Dummy Localhost I just purchased this theme and havent got the demo content to work. I want to add straight away that I installed the theme on a localhost (vertrigoserv). Is this an issue or should it work without problems, is there something else I might be doing wrong.

Can you please create a topic on our dedicated support forums? http://support.astoundify.com—Thanks!

When you have companies wanting to list on the site – will they have their own login & password? And what does their dashboard look like? Is it the wordpress just slimmed down?
Yes they will have their own login. You can restrict access to the WordPress admin panel if you would like and then they are only presented with a list of their listings on the frontend. It looks similar to: http://mikejolley.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/Screen-Shot-2013-06-07-at-20.55.04.png
hi can you tell me, to make a same website such as your demo, how many plugin i have to buy beside your theme?
You do not need to buy any plugins, its your choice if you want extra features almost all plugins we are using are free.
Here’s a list of plugins we are using:
- WP Job Manager — free
- WP Job Manager – Company Profiles — free
- WP Job Manager – Job Colors — free
- WP Job Manager – Predefined Regions — free
- Jetpack — free
- Simple Google Maps Short Code — free
- Columns Shortcode — free
- Hide Admin Bar From Non-admins — free
- My Custom CSS — free
- Nav Menu Roles — free
- Soliloquy — free
- Features — free
- Testimonials — free
- WooCommerce — free
- Widget Importer & Exporter — free
A more detailed list can be found here
I know some of you have purchased themes before that came with all sorts of plugins bundled with the theme.
This is NOT the case with Jobify. We only sell the theme.
You have to download the plugin separately. We do this because it’s someone else’s plugin, and if you want to purchase any additional extensions or support, you need your own relationship with that plugin developer.
The great news is that WP Job Manager is free, and if you use Restrict Content Pro its just $42.
You can create a basic job board and even put it behind a protected paywall and the total cost (with this theme) will be under $100!
Let’s get honest for a second here. If you’re trying to compete with the job boards you see online, you should first recognize that the average job board costs between $60-120,000. That’s a lot of money.
So you may not want to compare yourself with them if you don’t have that kind of budget.
But the good news is that WordPress has made lots of things a lot less expensive. So if you were to get all the paid extensions from premium plugin providers, you might spend up to $200.
It can feel like a lot, until you realize that an investment of $200 can get you competing with someone who spent 300 times more than you did to get their job board running.
Given all of the above, you can get started for as little as $55 (buying our theme and using the free WP Job Manager plugin).
If you can purchase this theme and the additional plugins we recommend, spend a bit more, and start running a business. We’ve seen people make a return on their investment in less than two months!
awesome! thank you for your advise, i think i will buy this theme, even i need marketify theme too, but EDD bundle i think so expensive, for marketify maybe i will wait for its compatible with woocommerce or there is any more cheap plugin than EDD, good job bro, thank you

Hey Scott. The theme looks amazing. Just what I’m looking. However, I have a pre-sale questions:
1. I understand that it’s possible to add a payment option, so users need to pay to post a job. However, is it possible to integrate a way, so designers, developers etc. (regular users with resumes etc) need to pay a certain amount in order for them to view a job posting?
2. Is it possible to remove the payment option for submission, so companies can post a job for free?
Is it possible to add widgets to the blog? For example Google ads.
Looking forward hearing back from you!
Sincerely, Mika
If I may add to my message above:
4. Regarding question number 1. If it is possible to add different user paid subscription levels, is it possible to specify that a user that has, for example, paid 30USD will get the alert option, whereas a user that has only paid 20USD will not get that option but will be only be able to see the company’s contact information?
Thanks, Mika
Sorry, last question:
Is there a search function available where the users for example can add a search word and a category or something similar?
Thanks, Mika
Astoundify, can I have an answer as well?
Sorry for the delay.
1. You can use a plugin such as Restrict Content Pro (http://pippinsplugins.com/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/) to require a subscription to view listings. But you cannot specify which features they have access to in the sense of alerts. You could block off sections of the listing though but that would require you to manually add the necessary code via a Child theme.
2. Yes, by default there is no payment system.
3. There currently isn’t a widgetized area on the blog but we plan on adding one in the next version.
4. You can search on the Jobs page: http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify/jobs/—Or did you mean something else?
Hey Astoundify. Thanks a lot for your answers.
1. Would it be difficult to add that code in via a Child theme? (by the way, does the theme come with a child theme?)
3. Wonderful!
4. Perfect, exactly! Thanks!
I have two additional questions:
5. Is it possible to use the Restrict Content Pro plugin in a way, so people can use a subscription plan to view all the listing, but also add another payment option where people can pay a one time amount to view a certain listing if they only have interest in one specific listing?
6. Since the theme use WooCommerce I assume that I can use WooCommerce extensions, such as the Paypal Pay on Page extention etc?
Thanks a lot! Sincerely, Mika
1. Basically what you would be doing is copying the existing template files into a child theme. Then using the appropriate RCP functions, blocking out the sections you want depending on the subscription level. It shouldn’t be hard.
5. I’m not 100% sure and you should confirm with the RCP developer first (Pippin) but I think you can do that.
6. Yes you can use any WooCommerce gateway, but note that the theme uses WooCommerce just for selling job packages. It cannot be used as a full store.
Wonderful. Thanks for all the good answers!
One last thing (I’m so sorry, but experience tells me that it’s good to ask good pre-sale questions), do you have an example of how something will look like on a page on the website when it’s hidden on a page using RCP? For example if I used it to hide a text?
By the way, can you give me a preview of what you are adding to the next update?
Once again thanks a lot! Sincerely, Mika
We currently do not have any examples, sorry. The next version will be a maintenance release, but version 1.6 will hopefully include updated page layouts for resumes (we have no previews of this yet, sorry).
Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Wonderful, thanks a lot!!
suggestions: there should be sidebar option too why not there be automatic updates. like the themes installed from wordpress repo.
i have given 5 star
Thanks for the suggestions we are working on adding a new blog template that will include some new features as well as the suggested side bar.
Cheers.
Nice Clean and Tidy theme. Just a couple of suggestions 1. Integrate Quform as well 2. Make the “Forgotten Password” like the login/Register without going to the back-end.
Just my 2 cents
A.
1. There is no current integration with that, but we are working on a bridge for Contact Form 7 and Ninja Forms. Thanks for the suggestion and we’ll look into Quform.
2. Another great suggestion, thanks!
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Hi
This is a presales question. What I understand from the description is that the theme in itself has the capabilities of a free basic WP job manager but if any feature needs to be added we will need to purchase at least $ 100 worth of plugins? Could you please let me know what features are available in the basic theme and if any plugins are bundled with it?
Regards Amit
Hey there! The theme itself does not come bundled with any plugins. To get a basic job board set up all you need is WP Job Manager which is a free plugin that can be downloaded on WordPress.org (http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-job-manager/). You can view a list of features there or read more in the documentation (https://github.com/mikejolley/wp-job-manager/wiki)
Beyond that the addons you choose are completely up to what features you want on your site.
The addons are all listed here: http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons
There are both paid and free addons (we’ve released many free ones) and which ones you choose to use (or not) is completely your choice.
Is there specific functionality you are looking for? I’m sure I can recommend something.
Here are some features that I do need. Paid listings and integration with a payment gateway (Woo commerce based as my payment gateway partner supports woocommerce
Job alerts
Resume submission. Here I have a unique requirement: The user should be able to add video resumes to his/her profile. I cannot add these videos via youtube as they need to be private. This requirement is very important.
Packages for employers
What I mean to say that in a way the WP job manager free plugin is pretty basic. If there could be a way I could make a fully functional job site without spending so much money in addons would really be appreciated.
Hello again. I checked previous comments and found out that to make a website with all the functionalities shown in the demo would need $184 worth of plugins/addon according to your recommended plugins page http://astoundify.com/documentation/jobify/#recommended-plugins-18
In addition to those plugins I also need some way to make membership levels as done by this plugin http://pippinsplugins.com/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/
So my question is that is there some way I can at least save some money using free plugins?
Also I would want some way by which the user can upload video resumes that can be made available to the employer.
Thanks a lot on following up on my queries.
Those are currently the only addons that are created specifically for the WP Job Manager plugin, so you don’t have many options for those.
Restrict Content Pro is something you may be able to find an alternative for, but RCP is really the best one.
You can add additional fields to the submission form, but it requires a little knowledge of PHP and WordPress.
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Also we would recommend you read our “Frequently Asked Questions” section on this page, scroll down: http://themeforest.net/item/jobify-job-board-wordpress-theme/5247604/support
Hi,
The theme looks awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it if there was an option for users to upload their portfolio/works. Is this something you plan on impelementing? If the answer is no, is it possible to hire a programmer to do it for me and how difficult would that be?
Thanks
Do you mean more fields to upload a selection of photos or other material that is listed next to the other listing on the job listing page?
This is definitely possible and relatively simple for someone who knows WordPress and PHP. You shouldn’t have trouble finding someone on a site like http://microlancer.com. The plugin code is freely available if you want to check it out further: https://github.com/mikejolley/WP-Job-Manager
Let us know if you have any more questions.
Hey, going to buy this theme tomorrow.
I see there are additional plugins required to make this work, no problem there.
I want everything to work as your demo shows but I don’t want the function where candidates can upload their resumes. I just want a website where companies can pay for 30 days and display their job ad and integrate this with stripe.
Can you provide list of plugins I need so I can price these up?
Thanks
Scott
Hey Scott, thanks for your questions.
You can see a list of plugins used on our demo right here: http://astoundify.com/documentation/jobify/#recommended-plugins-18
Hope that helps!
Hey there, i am looking to use this as a photography directory. So i have a few presale questions
Let us say, a company who is trying to put job opening will be photographers in my case.
1. Can i change the custom search to have fields that i want. 2. Can i limit a user to upload a few pics only 3. Can i add anyother payment gateways?
thanks
and yeah!! can we make such a change on the map locator such that when someone clicks that locator, we can see the pics
1. This is not possible through options, and requires customization and extension of the theme + plugin.
2. You mean inside the job description content?
3. If you are using WooCommerce Paid Listings you can use any WooCommerce gateway available. http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons/woocommerce-paid-listings/
4. See #1
Let us know if you have any more questions!
1 Can u assist me in making the required modifications in the theme??
2 And yeah I mean job description content
1. We do not do modifications ourselves. We recommend http://microlancer.com or getting a quote from http://werkpress.com
2. No there is no way to limit the amount of images in the description box.
Hope that helps!
estimated its theme is well designed, but my worries a question, but the theme can monetize by charging for subscriptions?, no space to place adsense ads for examples?
You can charge subscriptions or charge for job listings using various addons listed here: http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons
Google Adsense can be placed in widgets in the footer or added via a child theme in other areas of the site.
Hi, i can customise the fill of Cv and account of the template?
Thanks
Do you mean can you customize the form fields on the submission page? Or the contact form?
The submission form can be customized if you are familiar with PHP. If you are using Gravity Forms to add a contact form you can easily create any form you would like with Gravity Forms.
Is It possible?
Thanks
Those are the same link due to the ThemeForest previewer. Please visit the demo directly and grab the links from that: http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify
Custimize this fills: http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify/post-a-job/
and this:
http://demo.astoundify.com/jobify/post-a-resume/You will need to be familiar with PHP to be able to filter the fields to add/remove them. If not we recommend a site like http://microlancer.com
Hi There
Does this come with the PSD’s
If not how can I get hold of them?
Cheers Tom
Unfortunately we don’t have PSD’s for Jobify as they are designed on a retina screen and most customers want the normal 1x version of the PSD, it would take hours to convert the PSD correctly to a non-retina version.

Hi, Is it possible to use Jobify for jobs of my company only ? and not for several companies ?
My second question : My company is a recruitment agency so there are several recruiters to post jobs with their accounts. Is it possible to do that ? Thx
Guillaume
Question: Is it possible to use Jobify for jobs of my company only ? and not for several companies ?
Answer: Yes, just don’t display the post a job page in the menu and remove it from WordPress, then companies will not be able to list jobs on your website and you can post them for your company.
Question: My company is a recruitment agency so there are several recruiters to post jobs with their accounts. Is it possible to do that ?
Answer: Yes, that is possible.
Thx you but i have a problem. I thought the “post job page” was customizable but apparently it is not easy … How to change that ? [submit_job_form]
I want added a new filed and I want to impose my company logo in [submit_job_form] instead of the import logos users. (because I use your template for my recruitment company and not as a profesional job board)
Can you help me ? Please, tell me that there is a solution!
Ok Astoundify. I’m sorry for that. I already asked my question on the forum but I got no answer and i need to move forward in my work. So I tried to give me every chance to get an answer quickly. Thx (login petityom)
I’m pretty sure I found your topic and replied on our forums. Thank you for your patience.
I like your theme’s UI.. However I’m not using wordpress. So If I purchase your theme, can i use your UI in a non – wordpress project?
We don’t offer an HTML version of the theme, sorry about that. Its a WordPress theme
Yes I can see that. But I can hire a programmer to do html version from that theme. So that’s not a problem. According to themeforest, regular license will be valid for one end product. I’m still not sure about that term. So my question is “Is this license valid if i use your code in a non-wordpress project?”
If you have concerns regarding licenses please contact Envato support.
As they have a better understanding of the licenses as they created the legal information.

ok thank you

Hi, I would like to build a multilingual job posting website where the applications for each job for each language go to different contacts. i.e. if you apply on the spanish version it goes to our Spanish rep, if you apply to the French version it goes to our French rep.
Is this possible using this theme? either out of the box or with modifications?
Thanks
You would need to allow users to use the WordPress admin panel to view their jobs and translate them through the WPML interface on the backend. As far as I know that would be the only way.
http://wpml.org/Some final pre-sale Q’s 1).How are the job posts and also the resume posts listed e.g latest listing displays first? 2).Is there a way to add a categories box similar to the jobs search to the resume search function? 3).Are there any alternative ways to display the resume page layout? 4).Am I correct in the understanding that you could set a separate payment for companies to list jobs, and another separate payment system for somebody to list their resume on site? 5). Would it then be that the company and the other person who uploads their resume, would have a separate login and front-end to upload their information?
1. By default they are latest first with featured on the top. This can be changed via a filter or if you are using the shortcode, the shortcode arguments.
2. Yes this is possible.
3. We are working on a better resume display in future versions.
4. The only option for charging to submit a resume is “period-based” meaning you can only charge to gain access to the page and not restrict the number of resumes submitted. This requires http://pippinsplugins.com/restrict-content-pro-premium-content-plugin/
Jobs can use Restrict Content Pro (linked above), or Simple Paid Listings, or WooCommerce Paid Listings. See: http://mikejolley.com/projects/wp-job-manager/add-ons
Yes the company and the employee would have their own login information.
Hope that helps!
I would just like to clarify everything before purchasing… Im looking to build a site that charges a set fee to let of people upload a job listing and I am also looking to charge a separate set of people a monthly or annual fee to upload their resume…Is this possible with your theme? and will the person uploading their job have a separate account/login/front-end as the person uploading the resume? Very impressed by your support service, one of the best on themeforest, Thank you in advance
Yes. Let me explain more detailed:
- Using http://pippinsplugins.com/rcp-wp-job-manager-bridge/ (which requires Restrict Content Pro which I linked to above) you can restrict the length people have access to the job submission page as well as the number of submissions before their subscription runs out: http://d.pr/i/jpLx
- You will then have another subscription for accessing the Resume page. There is currently no support for the number of resumes you can upload, but most likely people will not want to upload more than one. You can create any length of time you want access to the submission page for resumes.
- Users would then be able to select which package they want when registering and be assigned to the appropriate role.
Hope that helps!
Great theme!
Is is possible to show the latest resumee (entries) similiar to the latest jobs on the home page instead of ‘Job Spotlight’. This allows to find new workforce.
This is a great suggestions and something we plan on adding to the theme.
Sent you a message.
Thanks.
