Hi, great theme. I recently purchased it and it’s being developed by a third party. Is it possible for Megatheme to provide links to sites that are using the Heat theme in addition to the ones listed here? I currently have Heat v 1.2.1. How do install v 1.3.1 without losing all of my customizations? Do I have to uninstall the current theme and then install the new version? Thank you!
Hi, first back up your customization.
Visit your downloads tab and re-download the new version.
Next activate default WordPress theme and uninstall old Skylab theme. After that navigate to Appearance > Add New Themes > Upload page. Select skylab.zip file. Press the Install Now button to upload and install the theme.
After uploading the theme, you have to activate it. Navigate to Appearence -> Themes page to activate the theme.
If you want to modify an existing theme, it is better to do it by creating a child theme than by modifying the parent theme directly. Read more http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes
Hi, one question. Hope you can help: I want to localize the theme a little bit an change ‘back’, ‘previous’ and ‘next’ at the portfolio-pages. changing the single-portfolio-php, as suggested, has no effect. Any other ideas?

I’ve been added as an editor to a site using this theme, and I had a question regarding the layout. Is there no way to get content below the slider on the Home Slider layout? We need the full width slider, just like it is now, then content below it. Seems like I’m just missing something, right?
I’ve tried putting content in the text box and nothing shows up. I’m not even incredibly picky on the layout, I can get plugins to do that. But there’s nothing below it.
Hello, what you’ve described isn’t possible without modification to the theme.
I’ve tried to upgrade to the 1.3.1, – but decided to continue working on the 1.2.8 as I see some functionalities not working out for me. I miss the menu when opening the pages on mobile. When inspecting the rendendered markup, – I don’t see the mega-menu-dropdown. This might have been changed?

I have a problem with highlighting on mouse hover in Image Gallery type of page. There are some unhighlighted lines at the right side of preview. I’ve tried Safari and Chrome browsers. How can I fix it? You can check my gallery here http://ermakova-photography.com/gallery/thailand/

Hi, I installed plugin “q Translate META” for the meta tags, but once done, the slider stopped working completely (only the header and footer were there but no image at all). So i have to roll back the server for the site to work again. Is there a special conflict with this plugin? or can you suggest another plugin that is compatible with the theme? thanks

I’m considering this theme for my continuous horizontally scrolling webcomic. Do you know if it’s possible to display and navigate images wider than screen width in “full height slider gallery” mode? For example many of my images are 5,000px + wide. I don’t want them scaled down to fit width-wise… but rather scaled exactly by height and then have the excess width scrollable.

Hi, purchased the theme, posted a ticket – still waiting for a response. My question is, why does the homepage (after importing the XML file) not appear like the Demo homepage. I get images/squares that are hiding under the menu. I checked other sites on here where people also purchased the HEAT theme and I see the same issue?! Is there a fix for this? I reinstalled twice and get the same result.

Was wondering if there is a way to make the images crisp on the gallery masonry page?
