What are the requirements if i do host some videos on my hosting? What will work better the format? All videos will be up to 2-7,10 minutes the most, and just want to make sure all will work fine!. Thanks.

There’s no requirement for using self-hosted videos. You just need to increase the upload size limit if you upload via Wordpress Uploading, or you can upload using FTP.

Hi, I want to combine membership and this theme.
I wish to have certain videos public and certain videos only to membershi-level members.
Is there a way to include membership-level ON/OFF protection on post level (post edit)?
I can see only protection on category, tag, page level (entire).
Can you suggest customization of template to add this sort of custom field?

I have found this feature in paidmembershipspro.com plugin, where is the setting for posts – out of the box. However it does protect only post text not video.

I noticed the new code for showing “Read More” under the Quickview, however none of my standard post are visible under Smart Content Box
Also, on the advanced search page, I see “Any tag” I would like to change this to “Any Brand”, I found a bit of code in the plugin folder, however the change did not affect anything.

- You should find in /truemag/widget-views/shortcode-asf.view.php

No, that’s the file to override Advance Search Form plugin template. To edit Smart Content Box, find in /truemag/inc/classes/class.content-html.php, function get_all_item_video()

Make sure you have the latest version of TrueMag. Otherwise, you have to check “Do not fetch” checkbox on the top-right of the post edit page.

Sorry for missing the question. TrueMag has one-click install sample data. So you will have the same page as our demo site (excerpt the images, they are not imported).

In category page, there is only 2 type of header: the carousel and image banner.
There is no slider for profile page.
a ok, and, 2 question: 1.- how can i do for make more big the smart context box? They only allow me to show 2 row in the grid option. and i would like to make it look like the one you have in the demo http://demo.cactusthemes.com/truemag/home-page/ in the last section “also check out”, 2.- in the single option for the second smart box i had in the front page, it doesn´t show the excerpt even if i have save click on the option to show them.

1. There are many layouts for the Smart Content Box. The “also checkout” section uses layout=”small_carousel”
2. The excerpt only appears in medium & single layout.
Hi there – loving the theme – but having a few problems finding the correct settings. When on a video post and the video is in the inboxed layout – the author and date show even when I have set them not to. Also, the video (in unboxed layout) does not fit the 16:9 ratio. There is a border on top and bottom. How do I not display the author and date and how to I display the video without borders (like the rest of these site). All the best, JMM

Thank you for the prompt reply. The videos on my site are all 16:9. Should there still be a border? Can I resize to force 16:9 in the template? Don’t like the black borders. (I’m assuming there is a line of code that specifies the video size)?

also, on the post pages, the “next” and”previous” arrows for the next or previous posts are reversed. meaning the previous is on the right and next is on the left. shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Font in the “Metro Slider” is fixed. However, you can change that using Custom CSS
#head-carousel .video-item .item-head h3 a{font-family:'Arial'}
Enter name of the font-family you want to use. You can use Upload Custom font in Theme Options > Font Settings
The “next” and “previous” buttons are intentionally placed like that. You can see that idea in default WordPress theme

The TrueMag-Movie plugin does not seem to be updating. I usually perform the theme update using the theme options button on the top. However, I have the theme latest version but the TrueMag-Movie plugin is still on v2.2. Is there anyway to update the plugin without performing a new manual installation?

Currently there is no other ways to update plugins than manual installation. We are brainstorming about that

- I did not install truemag plugins as this appears as an error. Because of this I could not use smart content box. YouTube link with precise time works great on TrueMag 2.4.1. But not in the newest version 2.7.1. When I paste youtube link in Post Settings= Video URL adding ”#t=68” autoplay dosen’t work & also it dosen’t start on precise time. With ending like”t=1m6s” YT link dosen’s work at all. My site is focuse on YT Videos with precise start time. So I really need this.

It happend again. Videos works fine on blog but not when you click them on slider. I have no idea how it happend again. I know I could use <iframe> code but I preffer use just Video URL with start time.

I do not get your point. Do you want to “auto-play” video on slider? Is it Classy-style? We do not implement “auto-play” for videos on slider.
