I would like to be able to add extra/custom credit card icons. I want to have things like a email/money order icon. Just allow us to upload a custom icon for this section would be awesome.
Will continue tinkering around with this and post more suggestions as I see fit. I love this theme though!

Hello i just finished setting up everything with this theme! but the pagespeed shows

p.s. – all theme js is minified but some plugins js is not minified by default but this can be minified aswell using BWP Minify.

Yes the update is live on the demo site and is in the approval queue. The performance of the theme is now on a par with any WooCommerce theme here on themeforest with a Google Pagespeed of 76.
I’ll see if there’s any issues with latency from North America but the server is based in NJ, USA so you’re latency should be minimal.

I logged on to a VPS I have in North America and the demo site is loading super fast with no issues from there so this is most likely something localized to your environment (either your own computer or your ISP).

loading faster now
When I initially installed the theme and plugins. The entire site turned white and never loaded. I reinstalled the theme and the Captiva Toolkit plugin is what drags the site down. I have removedit. It says the Captiva Toolkit plug in is required. Is there something that I need to do with this file/folder in oder to make it work correctly so it does not break the entire site?

Is anyone seeing a problem where there is no ‘Add To Cart’ button being displayed? Am I missing something, I can add a product to my favorites, but that’s it.

Is it a variable product or a simple one? For a simple one, ensure you have stock assigned. For a variable you need to set up variations before they appear. A price must be set for each. Also ensure you have ‘Catalog Mode’ switched off.

If I switch back to the default theme, the button then shows up. so it’s not how the products are setup.

Hi there, we recently purchased the theme and for the first time ever with a word press theme we have problems – basically its not working at all

We think we have the issue solved. The /captiva folder permissions was set to 700 rather than 755 on your server. We’ve changed it now.

Any reason why when I activate this theme it loads so slow that I start to give up on it loading. When i switch to any other theme pages load perfectly fast. My customers would give up buying at the rate this is loading, any ideas as to why this theme loads the pages so slowly ?

Noticed a bug, when viewing the size chart via iPhone the chart opens small, you zoom in to see it and it crashes Safari. I can repeat this glitch over and over.

Is there a way to disable the flip effect on products for the mobile view? It’s kinda glitchy when trying to scroll sideways and the flip activates as well on touch but is nice on desktop. Would be nice to have a toggle to shut off on mobile.

Nice theme, lots of options. However seems to have a problem with SSL and using secure checkout with the WooCommerce. Within the meta data in the HTML you don’t change the links to https from http when grabbing logo and favicon. This breaks the SSL and prompts and SSL warning that not all items may be secure, I understand why I am getting the warning but average users will not. Is there a way around this?
Also, widgets seem to be off with CSS using Chrome, prices can overlap product description, looks jumbled now.
Take that back, looks just as bad in IE as well. Working on a way to fix this in my theme settings.

There are lots of addons for WooCommerce if you would like to buy them but you don’t need them.

Can we place Featured products on the front page with the scroller? Anyway to display these areas without the scroller and just a grid? Also anyway to display all products on the front page?

my own servers. been using customer servers for 16 yrs. It’s odd, I disable your theme and everything works, enable and load times out.

it definitely shouldn’t be timing out – we’ve not had any other reports of time outs. I suspect something else is going on.

It might well be something as simple as a permissions issue on the root theme folder – double check the main theme folder in /wp-content/themes/captiva is set to 755.

If you go to ‘Captiva Theme Options’ and ‘Top Bar’ you’ll see a space to edit the text that appears.
We use the fontawesome icon set so to add a mail icon you can use:

Hello – It’s a very nice looking theme with a lot of great features… but unfortunately there have been a few issues so far.
Nav menu links do not work when viewed from both iPhone 4S or 5. I have not tested any other kind of phone or iPad/tablet.
Site does not adjust correctly when viewed on the iPhones, some breadcrumb text overlaps when viewing a product category page. The breadcrumbs and the menu are completly overlapped when viewing the product description page.
Pages load too slow. Watching the double helix for 4 or 5 seconds between every click is a problem and when someone is shopping online they will very quickly grow tired of this and move on to another site. PageSpeed Insights gives both mobile and desktop fairly low scores. Prior to installing this theme we were running WP with WooCommerce on the same BlueHost shared hosting package with no speed issues.

Re: nav menu links – are you seeing the mobile menu links on the iPhone 4S/5? We’ve not had any other report of any issues with the mobile menu on smartphones – again if you could send us a link to your site that would be great. If you’re working off a local version you can send us screenshots via email.
Re: page speed – we’ve an update coming in the next few days which will speed up page rendering.
In the meantime if you could send us as much detail as possible via email we’ll look into this straight away for you.
