You’re uploading the wrong file. Unzip that main .zip file that you downloaded from ThemeForest. Inside you’ll see a reviewer-theme-only.zip. Upload that one.

Not easily. You’d need to do quite a bit of customizations to the code.

Hello! I’m not sure I understand what you mean by ‘questions’, but I’ll answer as best I can.
The reviews are only able to be created by authors on the site. The fields that you see on the demo are the fields that are available. Anything else would need to be customized.
As far as asking questions like “Would you like to watch the movie?”, you’d probably want to use a plugin for something like that which allows you to insert polls into posts.

Not at the moment, no. I don’t have a rtl.css in the theme, although it is all translatable.
so it would be easy for me to translate it and make it rtl right since its not hard-coded ?
Correct. It’s ready to be translated, a en_US.po file is included. You’d just need to create the rtl.css.

You’d need to customize the theme to accept those categories (staff, decor, etc.). You’ll need to know a little php to do that.
Is there any way to make the image of posts a dynamic feed from say an RSS URL
There’s nothing like that built into the theme. Maybe a plugin? It’s something that I’ve never done before, so I don’t really know what to tell you.

Yup, you can use this to write reviews for anything you want.
And yes, you can simply not mark any posts as ‘sticky’ and nothing will show in that header area.

I want to run a site where only users can post reviews. The users can create an account, sign in and create reviews. The reviews they post can be displayed as the main reviews. My questions is can your theme be adapted to do that ? And if it can, does it have any features that it will make it easier to implement such a website ?

The theme doesn’t let just anyone post reviews, they have to be a user. Through WordPress and/or a plugin users can register on the site and if you set them to contributors you’ll have access to actually approve the posts before they’re actually posted.

I run a review site for magic products (www.magicreviewed.com). I built it from the ground up. However, there are a ton of things I’d like to take advantage of by converting the site to Wordpress. Your theme, “the reviewer” looks like it might be just what I’m looking for.
However, I have a couple of questions/concerns: 1) You’ll notice on my site that there is product ad copy AND the review. As the site grows, I’ll be adding tons of products that have no review associated with them, but will someday have a review written. Does your template allow for a product to have it’s own description? I’d like to be able to display the products even if they have never been reviewed. Then any reviews (there will be multiple review authors) that are written for that product will be linked to the product somehow.
2) If multiple authors review the same product, will the star rating displayed next to the product be an average of the reviewers?

1) There’s nothing built into the theme for that. But if you’re comfortable coding (which looks like you might be) you could easily add something like that in via a child theme. If not, you could get the theme customized.
2) No, each post has one singular rating. Again, you could customize it if you want.

Like you said, that’s a plugin. That has nothing to do with the theme. I can only support the theme, not any third party plugins.

The theme is actually styled to use the AdRotate plugin. That space in the top header is static but you can definitely add ads elsewhere in the sidebars using that plugin. Were you wanting to add more to the header?

I wanted to add more ads to the sidebar. I saw some mixed reviews regarding the AdRotate plugin. What’s the deal on that? How functional is the free version? I definitely like the theme especially since I will be reviewing movies. I’m just trying to find out the limitations. beforehand.
Understandable. Unfortunately, we can’t speak to the reviews of the plugin. We’ve used the free version before and haven’t had any problems to speak of. However, if you’re concerned about the functionality of AdRotate specifically, I suggest loading it up on a demo site using a free theme and maybe demo-ing it to test it’s limitations? Let me know if you have any other questions.

There’s nothing in the theme specifically for videos, but using the default WordPress embeds for videos will work of course.

I purchased the Reviewer theme however, I am not seeing where to get the license certificate/product code needed to join the support forum. I looked on the Downloads page & there is no option to click on that says “License Certificate.’ I see “Regular License” and when I click on that I don’t see a product code. Please tell me EXACTLY where to find it. Thanks.

I’m not very strong in PHP. I know how to make edits, but my comprehension is limited. Do you have an example of this code finished. I’m good at learning from example.

Sorry, no. There’s nothing built into the theme like that. You could customize it if you want, but that’s outside of the realm of support so we won’t be able to help you in doing so.

No, I don’t. Not to say it won’t ever happen, but I don’t currently plan on making it responsive.

There aren’t options for that in the theme, but as long as you know what you’re doing with a little bit of code you can use the included child theme to make your adjustments.

No it’s not. I still support the theme 100%, but I have no plans to make it responsive.
