1. If you need the extend the height of your row paste the content inside, just set a value for the top or bottom padding on the row.

the text sizes scales down proportional to the rest of the slider to ensure no clipping on the image. The new slider was coded this was based on popular demand as the home slider lost a good deal of the image on mobile. This is also the same method of scaling as other premium sliders like Slider Rev/LayerSlider – if you want to change it look for these rules in the mobile viewport in the responsive.css stylesheet located in the css folder:

You can indeed have multiple separate portfolio’s with Salient but the only thing is that the arrows on the single portfolio page for ”next & prev” would still move between all items. You could opt to hide them css easily though.

I want to add the revolution slider where ever I want in that page. That should seen in fullwidth. Is that possible?

You can update by downloading a fresh copy from ThemeForest, deleting the current version you have on your server and uploading the new. I recommend using FTP, but you can use the WP dashboard if you prefer.

In regards to your customizations – Did you modify the theme files directly? If so, then there’s no easy way to do the update. You should keep as much of your edits in a child theme to avoid any pain when updating to new versions

I just customized the style.css as well as the responsive.css, and some Custom css in the General Settings. It is possible to keep this? I would just like to have the Search bar in the footer – is there a way to just update it so this appears?

1. Both of those files could be modded through a child theme going forwards, but unfortunately there’s no easy easy to keep them now aside from manually applying them into the new update.

2. The custom css box will always persist through theme updates since it’s stored in your WordPress database and not the theme itself.

3. The search is now allowed to be used as a standard widget in any widget area in the latest release.
