Hello, I am having trouble with the demo import. I follow every steps from the documentation but it fails to install and upload all content with images. After few minutes I get this message : ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE. What can I do ? thanks
If you have any issues with the import, i.e. any errors, then you’ll likely need to increase the memory limit and try again. Here’s a guide of how to proceed if you come across issues:
Edit wp-config.php and enter the following at the bottom of the file: define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘64M’); If you have access to your server’s PHP.ini file, then find the following line and increase the value, for example: memory_limit = 64M If you don’t have access to your server’s PHP.ini file, then try adding this to the bottom of the .htaccess file at the root of your WordPress site: php_value memory_limit 64M
Thank you for this answer. I have already tried this solution but it doesn’t work for me. Moreover when I edit .htaccess I get a 500 internal error. I don’t know how to get to the PHP.ini Do you have another solution please ?
i found the solution. It was very very simple. I just hit the ” refresh” button in google chrome. Finally it imported all the files ….
Hi! I would like to ask 3 pre-purchase questions. I am interested in a homepage with a filter grid gallery with a repeated icon. 1) I would need at least six columns.So is it possible to add columns?as I see now there are four columns and endless rows. 2) When choosing a category (filter) is it possible to keep all the projects on the grid but activate and change the color of the icon to the ones that belong to the gallery? 3) Can I hide the project info when hover on a project? When visiting my site courtneyfarina.com on desktop the photo on the front is perfect but when I view on my iPhone the mobile version shows up with black bars on the top/bottom and left/right (depending on horizontal or vertical photo). This looks really bad. How do I get rid of those? Do I resize the image? How?

I like both the gallery setting “Masonry (no margins)” and “Full width slider”. Would it be possible to use the best of both worlds by modifying so when user clicks on thumb in masonry, photo is opened up as in gallery setting “Full width slider”? In other words, Masonry is not opening photo in modal popup window, it opens up the photo in same way as “Full width slider”, so you have photo in full width (and possible full screen). That would be super nice.

Yes, it require some modification. Since Im running MAMP locally I will try to find the correct files, modify them and test. Can you just give me a tip on which files I should look in? I will ask a dev friend for help. Like page-galleries-list-fixed-width.php and page-gallery-fancybox.php? Thanks

I’ve just purchased http://codecanyon.net/item/content-timeline-responsive-wordpress-plugin to use to display my posts but for some reason it won’t use the full width of the page in the “Full Width” page template? Would this be an issue with the “Full Width” template or may be content-timeline-responsive-wordpress-plugin?

Hi, I followed the documentation to add the custom AddThis share button for the portfolio pages… however it seems to be floating with my description text, and not aligning with the Date | Client | Filed Under, as shown in the example site. Using the theme on http://heidihelen.com.au.
Uh, I figured it out, I pasted the custom code in the “Top Sharing Tool” rather than the “Bottom Sharing Tool”. Fixed it now… might be worthwhile updating your documentation to specify this.

What is the CSS to change the width of the default page template? I have figured out how to do this with the blog, but didn’t see anything on how to change this template. And can this same code be applied to other templates and pages as well, by just modifying the page name?
How can I change the text color for sidebar widgets? I have a dark background selected from sublepatterns.com, and now the black text cannot be seen over it.
Is it possible to have different backgrounds for the blog vs other pages? How about for separate blog entries?
How can I change the opacity of the default white background on the blog? Can I easily apply that same opacity change to other pages/templates?

Hi. Your Skylab theme looks almost perfect, but I have a couple of questions before I pull the trigger.
1- Can I remove the < > nav arrows in the smooth slider or other galleries? Or better yet, remove them for mobile (they are unnecessary as swiping is user-ingrained by now) and have them hover on cursor only in desktop? I don’t want anything overlaid on my work.
2- I want to know how standards-compliant this theme is. Is it going to break every time Wordpress or a plugin developer does a minor update? This will be a business site and I can’t have it be fragile.

Thanks for the response, I understand your time may be short. Not exactly what I wanted to hear of course. If we could all afford to hire a developer we wouldn’t need this theme in the first place. I’ll have to take your word that it would be more involved than just a few lines of custom code to remove the arrows. I just don’t understand why all these themes have overlaid arrows when if you look at the pro portfolio solutions ($20+ per month fees) they know photographers don’t want nav arrows or other crap on top of their work. Something to think about in future versions to separate yourself from the pack…I can’t be the only one annoyed by this.

We are having problems with the mobile version. When you look on an iphone it’s just the logo with a blank screen with the text “Home”. I have tried removing the twitter ticker, along with all css customizations to see if that fixes things and it doesn’t. I also tried updating the theme and that didn’t work either. Do you have any suggestions?

Hi, try to remove your additional plugins to see if this helps.
It looks like it was the “revolution slider” plugin that was causing the problem which is interesting because the theme recommends installing it. We aren’t using any sliders though so I’ve left it deactivated. The home page picture is now showing up, but the menu is missing. There is no way to get to the other pages.

Hi, i want to change the themecolor to dark. I copied the css-content into the custom-field, saved. But it do not work. The logo is deleted, and the bar of the navigation remains white. What is my mistake?

anyway, when i set page to slider template add some images to the gallery, then i change the order of the pictures – always one or more pictures disappears from the thumbnails line.

Hi, I’ve customized the full width slider page in order to use the rev slider plugin, but there is some conflict and my slider is not working properly. I’ve bought the latest version of rev slider, and still have some display issues (black slides are displayed in between the actual slides). Could you please help me out with the origin of the conflict? Also, are there really 2 slider plugins included in this theme (revolution/royal)? I’m a bit confused. Thanx.
