PowerMag supports buddypress and it integrates it aesthetically but it doesn’t provide additional features to the plugin.Btw users can normally post activity updates through the front-end, but I don’t think it’s possible for them to create regular posts.

There’s the XML sample data generated by wordpress importer included, which will import posts, pages, comments, menus. Widgets still have to be configured manually though (it’s a WP importer limitation unfortunately).

I’m thinking of purchasing this theme to use for a business membership site. Do you feel that’s a good use for this theme? We need to be able to search members directory by business type, using main categories as well as subcategories (retail > art supplies, etc). Also, I’d like members to be able to create their own posts for categories of events, offers, news, etc. Members will also need a page with their profile info (name/contact, logo, hours, description).
Will this theme work well for those purposes?

The theme doesn’t actually have specific functionalities for your desired use, although I guess you should check out BuddyPress features to see if it can do what you are seeking for, I think what with a good magazine theme like this one and a good plugin selection you can achieve what you are looking for though.

Hi! I purchased this product a few days ago & have been tinkering with it. I’ve run into a problem with the social count plugin, where the vertical design option overlaps itself.

PowerMag is translation ready, it comes with default.po .mo which can be translated with some freeware tool as Poedit.

Hi,
Social count widget needs to be downloaded separately. It’s a matter of a couple clicks you should see a notice in your WP dashboard. You could find more info about this also by searching through tickets on the SUPPORT SITE rather than comments here.
As you say the vertical carousel grabs the latest 5 posts (with a featured image set)

Well…from what I find I see that not many people read the documentation. But I’m having an issue with the Category Styler. I’m trying to pick a color for each category but it just isn’t applying it.
I input the HEX code directly and it seems to save it, but the color doesn’t change within the category. Same thing happens if I choose the color directly on the color-picker.
help?
Also…I’ve applied it to all sub-categories but it only aplies the color to some posts and others have the main skin color…
Do the sub-categories grab the same color as the parent category? Or do I have to add the color to each sub-category as well?
Anyway…just wanted to know if there is a known issue with category colors in the latest release. Like if one post has two parent categories, the color gets all screwed up.
Problem is, this is happening with a whole parent category, i want it green and when i click on it it’s blue…like the main skin color for the homepage.
NVM….it WAS conflicting with another parent category…
...okay…sorry for so many replies, if I could delete them I would. But I have a new issue…now the corner color is not showing up on the homepage for the menu categories…but when i click on a category, the color is there…let me show you

I believe the issue with menu items on the homepage is there because there’s probably a JS error triggering in the page. I assume that that’s because the news ticker is empty, but I would need to see this in action. Please open a ticket on the support site and it’ll be processed as soon as possible.

Is it possible to add a widget that supports the network function of wordpress? So maybe a widget that shows news from a networked blog or all blogs in the own network?
I know that there are already plugins for it but they’re all looking sadly bad or crash the layout ^^. This would be a awesome feature!

It would definitely be possible, although it’s the first time I get such request, being a stock template I do usually implement the most requested features. This is kinda specific to your needs, but I’ll definitely consider this.

After I install and enable the theme people can’t comment on my website. When they fill the comment form and press “comment” they get the following message:
“Please fill the form.”
However all fields are filled
It was a conflict with another plugin. Solved.
