The Full Page Slider isn’t displaying images in full width, images have been sized 1920×1280 and still will not.

.slider .image-fit { -webkit-background-size: cover; -moz-background-size: cover; -o-background-size: cover; background-size: cover; }
Hey,
the CSS modification is not necessary. If you go to Add Media > Slider and then edit any image in your Full Page Slider then you could see a setting called “Image Scaling”. In your case it was set to “Fit Image”, thus you were seeing empty spaces to the left and right. If you’d changed it to “Crop Top and Bottom” you would have the same effect as with your CSS modification.

Hi, 1. I need change top and bottom margin menu. Logo is little bigger than should be, but this is minimum size for this logo. I changed top margin of logo. I need do it this same with menu and bottom margin menu. Also i would like change size of menu font and hide tageline (under logo). On the end, move menu little bit lower, 2. Slider problem. Maybe I did something wrong. I can’t change the display time of the slide and turn on autoslide of homepage. Besides… great theme, is my favorite:) Mike

Hello, I set a full page slider template on my homepage ( http://marcopanzetti.com/ ) with ‘fit to screen’ images and I would like to remove both the little ‘progress circles’ on the bottom left of the page AND the “Use arrows for navigation” sentence on the bottom right of the page to have a clean and non distracting homepage. I can’t find any setting for doing this, could you advise on how to do it? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello !
I have a problem with the display of the futured images on the horizontal blog layout with the dark skin activated. It seems to work just fine on 1920×1080 resolution, but on my laptop which has 1366×768 it shows a white background in the pictures i choose. i tried resizing to the actual rezolution with a print screen capture which is 584×240 but it doesn’t seem to fit in the new layout. Please help, because it’ s quite a challenge to ignore this design flaw.

I posted a question nearly two weeks ago and haven’t heard a peep.
Now, after hours and hours of customization, I’ve come to wonder whether the horizontal scrolling portfolio will actually even support images that are longer than they are tall, ie, longer than the “supported” 16:9 aspect ratio? If not, this is total BS and I want a refund. How can you design a theme that scrolls horizontally but that won’t support long images? I downloaded it specifically to show off some panoramic images.
If you can tell me how to get my images to show with equal height, yet differing widths, I’ll be happy. This is all I want to do at this point, and it keeps resizing my longer jpegs, so the height gets shortened, and doesn’t line up with the others.
PS. I’ve already fixed the functions.php file thusly:
add_image_size( ‘fluxus-max’, 3000, 2000, false );
And I’ve adjusted size in WP as well.

Thank God I can figure stuff out because I still have not been able to get a response to my questions. Anyhow, I was able to get my images sized correctly, and I’m happy to say that my site is looking great. Also I figured out some tweaks so that my captions look okay in the Horizontal Portfolio.
HOWEVER: There are two things I have been unable to solve: 1) I would like the ‘Continue Reading’ link on Vertical Blogs to read “More”, and 2) I would like the FURTHER READING, NEWER POST and OLDER POST to read something else too.
Could you please point me to the php file where this can be customized? I’m unable to find it.

I am using W3 Total chache and have been evaluating my site (http://silenttapes.com) on gtmetrix / yslow / pagespeed.
The problem is the images I have in ‘full page slider’ and ‘logo’ / ‘retina logo’ . Only these exact images cause issues in the evaluation. They all fail to: -‘leverage browser caching (expiration not specified)’ -‘specify a cache validator’ -‘minified’ re: Javascript, -‘optimized’ (smushed) -‘specify image dimensions’
I have deleted them all, re uploaded them,
Can you give me directions to fix this problem? I am happy to edit the code, or .htacess file etc.

Actually the problem is with all images across the site reguarding -‘leverage browser caching (expiration not specified)’ -‘specify a cache validator’ -‘optimized’ (smushed) -‘specify image dimensions’
(i have smushed everything)
Ok so I solved part of the problem by compressing files before uploading them.
Leverage browser caching 27 (enabled it on w3, and pasted some code i found on the internet into my .htacess)
Specify a cache validator 27
Defer parsing of JavaScript 71 (JS isn’t minified correctly)
Remove query strings from static resources 81 (twitter and jetpack have a ’?’ and it doesn’t like it)
Optimize the order of styles and scripts 90 (font appears after js or something)
I assume you went through exactly the same process when optimising your demo site. Could you give me any guidance what so ever on fixing any of these problems. thanks

Another question: Is there a way to zoom out the map on the contact page to show a larger geographical radius? I want my clients to see their location in the map displayed on the contact page, and not just the local map of my address. Hope that is understandable and hope there’s an easy solution!

I love your theme’s simplicity and elegance, however, it hangs up on loading and is slow on the uptake when a user hits my home page. I have complained to my server provider and they insist the problem is not with them. Could you check out my site and let me know how to optimize the loading time and also guarantee that my high resolution images will display as resolute as possible on larger screens?

This looks like a great theme. I am a serious potential buyer, and I have a couple pre-buy questions.
1. Can a “Project” goes into an author’s archive page? And in turn the Author field on each “project” is linkable to the author archive page. (would be really nice if it’s possible)
2. Can I add a customized item into the slider, not just “project”? E.g: a link to a blog post

I think I asked this before, but can the display image for the portfolios be changed from the first image to something else? I have a set that are all vertical, so the front image is jus the middle of the picture.
Hello. Thank you for making this theme, it’s gorgeous and my portfolio site is coming along great. I have a question about some of the Lightbox settings.
As is when you click an image to open in the lightbox, when you chose to expand the image, it will not display it at the source images original resolution. For instance I’m showcasing a website and am looking for the expanded view to show the image as close to the original size as the browser permits with a scroll down to view the entire image instead of constraining the whole image to the length of the browser window.
I am very much a beginner when it comes to coding and any help would be appreciated.
