If you want to add a slider to your blog style homepage, why not add one via Theme Options -> Homepage? You can add a grid or slider above blog style homepages there.

I want to use the “SLIDER: A” option. They only apear on Valenti Builder.

Ah Slider A is only for the Builder, but that is a good idea, I will try to add Slider A to the homepage options in a future update.

OK. To change the module F i need to change what file?

Can you explain what the problem is with your menu? They all work fine in the theme demo and other users sites, so perhaps try disabling all your plugins to see if one of them is causing Javascript issues.

Hi Cubell ! Thanks for your reply ! I have the menu working fine, but you are down on the page and flip left to right the menu item (links and text) remains always at the top of the page (as also in your demo theme), just open valenti.cubellthemes.com on your iphone scroll down till HIP HOP article, flip left to right. you will see that at left side you have a blank black table without any content, to see the content you have to scroll up till the top of the page.

I would like the content of the small menu to appear in same place where i flip the page, without going up to see the menu content.

(I’m not using your theme on WP but on the static HTML page), but this issue if also on WP theme as you see in your demo version.

Ah I see what you mean, this isn’t actually a bug at all, as it is working as expected, but you are 100% right, this isn’t ideal for user experience, it’d be much better if the menu was “fixed” to the screen, I am working to make this happen in the next theme update.

1. Center the Headers that appears over images in the grid. 2. Is it possible to show more text on the image in the grid insted of just the header? 3. How can I change color of this same text? 4. Whats the best way to add a “sign up for newsletter” widget to the homepage, for example with mailchimp?

Thank you very much for your purchase, I hope you enjoy using the theme.

1- The headers are already centered horizontally, if you mean vertically, that isn’t that simple to do, and the best you can do is copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

.cb-grid-4 .cb-article-meta, .cb-grid-5 .cb-article-meta, .cb-grid-6 .cb-article-meta { bottom: 0%; }

and increase the 0% a bit until they are roughly where you want, but note this will not be perfectly vertically centered, as for that requires a lot more complicated customizations.

2- Not without customizing the grid code + css, and this goes well beyond the scope of my free support policy. I’d recommend looking on http://studio.envato.com for a developer to help you out, as that site is run by the same people who run Themeforest.

3- You can change the grid header titles with:

.cb-grid-4 .cb-article-meta h2 a, .cb-grid-5 .cb-article-meta h2 a, .cb-grid-6 .cb-article-meta h2 a { color: #fff;}

4- You need to look for a plugin for that, there are lots of good ones on Codecanyon.net, and also some good free ones, such as: wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/

5- You can change the body text color in the theme options

6- Some modules show excerpts and some don’t, are you sure the module you are using does?

7- Try adding this custom css:

#cb-footer #cb-widgets { text-align: center; }

That will center most things that don’t have an explicit “text-align: left”;

1. They are centered in large grids, but on smaller ones they appears in the bottom.

5. But can I change color of the actual blocks under headers? Now they are all set to alight grey.

6. Seems to be exactly the same modules as you have on your demo. (Module A)

7. The actual widgets are centered, but I meant the menu inside the widget. All categories and pages ends up to the left with a little dot in front of em.

5- Can you share a URL a point out exactly what you mean by blocks under headers? Are you talking about modules/widgets?

6- If your posts aren’t showing excerpts, edit the post and check if you have a manual excerpt for them. The theme will automatically create a short excerpt unless a post has a manual excerpt, in which case it shows that. Edit post and on the top right of the screen click the “screen options” button and then make sure the “excerpt” option is checked, once it is, scroll down to the manual excerpt box and see what is going on there.

7- What menu? If you share a URL I can take a look and try to help.

Also, sometimes it can be very hard to read the text on the images posts on the frontpage. Is it possible to make a dark shadow or something behind the text, so that it will be more readable? Thanks.

The only way to get one column footer is to edit the theme, and even though I haven’t tested this, try this: select the three column version, and only add widgets to one footer area, and then copy/paste the following code into your Theme Options -> Custom Code -> Custom CSS box:

#cb-footer .cb-footer-a .cb-one { width: 100%; } 

Hopefully it all works for you.

To change the colors:

#cb-footer { border-top-color: #333333; }
#cb-footer #cb-widgets { background-color: #272727;}
#cb-footer .cb-footer-lower { background: #1c1d1e; } 

The first line there is for the top border of the footer, the second line is the widget area background color, and the last line is for the copyright block.

You can easily add a semi-transparent block behind the titles in the grids:

.cb-grid-4 .cb-article-meta, .cb-grid-5 .cb-article-meta, .cb-grid-6 .cb-article-meta { background: rgba(0,0,0,0.5);}
