Hey great theme just wondering what file the placeholder text for the job filter is? Instead of “all jobs” i’d like to customise it.

Thanks

hey guys, does the theme work with any version of gravity forms or do you need a specific version? Have any compatibility issues been reported when you use plugins with versions other than the ones you use in your demos?

Why wouldn’t you use the latest version of GravityForms?

With the last 4+ versions of GravityForms it has worked without any issues.

What happened to the job map? I was looking to get this theme but I can’t see the job maps with pins which would be great for my client. :(

Here is the link to the other demo: http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify/ that includes a display of the map.

Let us know if you have any more questions.

Pre- Sale question 1). On the resume page, can the user upload multiple images? Would be great for users so they could show off their ‘portfolio’ of work. 2). On the jobs page, can a buy now button be integrated and people make a payment to the job listing owner? Trying to think of a way to tweak the theme to work like Fiverr

1. They would need to be externally-hosted images that are entered into the description area of the resume submission form.

2. With some custom development you could likely get a solution similar to http://chrislema.com/quick-pay-with-gravity-forms/ working where a payment could be made during application. This is not something that is supported by the theme or any existing plugins though and would need to be developed custom.

Let us know if you have any more questions!

Has any development been put towards an “offcanvas responsive menu” option that would have the horizontal slide-in transition instead of the dropdown menu. This would be much more usable for longer menus, etc.

Definitely an option we’ll consider in the future. Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi,

Love your theme it looks slick!

Just wondering is there a Theme options panel? I can only find the customize theme button which has limited options :/

Do you have a timeline for an update to include a ‘Find a Job’ page without the map? An advanced search option and page builder option would help a lot on this theme.

Regards, Robbie

Glad you like the theme! Yes the options are all located in the Customize panel. What specifically are you looking for?

You can use the `[jobs]` shortcode on any page to get a page of jobs with just the listings.

If you have any more questions please feel free to post in our dedicated support forums: http://support.astoundify.com

Hi, Pre Sales Question : I was searching for a theme for a public job portal. Mine will be a public job portal. I want to know if jobify supports ads (Adsense etc) ?

You can use html adsense / banners and add them to the home page using an HTML widget.

one more question: is this theme SEO friendly? I am new to WP.

It is, but we also recommend use a free plugin like Yoast SEO to improve your on site SEO.

Pre-sale question:

If candidates can upload their resume, can employers posting jobs search the resumes?

Also, on the demo site, I noticed when you click to apply for a job..a pop up comes up w/information on where to send the resume. Can applicants apply through the theme? Or is that the only option?

Question: If candidates can upload their resume, can employers posting jobs search the resumes?

Answer: Employers can search resumes if you let them, there is a way in the backend of the resume settings to limit who can view resumes, browse, contact etc.

Question: Also, on the demo site, I noticed when you click to apply for a job..a pop up comes up w/information on where to send the resume. Can applicants apply through the theme? Or is that the only option?

Answer: Please view the demo again, the pop-up will show a contact form when you have GravityForms and Apply with Gravity Forms for WP Job Manager plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager-gravityforms-apply/

Thanks

After clicking on “Submit Resume” – strange message on top of blank page appears: “Thanks for contacting us! We will get in touch with you shortly.” Page is completely white with this message left aligned on top of the page. And that resume can’t be seen in WP Admin->Resumes->All Resumes. It says for example “All (5)” (in case that I submitted 5 resumes this way) but they are not listed in WP admin->All Resumes. But I found them in database under “wp_posts”.

It works fine if you do following: If plugin “WP Job Manager – Apply With Gravity Forms” is deactivated – the resume form works fine and it is submitting new resumes normally.

Any idea how to fix this? Thank you.

Keep up the good work.

We have a fix coming ASAP for the GravityForms issue this week.

Pre sale question:

Hi,

I was wondering if there was an option in the search for a user to enter a zip code. And also, if it was possible to display jobs that are nearby (i.e. 5 miles away). I was testing the demo and noticed when I entered in San francisco, or 94012, the job that was listed in the sunset district wasn’t displayed in the search options. Is this something that is customizable or is going to be coming out in a future version?

i am install theme but not working properly .

can you install and set This theme on mY domain

Did you watch the setup video?????

Hi! I can not find “Simple Paid Listings for PayPal and Stripe ” this plugin in the download folder. In the descripton there is not Info that it is a paid-Add-on. Can you help me here?

Ciao Stefan

All of Mike Jolleys plugins are paid, and they state that they are paid on the Jobify sales page. We aren’t the developer of the “Simple Paid Listings for PayPal and Stripe” plugin.

Hello. I’m interested in purchasing this theme…But, I am wondering if I can use it as a Doctor’s Listing Directory instead. I like this theme and layout better than any Directory Theme out there, including Directory Theme, Business Finder, Directory by Templatic, Atlas or any others.

Do you think this is posisble?

My current website is: http://www.myhealthiestlife.com

Thank you so much. Noelle

WP Job Manager – Apply With Gravity Forms new version v1.1.1 not showing gravity form when click on “Apply”. I downgraded that plugin to version 1.1 and it works again. Please check and fix latest version.

All the best

I did that

Is it enough just to upload all files from latest theme directory to wp-content/themes/jobify and to overwrite the old files or I need to do something else to complete theme update? Thanks

To update your theme to the latest version first go to your WordPress backend and click on Appearance > Themes and delete the theme you currently have installed. Only do this if you have not made any CSS changes to the theme core files, you should ALWAYS make changes to the theme using a Child Theme and code changes using a custom plugin, we have information on creating a child theme in our theme documentation.

Next go to ThemeForest.net and download the latest version of the theme by going to http://themeforest.net/downloads While your here please rate the theme :) and click on the Download button next to the theme name and click on “Installable WordPress file only” upload this zip file to your WordPress site.

Your done!

Hi, i want to create a web site similar the website adecco, com

I want that the people can put they CV, but the company, don’t can see the contact fils.

And i want to publish the job of the company, but the people can’t see the company contact.

Is it possibile?

Thanks a lot

You can do this already with the resumes plugin, there is an option see: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1657501/Screenshots/r24~q8oedphw.png

You just add the capability of who can access resumes, browse resumes, and see contact details, more information can be seen here: http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons/resume-manager/

Couple of suggestions:

1. Bringing the Location into the title & descirption (And url if possible?) – This will be much better for SEO purposes and all the location based searches e.g. Office Manager in Chicago etc.

2. Restricting Resume search to a paid only method e.g. Job Owners have to pay $x.xx to browse the database of members. (Quite common within the job market)

Also, is it possible to create sections that pull in specific search e.g. Have a menu item “IT Managers” > And on the page lists only IT Manager roles… What would be needed to do that?

1) Thanks for your suggestions regarding SEO, title & description, i’ve past the suggestions on to our developers.

2) You can do this already with the resumes plugin, there is an option see: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1657501/Screenshots/r24~q8oedphw.png

3) I’m not sure about the third question I would recommend asking our support staff on our forum for help regarding this question. Our dedicated support forum can be found Here. To register go Here.
