I am pretty new to using wordpress. I have 2 quick questions. 1. How do I change the color for the links inside each of my posts? Is it somewhere in theme options? Right now it is matching the same color as my primary color picked for the theme but it does not stand out much, so I would like to switch just the link colors themselves and leave my theme color as is? 2. Under theme options I chose 45 for the post excerpt length on homepage, how do i change that on an individual post basis? As in what if one of my posts I want the full post to be shown on the homepage and not just 45 words?

1) The link color for posts content uses primary color. If you want to change it to different color you can add custom CSS code. If you want I can give you the code.
2) It applies to all posts. It can’t be chosen for individual posts.

Yes for #1 please send me the code, id like to change that color. For #2, is there anyway around it, some kind of coding I can place into the individual post to have it be fully on the home page? If not, is there a way to change it that I make that 45 word limit be unlimited but then for each individual post I can shorten or leave fully?

Yes, this is possible. Show full content on homepage and then add <!-more-> tag in the content body. Only the content before <!-more-> tag will be displayed on homepage.
Thank you. Both codes worked great. For the individual posts where i add <!more> it works great but now in the home page for each post it says read more twice (because there is a botton that also says read more. Is there a way to make that code just be ”...”?

Yes. My blog page is southernfolly.com. You can see there that on the home page wherever I added the <!more> in, it did cut the excerpt, but now it says read more and under neath it there is also another green read more box.
Do you also know why pictures on the home page are slightly cut off if they are in the large format but once you go into one of the blog pages the photos are not cut off?
You are using an older version of the theme. Please update it to latest version and read more button will not be there.
Pictures issue will also get solved I think in latest version.
I’m having issues with the text link. They are coming out as grey when they should be blue. I looked at the css code and text link should be this color #05acd0; but they are displaying with this color #323a45; – something is overwriting our hex color. You are getting this error because you have chosen “Show Latest Posts by Category” option but didn’t choose any category for it. Either choose a category or turn this option off to remove this error.
Is there an easy way to change the style associated with a href’s? For example

Link color is same as text because you changed to color scheme to same color as text.
Anyways you can add following code to change link color for article body:
.content-area a { color:#97202a }

I just downloaded and installed the theme on a clean Wordpress install (v3.9), everything works except “Theme Options” in Admin area. If I click on tab links (General Settings/Layout Settings/Header/... ) nothing happens.

thanks for having this great update with retina support. May I ask where I can define the size of the logo? Because the retina logo has to be at least twice the size of the original one which makes it also much bigger in pixels. Therefore it would be great to be able to define a size (width and height) for the retina logo that it looks the same size like the normal logo does.

You can upload the retina logo in the theme options panel. There is separate upload box for retina logo. If your regular logo is 100×50 then you need to upload retina logo with dimensions 200×100. Rest theme will do the work. Also install WP Retina 2X plugin that is added to recommended plugins.

If you want gallery viewer for other post format why don’t you use gallery post format? What’s the difference between a standard post and gallery post if I add same gallery to standard post as well.
WPML is currently not supported. I can’t promise if it will be supported or not. It is a premium plugin and need purchase.

You can add as many images as you want in a standard posts. For featured image (Shown just below title), there is only 1 image but in the article, there is no limit.
Recent comments widget is available by WordPress itself for every theme. You can use that.

Hi - When a post is previewed on the main page, the line breaks are eliminated (for instance, bulleted lists are jumbled together on one line). Is there any way to keep the formatting in tact for a better preview on the homepage?
Do you mean when you preview the article while writing it? Bullet lists work fine in that case as well.
Sorry, that was misleading. I published a bulleted list as a post. The excerpt that is displayed on the main (home) page is just a solid block of text rather than a list. This also happens for breaks between paragraphs (so two paragraphs are displayed as one)
Post excerpt shows few words from starting of posts ignoring all paragraphs or lists. There is also a excerpt field below post editor. You can add separate excerpt there if you don’t want first words of post to appear as excerpt.

1) No, you can’t add it. You can add description to your logo image.
2) Logo is styled as it as. For any other styling you need to design a logo image.

Hi, all of my posts have a left-aligned thumbnail at the beginning. Is there any way to make these appear in the excerpt without making them a large featured image?
Also, the “related posts” at the bottom of each post is not showing images, which I assume are based on the featured image (which, again, is not set). Any way to force them to use another image from the post for this?
No, it’s displayed above title only. Related posts show featured images, if no featured image is set, they displays default images instead.
Like the theme. I need an audio post type that is not just soundcloud but regular self-hosted audio. Also, I need to be able to add content and have comments for quotes. Great quotes produce great discussions. Will this be something you will be doing in future updates?

I may add self hosted audio support in future. You can still add self hosted audio but it will not be used on homepage.
Comments can be enabled for quote posts but these are not linked from homepage.

Author images are used on 3 places and none of the images are linking anywhere.
