Although I love this theme, I found the alignment and scaling in of the background image not the best (Sorry Aki! :))
If you open up the main stylesheet and replace the BGIMG stuff with this

The value you enter for the background will automatically be displayed in the PAGE with a width of 200px and the lightbox function built in.
Hey! good stuff TWI ! before i buy just want to know couple of things:
1- Is it possible to place thumbnails with highslide like pop up script on the homepage or in any other page.
2- Can I have the complete navigation on the left side. the bottom menu links are very confusing and hard to find.
3- also can the navigation text be images.. I mean . is it possible to change this easily with messing up anything?
so u know the navigation perhaps looks more alive..

1. Yes! You’ll find the explanation in the documentation. You just have to put a class to your thumbnails. 2.Yes but you’ll have to modify some part of the code, not just moving it. 3.Yes, by replacing the generated anchor text into the link with your image. And removing the CSS for the navigation.

Just bought this theme and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work for me…
I have created the Ajax Page and Home page and set the Ajax page not to appear in the footer but…
When I click onthe left hand category ribbon or a page, there is an /#/ in the URL and the loading image just appears….
If you click on the footer page links ditto…
No content loads or sometimes the content (page and post) appears onthe extreme right where the thumbnails should be…
Any ideas?

Thanks for buying the template! Try to desactive all plugin you have and see if it’s working. If you did exactly as the documentation says try, there is maybe a conflict with a plugin.

Creating the “Ajax load posts” you needed to choose one template on the right side. But don’t worry, you only have to set it only once. Now it’ll work without problem.

HOME is at the very bottom of the page, not where in the footer bar… 
and when you click on HOME , the content is on the Left hand side of the page, not the right.
I will try to recreate the page “Homepage” in the meantime…
Aha….setting ajax- etc on the right has cured the footer problem, but click onhome the page content is on the left rather than going back to home…
And HOME in the footer intermittently moves around

So I was saying that you can change the HTML structure of a post into the template-ajax-load.php file and into the CSS too looking the class and id into the HTML . In the documentation, it explain you how to modificate the CSS for each post… for example to change the text color if you want to use a special background.

How would I create separate page templates. I would like a different page template for each I create.
Im currently using the normal wordpress method of creating a new template page and applying it to the page from within the attributes on the right column.

I’m already using a page template to load Ajax content so it’s not possible. The trick is to add some CSS into the template-ajax-retrieve.php between line 65 and 79 (You need to see “twi_page”)
and then add the page ID and style it with CSS for each different page. Or you can change the whole design too… adding your html tag or whatever.

If you already know how to make it yes (PHP/jQuery). All you have to do is to see how loaded content behave within the WordPress… and adapt it to a HTML Version.
It will be like… one photography_cat.html and load it when you click on your “Photography” button. Then one page per post… and load it too.
In my opinion… for you or your client, it’ll be much easier to use the WordPress version… but you can do what ever you want if you want to try

Is there any way to make the subpages indexable? Search engines drop anything after the #.
Im wondering if it would be easy to port this over using swfaddress or even jquery address. Those provide a deeplinking method for seo. So a search engine will crawl the site without seeing the hash. Or when JS is turned off, or when no hash is present, the user still get content.
For the moment it’s not indexable, and I don’t know if I’ll make the modification for it. Maybe one day but not now… too much busy with other thing.

i happen to have done anything on the docs but i cannot see any bg image no matter whether post or page. The addresses are correct, and i followed every step to the letter.
I am using both images from inside or outside the server. The wp installation is in a subdirectory and i’m running the latest 2.9.2.

I am trying to get this WP-ContactForm plug-in working with this theme. Since that seems to be the only one known to not mess the site up.
I can get it to display on my page fine, but it’s not working. The email doesn’t go out to the assigned email.
Anyone care to share how they edited the plug-in to work with this theme? Thanks

I have some issues with browser rendering in Windows Chrome and IE (7,8). On the Mac, Google Chrome is fine In chrome the ajax functionality does not work. In IE there is an error message.
Did anyone else encounter similar issues? I really want to find the cause, because I have already used this template on my portfolio site http://www.strikingconcepts.nl
