Is there a way to make it so posted attachments (eg: pictures) are displayed in full or as a thumbnail, instead of displayed with scrollbars? I know you can click the images to see the full picture, but I was hoping there was a way to just show the whole image – either full size, or thumbnail linked to full size. Thanks

Thanks. I’ll check it out. I noticed refreshing the theme undid all of my other CSS modifications. Is that suppose to happen?
No, it shouldn’t. All the templates are stored in files and the cache is just temporary data inside the database. So when you refresh the theme phpbb just purges the temporary data from database and doesn’t touch those files.
Didn’t fix the problem and reset a lot of the CSS back to the theme’s default settings

I would suggest you to edit the theme-files directly.

Great. Anyway, the fix you suggested didn’t seem to do the trick even after placing it in content.css. I’m not too concerned about it now because I have to get everything else restored.

I don’t see that css-fix inside your style. Make sure you added the code inside Metro Blue ‘content.css’ template and refreshed the theme after that via ACP — Styles Tab — Themes — YOUR_THEME — Refresh
This is at the top of my content.css file:

}
.........everything else is the same in the file.
I did that, saved the file, uploaded to the server, did a refresh. It wiped all my other customization and didn’t fix the problem. Right now I’m trying to clean up the mess it caused and then I’ll reassess.
Delete the ‘pre’ tag -
And move the rule to the end of the file.
All set now. I spent part of the day moving my customizations into the proper theme files and then tried a full refresh. Everything is back to normal. Thanks

Sorry, but we don’t have an html-version of the theme. It was build directly upon the default phpbb 3 theme ‘prosilver’.
I am getting crazy here. I am trying to change the background color to #626262 in the metro_blue theme, but nothing works. I have tried colors.css, common.css and content.css .

I tried to move the profiles and avatar to the left side of the screen following the steps here (https://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/prosilver-profiles-on-left/) but it did not work. I refreshed the theme and templates afterwards but still no go. Are the instructions in that article up to date?

Yes, the instruction can be applied to the Metro theme and it should work. Did you make sure you change the Metro theme, not prosilever?

Yes, I made the changes in the styles/metro_blue/theme and styles/metro_blue/template folders.
Nothing shifted to the left side even after a refresh. In my ACP, I have 1 style active. I did rename the template though. Do you think that could be the problem?
Maybe this will help. When I go to ACP and preview my active style it works but when I go to my live site it does not.

They are only working when viewing as guest.That means your guests see other theme than you. You need to look at the default forum theme and the theme set in your own user control panel.

How difficult is it to create an new color variation with my own color ?You need to edit color css-rules. It’s mainly done by Find and Replace command in any text editor.

A suggestion though: You should (in the admin panel) add a textarea for adding custom CSS that could override the theme CSS. It would be a great option (as a textarea for adding google analytics code or any other script!).
