Nope not happy, after a view hours still not able to setup the homepage as in the demo. Not clear at all how to do that. Please help or provide a example or video tutorial or something. I just wasted a couple of hours..

Yes I did. You should very specifically quote that the name of the widget area for the first page should be named “homepage”, not anything else or the theme will not function. Or did it miraculously work after trying a million times, sorry for the frustration but just wasted a lot of time on this.
I can totally understand that, apparently the sidebar doesn’t needs to be named “homepage” it can be just anything. You just have to copy the sidebar shortcode and insert in the page.

Can I insert a “form filed” into the slider?
I basically just want to add an email/name fields to have people subscribe to newsletter right as they come in the website
I want my site to look like your demo in full screen but with the email & name fields below the text instead of scrolling to the contact page

You can use ‘Static Content Widget’ which simply outputs the content of any created page on homepage.
So, you can simply create a page with a form embedded into it, then use this page as static content as shown at our demo section titled ‘ A Static content section’.

Awesome theme! I love it. I do have one question. The Contact Form behavior is odd. The form allows you to leave the form blank and hit submit with no message.
No matter the form data (filled out or not) the button just changes to “Sending…” and does not ever notify the user the message was sent. You can keep pushing the button and additional emails will be sent. This does not seem intuitive from a user perspective.

Does the portfolio support video and audio types, or just images? I’ve been struggling to find a great theme with support for audio types in the portfolio.
If not now, any chance of adding these in the future? I have bought one of your previous themes and wrote my own hack to support video and audio, but it’d be great to see it built in.

Purchased the theme however having a little trouble with this step…
“So far we have defined that the homepage of our site will be a widgetized page named “Home”. Now the next step is to create a widget area, and decide which widgets we will use. Let’s go to Appearance>Widgets and create a Custom widget area through the panel below. Let’s give it a name like “Homepage”. Hit the “Add Widget Area button” and a new widget panel will appear. Note that this new widget panel has a shortcode.”
I’m not sure how to create the custom widget area – I don’t see any options to do so.

Sure, you can have as many pages as you wish.
Meth can be used either as a one-pager, or as a normal site with the regular inner pages. Or a combination of these two
