Can I throw a few questions in?
1) How can I have a KML google earth file called up in the embedded map? I’d like to have multiple placemarks but cannot figure out how to do it.
2) Is it possible to use shortcodes in the page builder text boxes?
3) Are there shortcodes that can replicate the column layouts of the page builders?
4) This video post formats are lovely when you click into them, but on the front page masonry I’d like the featured image to show up instead of the embedded video. How can I set this up?
5) I can’t see any output for the secondary image box…where does this show up?
6) In the text boxes and several other text displays, the theme does not recognise blank lines between paragraphs and displays only a single line break. Is there a way around this?
7) Can you email me the pieces for the tag masonry layout?

You’ll have to send us private msg so that we can email you how to setup grid layout for categories.
When you enter secondary image this image will be image for Homepage (grid) Boxes and you can have different Feature image.

You can do it only like this
1. Create Video Post Format
2. Create Link Post Format with Feature Image which is linked to Video Post Format, and publish this on your homepage
This is the only way without any customization.

Hi! I figured out #4 in a more elegant fashion…. in the child theme created =ubergrid-child/pukka/modules/grid-layout/views/box-video.php using a copy of box.php.
It creates masonry with featured/secondary images, and has the great video embeds in the post display! Looks great!

Hi, we’ve tested theme with early beta version and a release candidate of 3.9 and everything worked fine.
Currently we’re doing another testing round with official 3.9 release and so far we haven’t encountered any problems, so it should be safe to upgrade.

Hi, yes it’s possible to add sidebar and footer widget areas. It’s not that hard to add them and it’s advised that this modification is done in the child theme.
We’ve done this modification, added footer widget area, and we can send you a child theme just send us a private message. But you’ll have to do some basic CSS styling for those widgets.

Hi, planning to buy the theme. Just two questions beforehand.
1. I want to include a form with “Title, Name and Video Url” on the site with witch visitors can make a video post. Before it is published, I want to be able to view the post in the backend. Is this possible? How would I archive this.
Even better would be if I could include more valuables on the form, of which all could be displayed in the backend, but not all are visible in the post.
2. Can I use a custom font (e.G. http://www.underware.nl/fonts/unibody/download/) Thank You, Uli

Hi, this share button is from a third party plugin, it looks like it’s called sharedaddy, and it’s not bundled with a theme.
You should try to change plugin settings and consult plugin documentation or contact plugin author.

yes, you can use Grid Layout for category pages. You just need to enable this option from Theme Settings, and after that you can choose for which categories you’ll have Grid Layout.

Direct audio player in grid mode Hi Pukka I’m trying to have a direct visible/playable audio player from the front page or categories in grid view. It works with embed links such as soundcloud, etc. but the player does not show if I add media from the media library. If I don’t use grid mode, the player is available directly. Is this a limitation or am I doing something wrong? (I use the add media button from WP)

Hi Pukka, my client and I loved UberGrid so much we upgraded from the bundle to the full version. One question though – is there any way to reduce the amount of white space between paragraphs in the body copy? I’m not a coder so I’m nervous about messing with the .css without talking to you first. Please help? Charlie

That code worked, thank you… now it’s made the space after the headings really big and it doesn’t work with the body copy eg. http://www.saradouglassworlds.com/reviews/ – as you can see the headings are closer to the copy above it than the copy below which it actually relates to.
How do I adjust the space after the heads to be 10px instead of 30px to make it match the space after the paragraphs in the body copy?
Re: upgrade – it’s my pleasure. I believe good themes should always be purchased – whats great about the bundles is it lets us try them out and see if they’re what we need before we spend the money only to find out the interface behind the pretty website is awful (it’s happened to me). I love bundles and I think it’s smart marketing for developers, well done!
The only other feedback I have for you at this time (apart from the huge spacing in copy/headings) is choosing the fonts is laborious and long-winded on my mac book pro – I have to place my cursor at the very right of the box and pull down and then hold it down for ages while it very slowly scrolls through the fonts. A faster/easier to use drop down would be great if you get a chance to do updates!

Thanks again for the compliments, we’ve put some effort into making it, it was our first theme, and we are glad that people like it. As for the choosing fonts it’s up to the javascript that we use to style default ‘select’ (drop down) HTML element. We’ll look into it and if there’s a chance to fix – we’ll do it

Just a quick note on choosing fonts.
I’ve just tested it, and on my macbook pro (mavericks 10.9.2) everything is smooth. I can click whereever on ‘drop down’ to open it and then I can just scroll up and down using trackpad and select font by clicking on it.
You are saying that you can’t scroll using trackpad and have to ‘manually’ pull ‘scroller’ down?
I’m on exactly the same laptop / system and it’s really clunky 
when I put my cursor over the font, it ‘selects’ and goes grey and won’t scroll down – the only way I can get it to scroll with the trackpad on my mac book pro is to put the cursor right at the edge of the box until a pulldown appears, then I have to hold down the pulldown button at the side and laboriously go through every single font. What would be faster/easier (if it’s possible) is to type in the first 2-3 letters and have the fonts that start with those letters appear. There’s a lot of fonts to choose from (which is good) but getting down the huge list to find them is slow / tedious (hence the term ‘manual’). HOpe this helps?

Really strange, just tested it on chrome, firefox and safari (all latest versions) and it works like it should. Will definetely look into it and test it on some other browser/operating systems.

Hi Charlie, just to let you know that we fixed ‘select’ issue in latest theme update (rolled out today). It’s not autocomplete (yet), but you shouldn’t have scroll problems anymore.

I’ve read how to @font-face in CSS, loading local fonts I’ve converted with squirrel font face generator, in ttf and woff, etc. . But I don’t know how to select this local fonts I’ve uploaded and defined in CSS throught @font-face.
Where can I find and select my local fonts in order to be used instead Google ones? In Theme configuration -> Typography -> Text fonts, etc? I don’t find how to do it!

You should use Custom CSS (Theme Settings – Style) in order to set up different font.

Forget last post. I’ve been able to use default font without using Google ones (selected none ( “Select” ) in Typography. But I still can see a Google font external call to Google:

Roboto. Is posible to stop using this as an external font and to use it as a local font in order to save an external font (that comes withou cache compatibility, no expire headers, etc. etc. ) and it slows down the page (some ms. )
I’ve tried to add @font-face to Custom CSS but it continues going to Google fonts in order to load Roboto (even Roboto font is in the wp-content/themes/ubergrid/fonts folder..)

Hi, Roboto in the ‘wp-content/themes/ubergrid/fonts’ folder is just for backup purposes (so user can embed it if something goes wrong with google web fonts service).
Roboto, which is downloaded from google web fonts, is, obviously, downloaded from other server then yours so that HTTP connection is not slowing down downloading resources from your site (you can google “server http connection limit”) and because font is not used it doesn’t really slow rendering of your page.
If you want to save some ms you could: 1) activate ubergrid child theme, create functions.php file and copy ‘pukka_scripts’ function from parent theme’s functions.php file (that way you’ll override it). Then just comment out, or delete, this line:wp_enqueue_style('google-roboto-font', '//fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Roboto:400,300,700&subset=latin,latin-ext,cyrillic');
2) comment out or delete that line in ubergrid’s functions.php file (just a note, if you disable it this way you’ll have to do it every time you upgrade your theme).

P.S. You’ll have to have latest version of theme installed to do this.

When you open that url on a mobile device, the right widgets (menu) will appear on the right as they should. Also if you zoom in, every thing can be zoomed in correctly.
If you open my website on a mobile device, www[.]gewoonvoorhem[.]nl the right widgets will be placed under the article and not on the right. Also if you zoom in, everything will get mixed up.

Exactly, I want my website to be unresponsive, but not messed up on a mobile device. I deleted the ‘Viewport’ line in the Header file, it disables the responsive, but if you zoom in it will mess up and the right menu is at the bottom of the page.

Hello, I have installed WPML plugin and after logo.jpg issue rise up. Page shows php errors in function.php Logo is not displayed correctly. Hi, what PHP errors are shown? Can you send us a private message wit errors or login credentials so we can take a closer look? Also, logo, like any other option, needs to be set for every language separetly.
As for the ‘plain text logo’ paste this into “Custom CSS” box (Appereance -> Theme settings -> Style): #sidebar-top #logo-text{ word-break: break-all; }
If you want also to have smaller text add this (and tweak font-size value): #sidebar-top #logo-text{ word-break: break-all; font-size: 32px; }
