The default featured slider can be used on any page but it’s global – the same selected featured posts shown on all pages. If you need different behavior, a 3rd party slider can be used. Post at forums for guidance.

That’s generally caused by not uploading the theme to theme/smart-mag/. If there’s a long named folder above smart-mag, it won’t work.

Hi, I just purchased this theme and I’m liking it so far. I had a question regarding the slider image size. How can these images be automatically scaled to fit the canvas (of the slider)?
I tried installing the Regen. Thumbnails plugin but that didn’t change anything.
I also tried adding:
attachment-main-slider wp-post-image{
width: 100%;
height: auto;
}
& a few other CSS edits but those didn’t change anything either.
I’m sure it’s an easy solution but any guidance would be appreciated.

Regen. Thumbnail will only work if you have large enough images. If your images are too small, they will have to be upscaled – but upscaling them will make them pixelated and not sharp.
Use “Thumbnail Upscale” plugin and then run “Force Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin for existing media. Again, it’s NOT recommended as upscaled images don’t look good.

Are you referring to the top bar containing “Trending:”, social icons and Search? Then yes, you can place a widget there to write any text or use shortcodes.
If you’re referring to the mega menu in navigation, there are two types of mega menus included. Category mega menu displays 2 latest posts, a featured post, and 4 sub-items from the menu constructed using normal WordPress menu creation. For links mega menu, it’s again using the normal WordPress menu system and 2nd-level items become headings and 3rd-level items fall below those headings.

you mean if i can not buy this theme from Brazil it mean you lost money from the people of all brazil and i want to tell you something else, i am from Afghanistan that i am Persian language speaker, it is few themes that support RTL, and iran and lot of arabic countries us it, what i am saying is i have 3 type of visa master,- cridet card form afghanistan and brazil but i could not purchase your nice theme, you know what is the problem afg does not support paypall and i went to other side ( prepaid credit ) it says that they do not support afghanistan cards, hehehe it means now i can not buy your theme, very sad i love this them check all my words what i said, you will lose lot of money from these 2 countries Afghanistan and brazil, no way to buy

For some reason there is a random Column in the top right of my home page. How do I remove it?

Love the theme and got it loaded just fine. I made some initial changes to the category colors but then when I went back a day later to change the colors it defaulted all category colors to the theme default “light red”. Even when I change the theme default color it keeps this default “light red”.
I’m running the latest Wordpress and the latest Smart Mag theme file. Please help.

1. You don’t have to upload tahoma or verdana fonts though as they’re default on most systems – you will just use a system font stack setting. But if you have to upload custom fonts, we can give you the custom css or you can use use any font plugin.
2. This was a bug in an older version. The newer versions don’t have this issue.

The theme is fully translatable. Can you please clarify how you want to use two languages? Do you want to have two versions (english + arabic)? Then you should use WPML for creating two versions of posts (one in arabic, one in english) – SmartMag is fully compatible with WPML.
For your second question, we do not have any issues with translating dates (in fact, they can be translated just using WordPress’s main translation). All text is translatable.

1. bbPress itself offers some of the functionality such as Edit Profile, Change Password and so on. For even more advanced frontend user capabilities, you will have to work a bit in setting up “WP User Frontend” or a similar plugin.
2. Bunyad Login Widget can be translated by using a German translation for bbPress itself and by translating the language files for “Bunyad Widgets” plugin.

Ps.: I use a german translation for bbPress. When I use the bbPress login widget, it’s translated, but in the bbPress Bunyad it’s not.
About the translation: I translated the “Bunyad Login Widget .pot” file with poedit and saved a .po and .mo. But nothing happened, the language did not changed. Is there a problem with loading the .mo file?

Its not translation issue. I want custom readmore text for every post, default WP can get it from <!-more[Custom]-> tag from post text.

In your demo i don’t see a shortcode or a specific widget/plug-in for the social icon or social counter (i see only for share the article). In this theme there is someting for use and tracking the social or i must use a external plug-in? (how many followers or how many like ecc…). And for twitter and facebook i must use his official plug-in or have you a custom of this plug-in for your theme?

There are social icons shortcodes and social share buttons, but there aren’t social counters included by default. If you need social counters, there are many plugin choices available that work without issues. For sidebar counter widget, we have one that we particularly like and it matches the design – and we have some custom styling for it (available at forums – sticky topic).

The Homepage is built using the Page Builder (or Shortcodes if you prefer that) and then set as the static front page in WordPress Settings. You don’t need to have the latest posts on your home.
SmartMag uses WordPress’s native image resizing so there’s no timthumb.
