I’m trying to create a div inside a text block that has a background style to it, so basically it create a colored line that stretches across the page.
It looks fine in view, but when I hit save, the code disappears. I also tried a css code inside the template area and still no worky.

Hey Iman,
Another question. I created tabs, and placed a revolution slider and image in a row that is 2/3 + 1/3 and the first tab works fine.
However, when I create the same thing in the next tab, the revolutions slider is cut-off a little and does not work at all.
I even tried to duplicate the tab that is working, and the duplicate tab has the same problem with the slider.
Any ideas?

yeah the slider works in the active tab, but not in other tabs.
When I create another regular row, and put slider in, works fine.
So yeah maybe something with the consecutive tabs and javascript ..?

Thank you for your interest in Vertikal! You can use multiple menu in sidebars but the main navigation (Vertical Navigation) is fixed and you cannot set different menus for different pages in this area.

Hey IMAN very cool theme.
My question, re: portfolio items.
I saw your comment above about removing the zoom option, however, I wanted the portfolio items to work like a normal image gallery.
In other words, when you click on the zoom icon, the lightbox opens up and you can scroll through all the images in that gallery.
Is this possible?
Because now, when you click on the zoom, the images that pop up, just scroll through all the featured images in the various portfolio items.

Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! I’m not sure if I’ve understand your meaning. Do you mean you want when you click on “zoom” icon, it shows images which are for that gallery post format in portfolio list?
If so, this should be done by some customization. I would recommend to take a look at Envato Studio and I believe you will find someone who will be able to help you to do this customization quickly.

OK when you look at the Vertikal portfolio demo, if I click on the zoom on project #1, the featured image pops up. Then as I click on that image to scroll through the images, you see the featured image from Project #2, and Project #3 and so on.
SO, as an example, I want to click on the zoom and have all the images that are in Portfolio #1 pop up and be able to scroll through all those images.
The only way to see that now is to click on the paper icon next to the zoom icon and then it takes you to the blog post. And then you get to see all the images in the portfolio there.
So, I want to see all the images, and be able to scroll through them, when I click on the zoom icon, and have the images pop up.
Does that make sense?

Yeah, I’ve understand it now. As you said, currently it will show the feature images of all items in that page. I’ll try to add such option (what you want) in next versions but if you are in a hurry, I would recommend to hire a developer from Envato Studio to make it quickly.

v1.5 is in development and I don’t have any release date for it yet and its main feature will be WooCommerce not bug fixes since v1.4.1 doesn’t look buggy at all

Hi,
I’m having issues Getting support for this item. I tried you’re support site but it says my email is not recognized so i’ve had to resort to commenting on here.
Basically there seems to be an error with the plugin WPbakery that comes with this theme. It’s possibly related to the 3.9 update but i cannot be sure.
Basically when you add a text box, then try to edit the text, it all appears as WHITE text on a WHITE background so you cannot actually see the text.
Can anyone help with this? it doesn’t prevent me from publishing the website but it makes it a real pain in buttocks to make changes.

About conflict between Visual Composer and WP 3.9, I guess you are using an old version of Vertikal since I’ve included Visual Composer v4+ in Vertikal v1.4 and it’s completely compatible with WordPress 3.9. By the way, if you’ve upgraded your Vertikal to the latest version and you still have this problem, please send me a private message via my profile page and let me check this issue on your site.

I’ll try to include it in next versions But for now, the quick answer to your question is no, it’s not possible right now.

Well it’s possible with CSS. Of course to do this, you should add a CSS code block for each parent menu item in your Vertikal navigation. If you want to give this to a client who doesn’t know CSS at all, I won’t recommend to do this because it will be difficult for him to change the icon each time he adds a new page to main menu but if you are gonna create a website which you don’t want to change its menu structure very often, then we could do this on your site

You are welcome! Currently FontAwesome library is included in Vertikal. So you can easily use it without uploading but if you want another font library or you want to use your own images then yes, you should upload them.
Well, what I was thinking is a little different. In my scenario, you should add pages to menu like before then find the unique id of each menu and add a custom CSS block for each menu item (parents) to place an icon before it. I could help you with the Custom CSS code by sending a sample

We can do this by some custom CSS codes, but I guess the easiest and fastest way is to replace current font awesome arrow with something which looks like a normal UL bullet. Please try this code:

Hello Not sure what the problem is but for some reason my settings in the custom css box are not being used by the theme….is there a way for these settings to take precedence over the theme settings, I am just trying to add a background texture under the logo and in the footer area, however the theme is ignoring my custom css styles.

Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! There are some probable reasons for this. Maybe your webserver does not have write permission on your dynamic.css file which is in your theme directory or it’s loading dynamic.css file from your cache or some other reasons.

About blog, as you said because of the unique layout of Vertikal, we have 1,2 and 3 columns option for blog and 4+ columns would not look very fine. Thank you for purchasing Vertikal! Yes, it’s possible. Please edit your page, then in Visual Composer elements edit your portfolio element and then in “Order Type” section choose “Descending”.
It should make your page to show new posts at the top of the page.

Regarding second question, please go to “Appearance > Theme Options > Custom CSS” and add this code there:
/* Disable Zoom Button On Portfolio Item */
.hover-box a.zoom {
display: none;
}
/* Shift link to portfolio page to the center */
.hover-box a.page {
margin-left: -25px;
}
This should remove the zoom button and make the link button center on the portfolio items. I will try to add an option for this in next versions since it seems this is a frequently asked feature in Vertikal
