Menu does not work on an iPad air (landscape).

Hi @andersondaley,

Yes, I am aware of the bug and will have a fix in place for the next theme update scheduled for first-second week of August.

Thanks for letting me know none the less.

Leo

Do this theme has count down and count up timer? And timeline for the our story?

Hi @angelmake88,

At this time those features are not part of this theme. If more requests come through I will consider it as a future enhancement.

Thanks for your question.

Leo

Hi, I’m proceeding with the website, but all of a sudden the site dos not scroll down smoothly any more. When you click on a menu item, you just go to the page. What dit I do wrong?? 6september2014.nl

Hope you can help me out!

Hi Leo,

The site navigation is visible. Thats not the problem. It is just the scrolling thats not going smooth. If you click on a pagename on the menu, the sits just doesn’t scroll you there, but just put you on that page.

It does work on a iPad though…!

Hope you can help me out.

Thanks, Dolf

Li Leo, An update… It works again. The problem was that I choose a menu, but I had to make it my “primary menu”. Take care, Dolf

Ah ok. Was just about to check it out again.

Thanks for letting me know Dolf.

Hi Leo My future wife and I are thinking about buying this awsome theme. Would it be possible, to test the Admin-Mode to see exactly, which possibilities we would have? Thank you very much and keep on the good work!

Hi @C3R38RUM,

Sure, no worries. Here is the link.

http://youtu.be/Uw-fcidBHC4

Let me know if it doesn’t work for you.

Thanks,

Leo

Thank you very much! If the theme is installed, is it possible to change the name of the menus?

You mean the side navigation menu items? If so, yes of course. That is all editable.

Thanks,

Leo

Hi Leo! Great theme, clean design and works well!

I wont ask about the screen resolution as I saw that was being addressed.

I’ll ask about custom colours, I customized the colours and went into the CSS to change the a-hover and image overlay colours -except it’s still the default pink. I went into the CSS located in Editor and in my FTP but still no luck. I want to change the RGBa to (242, 185,0 0.6).

Thanks!

Hi @khacuman,

Thanks for the purchase and your comment.

Have you tried setting that property to have !important. Do that and let me know if it works. There could be a specificity issue.

Thanks again,

Leo

Say the Groomsmen. How does the site know which slides are groomsmen and bridesmaids?

How many photos can you put in?

Where is the current demo map located?

Re making the bridal party pictures smaller, yes you definitely can. You can either target these with a specific selector through the CSS, or reduce the size of the grid container. Perhaps changing the large-8 to a large-6 or large-7? The same would be the case with the small grid. The choice is yours here.

Thanks,

Leo

Thanks Leo, Also how do I change the order of the elements on the homepage (say I wanted Gifts as the last choice)

You can do that easily through the menu settings. Essentially just drag and drop the page where you want it, click on Save Menu and the theme will reflect the new desired order.

Thanks,

Leo

Where is the info on where to edit the google map code? Also how are the galleries exactly matched up with the photos in the galleries?

Hi @ippikiokami,

The Google map is edited through the menu item. You will see that there is a menu item called Google Map. In between Settings and Performance. In there you have access to all the shortcodes, documentation, etc.

Re your second question, I’m not sure I quite understand what you mean? Can you explain further…

Thanks,

Leo

Hi Leo,

I purchased your theme and am now setting up my website. A few questions—

1) When the website is displayed, depending on the level of zoom, it will show or not show the left-sided menu. In another post, it looks like you refer to editing the media-queries.css file to alter the functionality. Would I just change the “min-width: XXem” part to specify what level of zoom to do a respective function?

2) When the side menu is not displayed and the menu is at the top of the screen, clicking the three lines on the top right does not bring up any kind of menu replacement. Any idea what could be wrong here?

Thank you

Hi Brett,

Thanks for purchasing the theme. Here are the answers to your two points.

1) Firstly zooming in/out would not be how a user would actually use the site. But I understand what you mean. The media queries trigger at different points which is why you may see the side navigation on desktop but not on mobile for example. That is the beauty of responsive websites. They accommodate the users device. So if you wanted a specific item to be shown for longer or not hidden, then yes, you alter the em values either smaller or larger, that will depend on what you want.

2) Yes, that is a known bug one which I will fix up once I am back from overseas. The update should be available by start-mid August as that is when I’m back. Once I do the fix you will get an email notifying you that an update is available for the theme.

Hope that clears things up, thanks again.

Leo

I am interested in purchasing this wordpress theme, but have a quick question: It seems that, when clicking on the left-hand menu in the live preview, the scrolling does not exactly line up with the page perfectly. It seems like, for instance, when clicking groomsmen, it scrolls to the general area but does not scroll down far enough. Is this something that I could edit / fix if I implemented your theme on my own website?

Replied through FB :)

Hi I think I have the same question as @rachelleesterhuizen, I’m having an issue with the photo gallery where if I use anything other than a square photo the alignment on the vertical and horizontal photos is messed up in the grid. Is there a way to set a square thumbnail but have the full vertical or horizontal pic display in the lightbox when it comes up?

thewardwedding.com

Hi @nsw1216,

Thanks for purchasing the theme and for your comment. You could have a different aspect ratio on the images if you wanted to. They don’t necessarily need to be square. If you wanted this, you would need to alter the CSS as well as the PHP code as the theme does not have this out of the box.

Re your Pinterest idea, I like it. Though it is not a feature that has been highly requested. If I see more of my customers wanting this feature, then I will mark it as an enhancement on a future update.

In the meantime I can point you to a jquery plugin called Masonry which has a Pinterest kind of effect to it. You would need to write some custom code for this though, so if you are not comfortable in doing this perhaps hire a developer that can. Just a thought.

Thanks again and all the best.

Leo

do you know which php file it is in?

Hi @nsw1216,

The photos section of the template is found within the Eternity Suite plugin. The specific file is found under the following directory:

/eternity-collection-suite/eternity-gallery.php

Thanks,

Leo

Hi Leo, congrats on the theme. Stylish and clever.

A glitch though – if you click through to a blog post, for example on your demo site

http://wp.themechills.com/eternity/the-secret-to-having-a-great-wedding/#more-356

...the sidebar menu ceases to function. You can’t even click on the “big initials” header at the top to return to the front page.

This is kinda annoying :) any chance of a fix?

Hi Leo, any ETA on a fix?

Hi @sgarlick,

Re this question, I hope to have this fix (as well as others) submitted by this weekend. If the ThemeForest review teams accepts them, then they should be available by next week.

Thanks,

Leo

Awesome. Cheers for the quick response.

Wanted to reduce the image size of the header, to leave a border. Is this possible?

Hi @aleesantos,

Thanks for the purchase. You can modify anything you like really. To do what you want you need to find the corresponding selector and modify it to suit your needs. You will find these in both the style.css and media-queries.css.

Let me know how you go.

Thanks,

Leo

Hello, thanks for replying. I knew it was necessary to change the style.css file, but did not know the specific line. But ever met. I suggest this change as an option in the next update of the theme :).

I have another doubt: widgest Callout Button ”# RSPV is not working properly, is showing 404 error not found in Notice:. Http://karineethiago.com.br.

Thank you.

Hi @aleesantos,

I see you got your issues working. Is this correct?

Let me know if not and I can take a further look for you.

Thanks,

Leo

Hi, loving the theme, found it really easy to customise thanks to the documentation files.

Couple of things I’m struggling with though: 1) How do i change the colour of the radio buttons on the rsvp form (using the demo content) 2) the background of the header sections of the contact form (kindly response by..) is white instead of grey. How can i change it? 3) is it possible to reduce the gap at the top of a page? when using the nag to roll to a page, often i need to scroll down to get a better view. Reducing the distance between the page title and the top of the page would help a lot 4) using the slider function; I’ve added static text to the corresponding page, so using it like an image gallery. Is there any way to reduce the distance between the bottom of the slider & the text? using block quotes tag straight after slider code?

many thanks :)

Hi @mattelliott39,

I see what you mean. Screenshots always help :)

It appears you’re wrapping the image in a blockquote, which means it is inheriting it’s padding values.

If you like send me access to your admin area and I can fix this for you, or, take a look at how the demo content was structured and do the same.

Let me know how you go.

Thanks,

Leo

argh of course! Thanks, managed to fix it. One last, question (i promise) – The title on one of the pages is too long, but we don’t want to change it – i’ve tried reducing some of the values in the css sheet to try reduce the size, but no joy – screenshot here https://www.dropbox.com/s/txtj958mcjijutm/Screenshot%202014-07-05%2015.21.34.png

Sure, no problem.

So to fix that heading you would reduce the font-size value in the selector labeled .section-title on line 174 in style.css. Perhaps change the value to 3em? That will be up to your personal preference. You can then add new values to the larger breakpoints.

Thanks,

Leo

Hey,

I have a pre-purchase question regarding this theme. Can the RSVP form be set up to only accept responses from individuals that received an invitation and to limit those responses to the number of guests included in their invitation?

Please let me know and thank you! Love the theme!

Hi @tghanime,

Thanks for your comment.

The RSVP form is powered by Contact Form 7 (WP plugin). I gather only the people that have your website address would know to RSVP. So essentially there would not be a need for such restrictions. If you did want that kind of functionality it would be quite extensive.

I’d like to share with you what I did for my wedding site and that was to password protect the site itself and only give access to my guests.

Re guest limit, once again, I would simply put a drop down or radio box with the max allowed and that would do the trick.

Hope that gives you some ideas, if it suits then yes you could do that, though you would need to find a plugin to password protect the site.

Thanks again,

Leo

Hello Leo,

I love your theme, great job. I recently purchased and i’m trying to install the theme and can’t find the demo content anywhere in the zip file. Im sure it’s probably just me, could you point me to the correct path of the demo content?

//Andreas

Aww, sorry. Found it, i was looking for the wrong file format.

That’s great Andreas. Glad you found it and thanks for the purchase.

Hi Leo,

I seem to have an other problem with our site. 6september2014.nl

On some computers the acts responsive. When I look at the site ons safari on my mac book pro retina, the site is as it should be, bud on my mac and on a windows pc, it looks responsive. The site seems to think it is shown on a iphone or ipad.

What is going wrong???

Dolf

Hi Dolf,

There is actually nothing wrong at all. The site is responsive which means it will “respond” differently based on the device and it’s resolution.

If you did want to change this you will need to modify the media-queries.css file and alter the break points to suit your needs.

I hope that clears things up, thanks again.

Leo

Hi, thanx for the great template! I really enjoy customizing it.

One question though. I have a site in Dutch and were I use the widget “Wedding Couple Name” there is a “and” between our names. How can I change this in “en”. The rest is already in Dutch!

I hope you can help me out here!

Hi @Menkhie,

Thank you for the purchase, happy to hear you are enjoying it.

Considering you need to change the “and” label, best way to do this is to do a global find on the source code for the word itself.

If I remember correctly it would be in the widgets directory. Because I am overseas at the moment I cannot confirm this.

See if you find it in one of those files, if not let me know and I’ll see what else I can do from my end.

Thanks again,

Leo

Hi Leo,

I found the file and changed the “and” into “en”.

Thank you for the support!!

Dolf

My pleasure Dolf, glad it worked :)

Hello, When using Firefox and IE, if I make the window smaller, the Gift images stack on top of each other and are not centered even before the mobile navigation appears.

Any idea how to fix this please?

Hi @prahlm93,

Could you send me a screenshot of what you mean specifically?

Thanks,

Leo

Sure thing. Let me know if this link works: http://s10.postimg.org/a0pyx2zw9/Gifts.png

Good find. I’ll add it to the list of fixes.

Thanks @prahlm93.

Hi,

My image spacing in the photo gallery is a bit messed around and also only displays 10 images? Some help please.

Can you send me through your login credentials through PM and I’ll take a look at it for you.

Where do I send a private message?

Got it. Will take a look at it now.

Hello, For Firefox, the text of “Kindly respond by May 1st, 2014. We look forward to celebrating with you!” on the RSVP forms isn’t centering. Any ideas?

It is centered in Chrome and IE11.

Actually, only centered in Chrome…

So I solved that by doing align:center in the legend tag but seems a sloppy way to do it.

Hi @prahlm93,

Yes, I am aware if that, but it is not actually a bug. Those browsers do not support centering of the of legends. The labels degrade gracefully.

Thanks,

Leo
