for now there isn’t this possibility. You can have gallery in homepage box but it has to look like our demo.

If you have basic HTML knowledge, then you could copy HTML gallery code from Singe Page and then insert it to custom Front Page Box. Maybe you could try this?

in order to enable front page grid, you need to create a new Page, and from sidebar section titled Page Attributes from the Template list select Home page template http://d.pr/i/KPGQ. And then to Publish the page.

If the Page Attributes section is not present on your screen, then in the top right of your screen click on screen options and check Page Attributes check box.

Then go to Settings -> Reading and for the Front page displays select A static page and from the drop down select the page you just created like so http://d.pr/i/ZZIE Save changes and your front page should be set…

you can pick colors via Theme Settings for fonts, brick stripe (small, medium, big), button, link, sidebar menu, sidebar menu hover, body background and etc.

Also there is Custom CSS field so you can easily make more changes.

maybe the problem occurs if there is a server timeout error.

Luckily, importer is ‘smart’ enough to know from where to continue when importing process is interrupted, so maybe you could start to import couple of times.

Yes, from Front Page Manager you can control box sizes and order, and it’s also available when you are inserting/editing Posts. There are 3 sizes of boxes, and there is an option to set default box size, too.
