Hi there, Just trying to setup a Blog page, it should be as simple as selecting ‘Blog’ as page template but unfortunately when I select this and preview the page the blog side bar is there but the posts are not displayed?

Please try to add a simple page. Then add blog element in it and select all categories and set number of items to a large number such as 1000 or something.

Hello,
Great theme. But is it possible to make the titles in the portfolio overview page clickable? Now you can only click on the icon in the image to go to a specifik portfolio item. For visitors not always clear.

I am just trying to place the embed iframe code from a google map and it displays the actual contact page in the map area (instead of the ggogle map).
I have checked the google map code and it seems to be OK, any suggestions?

Yeah, Unfortunately ticksy is down right now. Please remove iframe code and only put the URL which is inside the code in Visual Composer google map element.

Do you mean you want to remove the link to the project page and only keep zoom icon on it? This could be done by CSS but please confirm this is what you want to do and I’ll make the codes for you

How do you disable/turn off the menu on the left that has the options for sample colors/pre-made skins?

It only shows up on http://localhost/ so once you move your site on Internet, it will automatically remove from the page.
Even if you don’t want to have it on your localhost, you may use http://127.0.0.1/ instead of http://localhost

Is there a way to add portfolio items to the menu?

I’m not sure if I’ve got the point properly, but if you mean you want to add a link to portfolio page, you may do this easily by- Creating a page
- Enabling Visual Composer on it
- Add portfolio element on your page and configure it
- Add the page to menu in “Appearance > Menu”
Also if you want to add portfolio items to the menu, you may easily add the portfolio URL as a custom page to your menu.
Please update me if this is what you are looking for or you need more assistance regarding this issue.

How do you change the color of the menu? I tried using the import method stated in the features page but that changed everything except for the menu, that stays blue regardless of which skin I import.

Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! This is something that you should do manually by editing scripts.js file here:
/wp-content/themes/vertikal/js/scripts.js
Please edit this file and on line around 363 find this code:
slideshowSpeed: 3000,
and replace 3000 with your preferred time in milliseconds.
I’ll add an option in next versions to let you choose the speed through the theme options.

I have noticed one issue with the main menu.
On iPad mini (iOS 7) touches on main menu doesn’t work properly. First click doesn’t process, only second and next works. But if menu has sub items all works correctly.

i have configured “BBPress” & “User submitted Posts” plugins to work with vertikal theme. However, the buttons are not visible (even for buttons that are visible, there is no text or name on the button element) on the forum & the user post creation form. i have tried various other plugins too.. but all of them seem to have this problem, upon integration with vertikal. Could you please look in to this & let me know if a fix/workaround is possible?

can the main background image slides as well?
I want to be able to put short “about us” content and contact numbers on top of the slider. Basically making the slider becomes background of about us text.
Is it possible to have a home page that does not have the content area, just the menu, the background that slides from picture to picture no need to be layered, and just simple div/content area making it a one full page no scroll landing page

Thank you for your interest in Vertikal! Background slider is not currently available in Vertikal. But it’s a good idea and I’ll try to add this feature in next versions.
About putting content on banner (such as about us and …) You are able to use Revolution Slider and in Revolution Slider you can put any content on your slides. So I guess the quick answer to this question is, yes, it’s possible.
As I said for first question, background slider is not possible, but you can have a homepage that only have a menu and image slider on it’s right side without any other contents (with some small CSS codes). If you’ve already purchased Vertikal, please open a ticket in http://themique.ticksy.com and I’ll send you the CSS code that you need to remove content area from your homepage.
