I have a question in regard to the header background colour. I am unable to figure out how to change the background colour of the tiles in the middle_header (see screen shot).
My document background is grey, I cannot seem to find the defintion for the white background, I would like to change it to grey too.
Sorry if this is something obvious. Thank you!
Oh, and the same issue seems to apply to the footer blocks too. I would like to replace the white background with the document bgcolor.

.navtabs > li. And for the line between the header and the submenu this one – .navtabs ul.floatcontainer.

I have upgraded to VB 4.2.2 and when I login I get ”$bbuserinfo[username]” instead of the actual username. How do I fix that knowing that I created my own header and footer?

From which version did you upgrade your forum?
I upgraded from my forum from version 3.8.4 to 4.2.2 THEN installed the Metro theme. I installed the theme only after the upgrade, I guess I should have made that clear in my post.
Hi, well in fact this was a language pack issue apparently – I reinstalled the language pack I was using and the error is gone, nothing to do with the theme. Sorry for the trouble.

I have questions regarding the mobile version for vB4.

1. Why is there a “vBulletin Menu” text that is not clickable at the top left corner below logo position? Does it supposed to display this way
2. I noticed that the search bar and icongridmenu are inside a separate container that gives a scroll bar to an extended blank page below, apart from the outer container scroll bar. Does this supposed to look this way?
3. Also, I want to remove from the gridmenu “Blogs”, “What’s New” and “Articles”. I’ve been going through the mobile template but don’t know where it is located.
4. I have active sample banners in the main Website: http://naijafrontpage.hugeicon.com, but I’m not seeing these banners on the mobile site via web preview. Will the banners on the Desktop website also display on the mobile site with adjusted banner sizes to fit each mobile device, or I will have to create separate mobile size banners for the mobile Theme?

I added test banner images. None of the banners display in the mobile theme. I’ve tested with mobile device and desktop browser. Still the same issues.
Also, the Banners do not display inside thread posts positions: “First Post Content” and “Last Post Content” for Desktop browser.
I need assistance to this.

I just tested our demo forum and the desktop version of the theme works OK with banners. Just look here – http://vb4.pixelgoose.com/showthread.php?t=40&p=42#post42 Did you edit anything inside the ad templates? Because this could be the reason.

I have a request but do not know how to do this.
How can I put a Register, Log in / Log out button on the Navigation Tab so that when a user click the log in or log out button, it acts exactly the same as the default log in and log out features at the Top Menu of vBulletin?
Explain: Once the user Click the Register button and registers, the user is asked to check email for registered user info (which includes username and password), and a link to activate the registered account. And once the user return to the site on the same session, the User is automatically logged in, and the Log in Button changes to log out just as top vBulletin Login menu. This action too will disappear the Log in button once user is Logged in.
Please can anyone put me through on how this can be done successfully? I know this is possible, but do not know how to do this.

Simply put:
I want to add the “Register” and “Login” links on the Navigation tab. What snippet should I put there so the “Register” and “Login” links on the Navigation tab works the same way as the Top Menu links for register and login?

Also, the “Register” and “Login” tab will only be visible to Unregistered Users. Once a User registers or login, both tabs should be hidden.

Your logo image is just too high for the header block. You need to reduce it. I’d suggest you to set it to 90px of height.

The Navigation menu to the left has a date and time stamp. I’ve already confirmed from vBulletin but hasn’t gotten a positive reply yet. But since you are developer for Metro Theme, I was wondering if its possible to incorporate a date/time stamp on the navigation menu to the left.

Yes, I think it’s possible. You need to add the code to ’#header’ block and position it under the logo.

I would suggest you to find a javascript code for that. It would be much better. Then just paste it into the ‘#header’ block and position with ‘position: absolute;‘
