because all the info will be present there too.

For a quick fix you can just rename ‘en’ folder inside the ‘imageset’ folder into your language code. E.g. for French language pack it should be renamed into ‘fr’, for German – ‘de’ etc. So you’ll get default English buttons working with your theme.
Why, when I go to make changes in acp in style, the changes affect only the browser and not on firefox or ie crohme? look at the headerbar and i are in subbar … all same as amended, with firefox and crohme not. so does the search at the top left with the link i do not see well ..so also with the prefooter blocks.. http://www.crohnface.it

I have added a fixed background image to the body in common.css, but on short pages, something somewhere else is causing the old default background color to show. Is there another file or setting I need to change somewhere?

It may happen because the image you added is too short for a long page. I thing you should just have to try to add a bigger image.
No, that’s definitely not the issue. I have the image set to a fixed position and a background color of #000000 so the image fades into the black. Instead, something is cutting off the bottom of the image and showing a background color of #f6f6f6. howtosurviveit.com/forum

I see… You should apply the background color the the ‘html’ element. Then you’ll have full colored background.

Unfortunately, the only way to update the theme is to upload all the theme files instead of the old ones. And I’m sorry to say, but you’ll have to install all the mods from scratch. It’s a phpbb3 theme limitation.

1. Yes, it’s 252px by default. To reduce the width you should change it via css – it’s inside ‘common.css’ template. And you should also increase the width of the main block to avoid the gap between them. The main block is ’#page-body-inner’ and it’s 916px by default.

Only “metro_blue” theme comment this:
