Hi, I really like your theme and would be interested in getting it for a client. The only thing I need to know is if there are more display options for the image of single portpolio page. Does the photo have to be full page image – or can it be smaller – or ist it possible to show a fancybox when clicking on a portfolio thumbnail? The images of my client unfortunately would not work when filling the whole page. Thanks in advance
Hi, thank you for your interest. The project post details page is just like a regular post page with the featured image displayed in the heading area. The project gallery can load each image in a lightbox, sure, just check out the Showcase sample. Hope this helps.
Hey there I have a question. I have created a My Account page and under the register i get this
Fatal error: Call to a member function nonce_field() on a non-object in /home/vasi/public_html/wp-content/themes/mini-theme/woocommerce/myaccount/form-login.php on line 97
Any good ideas how to solve this?
Hi, make sure you use the latest version of the theme – if the issue still persists please send me a message via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
Hi, I’m interested in buying the theme, but I have some questions before…: - Does the theme exist in French ? - Can we easily change colors of the theme and choose anyone we want ? - Is it possible to choose the units presents in home page (remove the social networks box …) ? - The picto in the home page : can they be linked to other pages of the website ? Can we put picture instead of picto ? - In the portfolio, is it possible to add small text under the pictures and not a mouseover message ? - Is it possible to see websites built with the theme ? Sorry for these questions, thank you.
Hi, thanks for your interest. The theme is offered only in English with the possibility to translate it using a .po file or the WPML plugin, your choice. Please see the item Screenshots to see a snapshot of the Theme Options > Style section – you’ll get a feel of the available settings for the default colors. I don’t really understand what you refer to as a ‘picto’, but the homepage is customizable as any other regular page is (using the shortcode generator). The portfolio gallery can have titles under each item, just check out the classic homepage preview – you can see all the features of the theme presented in the preview. Hope this helps.
when i installed the theme in wordpress it shows up in my dashboard and it says its activated but when i visit the site the theme is not there. It just shows the standard theme that wordpress comes with. i have uninstalled and reinstalled it again but nothing happens.
how can i fix this?
HI, looks like something is wrong with your WP installation or your hosting. Can you send me the admin credentials via my profile’s contact form so I can take a look at it myself? Thank you.
Am trying to use the showcase function. Have uploaded the content.xml and nothing shows up on the showcase page. How do I get this function to work? Thanks James
Hi James, the showcase option uses the [projects] shortcode with the Showcase checkbox turned on – use the Shortcode Generator for this and make sure you selected the right settings (especially Category and Tag): https://gist.github.com/liviucerchez/35c04c9ceb6057cb8d1a
For any other concerns/questions please get in touch with me via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
Thanks Liviu. I got it working. I reinstalled the xml and got the code for the showcase.
Hello, I think this is a great great WP theme. I got a quick question, tried to google it but I do cannot find an answer. Is is possible to customize the blog page, to display all posts expanded instead of being compressed? Is there a setting to change how many posts per page also? Thanks for your great template and help.
After scrambling my brains I found it, change code from the_excerpt() to the_content() in content.php I also found out where to change the blog settings in Settings>Reading
Hi, thank you for your purchase and appreciation. I’m glad you found the options you need and if you have any other concerns/questions please get in touch with me via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
I recently purchased this theme and I’m populating my content. Thanks! It’s so wonderful!
I have a question regarding your “Portfolio” version. How do I go about setting up that responsive image grid?
Hi, thank you for your purchase. The documentation covers the basic aspects of setting up a portfolio page http://docs.cerchez.com/mini/#portfolio-items – you can also see a quick video guide about it at the end of that page. If you have further concerns/questions drop me a message via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
Haha, duh! Can’t believe I missed that part. Thanks! It’s already working.
No problem, glad you found it.
Hi there,
Great theme! One question before I buy. For the banner image in your ‘Classic Style’ Home Page on the Creative Version is it possible to have different transitions between images and also either remove or change the buttons?
Many thanks
Ralph
Hi Ralph, thank you for your interest. The main slider does not contain any options for the transition animation – although a fade animation can be added at your request. You can always use your own custom slider (like Slider Revolution, Layer Slider, etc.) and paste the shortcode in the heading area. You can remove the social floating box from the left side, sure – a simple toggle button is available in the Theme Options. Hope this helps.
Ok great. Thanks for your help.
- What are exactly ‘retina ready images’? Do they need certain DPI or pixels to be categorized as retina ready? Will it have the effect to slow down the website?
- Do you have recommended settings on W3 Total Cache for your theme? (for woocommerce purpose)
- My Child Theme does not inherit theme options from the parent, including base color, menu appearances, etc. Why is that? I already set some theme options on the parent, but when I activate the child theme, the options are not inherited.
Thanks
Forgot one thing. How can I hide ‘Comment’ section on all or selective pages?
- Retina images are double the size of a normal image and will display perfectly on retina ready devices (with some effect on the size of the website, it’s always a compromise quality vs. speed) – this option also affects the way the logo image is displayed.
- There are no specific settings that will improve the W3TC plugin for this theme – W3TC is designed to work well with all sorts of themes.
- The child theme is a different theme on it’s own, it inherits the basic style of the parent theme but has it’s own option panel. Child theme options are not the same as parent theme options.
- The Theme Options offers the ability to hide the comment system for all posts, pages using a simple toggle button. You can also disable comments only for specific posts/pages by using the standard WP quick edit function.
For any other concerns/questions please get in touch with me via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
Thanks for the reply. I overlooked the comment thing. Anyway, where can I set no of products per row and per page?
Edit the utils/woocommerce-config.php lines 44-45 for now. I plan to add those settings in the Theme Options in a future update.
I try to locate the php files on woocommerce plugin and cerchez-core folder but no luck. Where is the file located exactly? When will you planning to have another update of this theme?
The file is located in the theme folder, of course. An update will be available later this week (or next week at most).
For any other concerns/questions please get in touch with me via my profile’s contact form and I’ll continue support via email. Thank you.
Does it work well with Ubermenu MegaMenu? Can it have a Side-Menu?
Hi, the theme wasn’t tested with the Ubermenu plugin, so I can’t tell if that plugin works well with the theme, sorry. You can easily add a side-menu, sure – just drop a Custom Menu widget in a sidebar and you’re good to go.
Awesome work. All best!
I’m sorry for the silly question but does the blog support pagination?:)
Yes it does, the preview blog just doesn’t have enough posts to trigger the pagination. Here is a preview of the pagination style:
Thank you. I bought it right now and i have already updated my tech blog. Thank you very much.
This is an amazing job. I like everything, especially the shortcodes (i love all of them).
Well done Liviu!
I’m so glad you like it, thank you for your purchase.
Thank you very much for the quick fix you made to solve my issue! Great support!
Great theme!
Is it possible to have video post? Not fullscreen, just same thing as the image.
Thank you, any page or post can contain a responsive video either in the heading area or in the regular content area. Take the Header Video page for example: http://cerchez.com/mini/home/video-header/
Hi There,
I have a question regarding the shop page.. When we add a product in the shop and the button under the item picture can we add a custom url where to button should redirect to or is it a standard item page?
Hi, the shop is based on the wonderful WooCommerce plugin that offers a lot of useful eCommerce features out of the box. Each product has it’s own ‘single’ page and the product gallery links to that page automatically. I think you can have external product links as well, but I haven’t tested that in the preview. Read more about it on their website: http://docs.woothemes.com/document/managing-products/
Thanks for your interest and don’t hesitate to contact me again if you have other concerns/questions.
Ok Great! Other questions;
1. Can we add more categories or is it only one category for the shop? 2. Is it possible to make the shop as a shortcode to let it appear under a cerain page, cause I want to make a custom page as frontpage and than under the text the shop items? 3. Is it possible to have a sidebar widget for the shop?
PS. Could you assist me with this issues if the site doesn’t support it? I want to make an affiliate site of this..
WooCommerce has the option of grouping products in categories and supports some shortcodes in the content editor. WooCommerce sidebar widgets can be easily added only in the Shop page for now. For more details on that, please refer to the plugin website. I’m available for theme issues only and can’t guarantee any other customization or external plugin support (I’ll do my best to help and point you in the right direction, of course).
Can we see what the comment form looks like. Currently it’s hidden unless your logged in.
Also when viewing Portfolio items, is there a way to navigate to the next Portfolio page, or do you have to keep going back to the grid?
Thank you for your interest. The comment form is a standard form which I disabled to avoid spam (even though I’m using Akismet) – here you go: http://imgur.com/O1APvFG
The project items don’t have any navigation currently and if this turns out to be a requested feature by a single buyer then I’ll implement it right away. If you have any other suggestion/question don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you.
One of the best themes on mobile! Questions:
- Can I change the button color, text color, background, etc on every parts of theme?
- Can I have the Shop page in full width?
- Is it possible to have sticky menu?
- Is it possible to display products (Shop page) like Home-Portfolio page, with infinite scroll?
- Can I have the “Scroll back to the top” button floating on the right-bottom of the page?
- Is there any more Testimonial style other than the one in the demo page?
Sorry for lots of questions, I genuinely interested in buying your theme due to its mobile friendly layout. Loving this theme and hopefully you will regularly update it to have more features. Once again, Great Job!!
One more question, do you plan on releasing Cross as a WordPress theme anytime soon? What are the main differences (features) with this theme? Thanks
Thank you for your comment and interest.
The theme has a custom options panels that blends in perfectly with the new WP 3.8 interface. It has options to change the main accent color, link color, fonts and has the standard Custom CSS field that every theme has to offer further customization. The shop can be displayed in full width, of course, you’ll just have to omit adding widgets to the WooCommerce panel. There is only the current shop layout, but I plan to extend it with more options and layouts. Currently, there is no sticky menu option, but if it turns out to be a requested feature then I’ll add it in a future version. The scroll to top feature is already available, check out the button above the footer area that will be displayed only if you scroll down a little bit. It doesn’t make sense to display it when you’re viewing the header.
The Cross template will have it’s corresponding WP version in a matter of weeks (one month at most) and the difference will mainly be in style, but I have some new tricks up my sleeve also.
I’ll definitely update the theme regularly, like I do with all of my items. Any feature request will be noted, thank you.
- Regarding ‘scroll up’ button. I know it is available, but it close to the edge of the bottom of the page. I was thinking maybe it can show after the header was not seen around?
- Honestly, I like the Cross template better, due to its simple menu placement/display and the display of the Shop page (filterable, grid). Is it possible to make this theme to be like that at the current version? If not, I may just have to wait for the Cross hehe
Definitely going to buy your theme. Great Work!
Alright, I can help you configure the scroll-to-top button and place it near the social links in the footer, if that works better for you.
The Cross template has that sweet filterable gallery for the shop, but I think that won’t make it to the WP version (because of the way WooCommerce is built). I know it would make a great feature (with infinite scroll too) and I’ll think of a way to implement it in future versions.
Cool theme my friend!!!! Awesome work!!!!
Mini Studio is amazing design!!!
Cool Theme!
